How do you measure for the hood? I have followed your steps and am to that step....I am not sure how to make sure I don't end up with a good that won't for or is too small for the collar that it attaches to...
As I say at 0:50, the dimensions of your robe will be based on your measurements. My dimensions would only be helpful to you if you were going to make a robe for me :)
It's just in half! The left and right sides of the robe are identical, so I fold my fabric in half and cut through both layers to make a symmetrical piece.
Like I said in the video, if you don't have a basic level of sewing experience, I recommend that you go to your local fabric store and get a commercial pattern! Simplicity 5840 is a good one.
So you didn't understand the part at 0:36 where I literally said that if you don't know how to sew, you should use a commercial pattern instead of this video? Great.
The sped up parts aren't meant to be instructional, they're just meant to give you an idea of what needs to be done. You should (obviously) pause the video while working. :P
Sorry, no. My sewing machine is a hand-me-down, I am not a good resource for information on what kind of sewing machine to buy. There are already plenty of videos out there about sewing machines.
