Nice video, always fun to watch you guys, some corrections :) 1. You can indeed disable the startup sound on newer macs, think since 2016, and it is the POST that signal it is finished, but yes all Spy Agents or people who want to power up their mac next to a sleeping partner should disable it :) ==== How to silence the Mac startup sound To revert to a silent startup, do the following: Click on the little speaker icon in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen Click Sound preferences... Steve running 12.6.3, that is the latest update for Monterey, it is like having all updates for Windows 10... yes there is a Windows 11 (Ventura) but his mac is pretty good updated
When would you then use the “Update policies for macOS” over this software update found in the config profile? Would they not conflict if both are used?
Is there any difference in doing the macos updates through the settings catalog over the "update poilices for macos" route within the macos devices window - 17:39 Also to add. What is the point of restricting the update policies when Microsoft makes the end user admin anyway?
What is the best way to deploy Configuration Profiles, using the Templates or Settings Catalog, some settings are in both available, like Device Restrictions for MacOS.
Great video. I will actually add this profile to my Mac standard Intune set up checklist. Can you please make a video on how to set up and deploy the plist file for OneDrive to auto sign in and auto backup the desktop and documents folders on the Mac? Microsoft provides a guide but it’s so unintuitive.
Is there a way to give the end users some sort of heads up they're machine is randomly going to reboot? I've been looking at the new Update policies for MacOs but don't want the workstations to reboot without letting the user know.
Hey, a short video, a demo that worked quickly, the macs have an advantage over the Windows systems 😉 I assume this is the video about filtering: S02E04 - Using Intune Filters for Better Targeting and Grouping ua-cam.com/video/_UuMfbvY8hw/v-deo.html I wish I could wipe and retire all the macs in my environment. Unfortunately, a new arrived today and the guy who usually handles them is out sick. Already told my boss: I'm not touching that. No time for macs in my calendar. Struggling enough with getting Win11 out the door where we want to move from HAADJ to AADJ.
you got a strong argument there Joe LOL, would you like to share what does not work? (I use Jamf to manage my macOS so I'm not defending Intune here, just could like to hear more specific reasons)?

I’m pretty sure you can enable and disable the Apple bong in terminal.
next you should configure AzureAD SSO, it`s awesome. Makes life so much more easier working on a mac with MS services.

I install iTunes so I get the USB network driver for hotspot from my iPhone... I haven't found a better way to get it.

If you're reading this, do not use intune for macOS. Under any circumstances. Ever.
