I just made this for my son’s Halloween costume! I bought a piece of cardboard (presentation board) from the dollar store, and I used the cardboard tubes from two wrapping paper rolls. The only thing I didn’t add was the foot stand because I figured that might trip him up trick or treating. Overall I spent $6 for materials, hot glue sticks, and mod podge all purchased at the dollar tree. It looks fantastic and way better than the $35 one from spirit Halloween that is almost half this size!
Fab tutorial - thank you! I'm making one for my 7-year-olds Book Week costume (Harry Potter, quidditch style from Chamber of Secrets). So I think I'll scale down the size a little so it's easier for him to carry about. And when Book Week is done we can hang it from the ceiling in his room :D
I can't wait to make this!!! Once I get some cardboard I'll be crafting to my heart's desire!!! Thank You for this awesome tutorial video that I'm sure ALL Potterheads (especially crafty ones) would love!!!
Thanks so much for such an awesome video! I followed your steps and spent a little extra time making sure my finishing layer of masking tape ran lengthwise to minimise seams. I used a neat paint technique on the handle and bound some dollar store decorative willow over the tail. I was really pleased with the result and hardly spent a penny!
Hey, I made this and tried to fly on it. It did pretty well until I flew over the lake and I fell in. Now my broom is ruined, and I'm drenched. Anyone else experiencing similar problems?
You could definitely use hot glue. Alternating those pieces makes it pretty strong, but obviously it will depend on what you do with it. Mine doesn't wiggle at all and feels pretty firm when I hold it.
The size of my card board is 73 x 55 cm And the thickness is 1.5 mm and I have 6 pieces will it work , and when I am making it I will upload the video on my UA-cam channel the name is JustRand0m
When i first saw the title, i was like yup no way he can built it out of cardboard. But you proved me wrong. That’s some insane creativity. I love it.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that
Your awesome keep up the good work

Hey, I made this and tried to fly on it. It did pretty well until I flew over the lake and I fell in. Now my broom is ruined, and I'm drenched. Anyone else experiencing similar problems?
😂
@Ryle Franco Navarro Why? Because I made a joke?
@Ryle Franco Navarro man don't be that rude!
Ya man it sucks
Thanks, im making this now. Will you make a wand ?
I'm not sure. What wand do you think I should make?
@CardboardCosplay I'm not sure, something easier to make with cardboard like Harry's wand or maybe Hermione
@@TheGooselberry I'll look into it!
I am going to try it but will it work with 1.5 mm cardboard
It should work with any width....but you may need to adjust the amount of layers. Just make sure it is thick enough to be sturdy.
Good luck!
How did you blow up the picture to print on several sheets of paper like that??
I went on a website called Rasterbator. It's free and lets you blow up pictures to whatever size you want.
Brilliant!
Thank you!
Sick
Can you make a Harry Potter wand with just paper from Lily K
Good idea! I'll add it to my list
Hey can we use hot glue instead of school glue and if we change the seam every time will it be strong
You could definitely use hot glue.
Alternating those pieces makes it pretty strong, but obviously it will depend on what you do with it. Mine doesn't wiggle at all and feels pretty firm when I hold it.
I just made its really strong and firm I just need to color it.Can you please try to make an arc reactor because ur videos are easy to follow
What tape did you use?
Hi. Just regular masking tape from the dollar store.
@@CardboardCosplay thank you
What type of glue did you use?
I used regular white glue I got from the dollar store and hot glue.
schlecht
niice man
Thanks!
1:05 🤔🤔🤔please help me
Sure, what do you need help with?
Is this a free template
Yeah, I just used a printout of a picture of the broom. Feel free to do that too!
The size of my card board is 73 x 55 cm
And the thickness is 1.5 mm and I have 6 pieces will it work , and when I am making it I will upload the video on my UA-cam channel the name is JustRand0m
It might be too thin. When stacked together it should be thick enough to feel like a broom handle.
Good luck!
@@CardboardCosplay the broom handle is done and I posted the video on my UA-cam channel justrand0m
