Hey thank you for the video, this is real useful information. AWS Cloud Practitioner, after you get that cert and move on to any associate level cert, the knowledge gap is hugh.
Yup, as I say in the video, practitioner isn’t technical and in my opinion a waste of time. Creating a free tier aws account and building stuff will 10x your learning
hi what do u think of taking the cloud engineer Academy from tech with soleyman. As I am willing to take a path towards cloud engineering. And if you could advise us which bootcamp/course to take we would appreciate it . Thanks for your videos very help full.
Thanks bro appreciate it. My mentor guided me towards cybersecurity and cloud, but i needed to know where to learn the fundamentals so my transition into cloud more smoothly. So this video gives me a good rough draft of how to go about this journey of just breaking into tech.
I want to take the AWS Cloud Practitioner first to better familiarise myself with AWS and then I will have 50% off to take the Solution Architect exam. I started preparing for the Solution Architect first but I found that I have some gaps in my knowledge and it is a lot of material.
I just had a brief look as I have not seen it before. It’s essentially a mini project almost the same as what i told you to do in this video. You don’t need to pay for a guide on how to do that. Many free guides online and youtube tutorials
i currently hold my AWS SAA and Security + certs but i still feel down for applying for a cloud engineer position i have helpdesk/erp system experience but by lookung at job descriptions i lose hope
I totally get this. I too have 4 years experience with helpdesk / cloud support engineer and been looking for a cloud engineer role but the line between devops and cloud engineer has become so blurred, and find myself needing to learn more just to be able to tick the job requirements.
This is a very good video. I have a question. Is it beneficial for an Engineer that's going to be managing Fullstack applications using AWS serverless architecture to learn Terraform?
It depends on your organisation structure and size of the company. They can create more silos or less depending on these points. Realistically larger org you probably have DevOps/Cloud Engineers implementing server(less) architecture to host the devs apps.
Appreciate this I know absolutely nothing about navigating the whole cloud landscape. I was feeling really overwhelmed. Cheers for doing this video
You’re welcome!
Thanks for the video it is quite educative, i will suggest may be you do projects on AWS it will help learners.
Exactly what I needed! Appreciate it 👍

Glad I could help!
Agree with everything you said..I might add learning a programming language I.e. c# , python or JavaScript definitely wouldn’t hurt.great video.
Absolutely, I didn’t make that clear but it falls under my virtualisation point. E.g understanding Bash for Linux.
Bash or Python + AWS = good match
Where is the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate video at?
Great job Toby.
Thank you
Just migrated to the UK. I have worked as a senior software developer before migrating. I have been trying to get a job but failing at that

You need more self belief. You have the same experience as i did before i switched to my first cloud engineer role
@@techtoby_I do agree sometimes it just seems so farfetch but thanks for the reply
