For Days Gone I keep two active saves running at all times. Save 1 is my progress in the ongoing campaign (beat it about 5 times now), save 2 is the story completed with the open world with nothing but hordes and marauder camps. I play other games sure, but Days Gone consumes probably 75% of my time spent gaming, that's how much I love it. I will always come back to it!

Days Gone was the only reason i grabbed a PS4, and i'd do the same thing with the PS5 if Days 2 was ever to drop. I agree with you, its really the only game i play. Sure if try other games here and there, BUT always come back to Days Gone. With that said, i am concerned what the sequel will look and feel like, if they don't include the main heads from Bend Studios that were instrumental in development.

I modded the fuck out of days gone on pc since i had already 100% it when it came out on ps4 originally, it expanded on what was there and made some quality of life changes and added features that could possibly be there with a sequel…i really hope they make a sequel cause this games has plenty of story left to tell and the possibilities of additions to the world

The unreasonable reviews out of the gate didn't help. GameSpots instantly comes to mind. Game was a slow burner, but I was immersed from beginning to end!

Love Days Gone the evolving story line needs to be expanded in a part 2!!
I wish people had given it more of a chance in the beginning but I think a lot of people came round over the years. I am on my 4th playthrough and trying to achieve all rewards and collectables and there is no end to more things to do. It's one of my favorite infected games and I really want them to expand on it. There are talks of a Netflix or other streaming platform mini series with the original voice actor actually staring in the show and I think I would watch the crap out of that concept. Fingers crossed. Please game gods make it so!!!
yeah, when it came out I didn't really look at it because the idiot reviewers talked it down so much.
When I finally played it, I loved it, and that's compared to Dying Light, State of Decay, DayZ etc.
One of the few games I finished and dip back into once in a while.

I commented on their official insta about 12 months ago saying an open world mmo like dayz and scum would be awesome in the Days Gone universe, I’m hoping that this is it but Days Gone 2 is what we all want.

The concerted attack by the establishment media against such a good game like this tells everything about the 1984-world we are living in. A persons name who revealed the 24/7 surveillance we are under was mentioned in the game. Its kryptonite for those who decide on the narrative that masses must believe in.
Yeah, so I'm pretty sure none of that had anything to do with the mediocre reviews. I'm fairly positive it was the bugs and other issues the game had, and not some weird overseer idea agenda being pushed. It's a game, if what you said was true they would have much higher priorities than review bombing a zombie game. You should probably take your tin foil hat off once in a while, the radiation it's receiving from the mothership is damaging your synapses.

the (weather) environment details are amazing in DG .. i beat the game once every year.

Also, the same actor that played the main character in Days Gone also was in Being Human Series and was the actor used for Star Wars The Force Unleashed games and was Doomsday in Smallville
Unfortunately Playstation shot down the chance of a days gone 2 as they wasn't happen with the reception of the game, sales was quite good but not to what Playstation wanted.
Bend Studio will used what they learned from Days Gone in their next game
Actually the pitch sequel rejection, open world Resistance Fall Of Men, Syphon Filter revival were all denied internally within the management team at Bend Studio as confirmed by the studio president & game director
I enjoyed playing the first one and I’d like to see them make days gone too. It’s a good game. I never had any problems with it.
Where has it been stated that the new IP is set in the Days Gone universe? Being built on DG's open world systems doesn't mean that at all and the confirmation that it's a new IP would lean very, very heavily toward it being , you know, _new_ , when a game set in the Days Gone universe wouldn't be a new IP unless there's a significant genre shift as is the case with DG and Syphon Filter.
Bend Studio only confirned they will built it on their past project systems nothing about being set in the same universe

An absolute gem of a game. Ive played so many games, but this one is quite unique. The first time you encounter a horde its chilling. That lumberyard horde is terrifying. The characters and story are 10/10 writing. The ending blew my mind.
If they do make a second one 1. Make sure not to make a freak bust out of a door making it impossible for us to beat 2. Give us the option to reset enemy camps make it fun for us . 3 give us better weapons such as rpgs , ant aircraft guns and more road side bombs to injure the enemy
I had 30 hours once I returned after 3 years in 2 week i now have 96 and Ive i lost a chunk of my main save so I had to do it all over again

I just finished Days Gone on playstation. Amazing game but wow... those PC graphics in this video are so good. Would love to see a sequel that takes advantage of the PS5 graphics since the original was a PS4 game.

Would be nice if and when in the sequel game if you get bit you turn and then just do a zombie story. Lol since they are advanced, and dominate the world as zombies or dont get bit and complete a story that way as well to save the world

Great game reviews were wrong. You definitely need to play it for a little bit to begin to enjoy it.
I heard they abandoned the sequel:/ sucks because this game is truly a gem. I’m relaying it again right now and it’s truly amazing for what it is. Imo there actually isn’t ANY decent zombie open world game that matches it.

IMHO, Days gone deserves at least a 9.5/10 - Way better than the overhyped Ladt of Us. Story is top notch , gameplay is excellent, and this is one of the very few games i actually replay and have gotten it for PC as well - works like a charm on my ROG Ally 🤩

Just to clarify, the 'new IP' is not part of the Days Gone universe, hence the term 'new IP'. It's an entirely new game.
I played days gone 5 times on playstation and now for the first time modded on pc. So i will absolutely buy days gone 2 if it would come out.

I bought this game on release and I don’t remember any bugs or glitches. Also the critics didn’t really complain about the game mechanics so much as the “generic white male protagonist”. Why are you covering for them? Side note if there is a sequel being can we all agree that sweet baby inc. needs to kept as far away from it as possible?
