That kick to the nose at the end of the first changed the whole fight. Justin being my 2nd favorite active fighter and Max being my 3rd this fight was so bittersweet. Max’s timing and distance also had Justin fucked up. That ending was a fight fans dream. It’s crazy to me that it seems like people don’t know Max done this before. Not in this fashion but calls his opponents to throw down in the final ten seconds.
I really enjoy watching those fighters as well.
I never considered actually ranking the fighters in order of which I had enjoyed watching them most. But now curiosity is killing me. Who's your number one?
No one expected him to withstand Justin and also have power enough to shut down justin, that's what made it even sweeter

That's MMA guys .. Poirier who beat Max twice, nearly put a clinic on him on the feet got slept by Gaethje.. And max put a clinic on Gaethje and slept him .. even before the KO Max was outclassing him the whole fight.. Gaethje barely landed any good shot that effected or hurt Max
Gaethje was given absolutely no choice but to take up max and swing... gaethje had his ranking, reputation and a title fight on the line..he'd CLEARLY lost the fight and max gave him a chance to get it all back.. . Any man alive in that position wouldn swing..

Broken nose and two eyes poked slow him down and bothered him... No excuses ... He is still one of my favorite ....
You can tell this guy just reads other headlines to get his content. He's constantly mispronouncing names and stating incorrect info. A few minutes' worth of fact-checking would correct both issues.
He does it in purpose, hes done it from the beginning, I don't know why but it's kinda his thing. You don't get over 194k subscribers by just reading headlines. He's not the best MMA channel but he's not the worst.
Honestly I thought that the gaethjie holloway fight was not the most entertaining fight Justin has been in, when he took on chandler I thought the fight was better. Still a good fight though. I think what screwed Justin up was the kick to the nose at the end of the first round, he broke his nose and was just off from that point
Max pointing gaethje to the middle of the octagon then flatlining him it doesn't get any better than that

@@MORTIFICER great fight! But Dustin humbled him for sure. I think Jalin Turner would beat Dan 8 out of 10 fights. And he's feeling himself right now cause it was a great win from a dangerous opponent.
Whether Justin knows it or not Max baited him into that KO. Justin was absolutely losing on the cards.
Max knew he had the win so he decided to give Justin one last shot at him. Wasn't bated at all. Max does this alot.. Could have went either way in a wild exchange between the two.

@@shanerodgers6713 that what Max said in post fight interview but Max absolutely wanted that finish he knew Justin couldn’t resist a last second chance. Max had way more Gas in the tank left than Justin. Max knew he could put him out.

Neither of them wrestle. If anything boring it would just be a technical standoff. I still think MVP would land on WB many times.

@@lolly_bread It was really a joke. Yeah, I can see it being very boring, though. Maybe it would feel more boring than it would actually be, based on high expectations from most viewers, but there are more interesting matchups for both of them
@@Vergil_2000 Yeah, that's likely a very good comparison. I think half the reason that turned out so boring is just because of that first big bomb Yoel landed, but it is what it is. Seems like he broke Izzy for good with that shot. He's never taken risks the same way since. Fighting to not lose more than fighting to win, if you know what I mean. He himself said something like, "I'm the champ. Why should I be the one taking the risks?" In the post fight interview

According to Gilbert, Justin had been getting drunk a lot for several months before 300. Said his gf had to more or less carry him out of 299 (at least, iirc it was 299, but maybe 298)

Max has always has a gas tank. Justin has improved but it has never been at Max's level. And Max us faster, always has been.
And it seems like since his loss to Dustin, Max has improved his power output. Knocked out KZ and now Justin.
I don't necessarily think Max has better foot work he's just faster than Justin.

I didn't take speed into account I figured Justin would be too much. But, I'm not always right. Sometimes one slips through the crack.
I was happy for Max I didn't care.

This fight never made a lot of sense to me but it was a fun fight.
