Thank you! Only a small question: is there a specific reason for not mentioning the Paralenz? Do you happen to have any thoughts on this camera (e.g. as an alternative to the GoPro)?
I didn't mention the paralenz and a few others, because I think I prefer the gopro. But, the new paralenz comes out soon, the Vaquita, and although its super expensive its suppose to be sweet. I def want to try it. But the first paralenz... I have a hard time with cameras with no screen
Awesome video. Super useful information. I read your blog post on this too. Awesome stuff. I can second the Canon G7X II. Great camera. Better than my New Sony RX100 Mark 7 (though I didn't use it underwater yet). The G7X Mark IIIs notoriously overheat and wouldn't be good for underwater. Plus, while Sony improved their focusing massively with the RX100 7, Canon somehow made theirs worse with the G7X3. Still though, My G7X 2 is my favorite too so I can agree with this list.

@@CritterHunter Sorry Man didn't get it from Amazon. But, still looking forward to using it in the water. Won't take the place of my dryland cameras, a little too shakey for that even with the stab on...but already have a solid rack and floats so shouldn't be a problem below. I've seen some of your footage and looks pretty legit. better than my gopros anyway, lol.

In my opinion I would have dropped the gopro for olympus TG TRACKER cost is is a lot less and i think my results are just as good & no need 4 a housing
I did mention that on my website. But it's hard to make a list without gopro.
