Hi can I ask you you made buttercream cake and put fondant as the cake topper is it ok to put fondant on buttercream I’m somewhat confused I was told the fondant disintegrated is that what happens is there another way I can do this I am a totally beginner. Thank you in advance

Sorry didn't see your comment earlier! You are right, there is always the possibility of the fondant softening from the moisture of the buttercream and humidity of the fridge. Ideally you would place the topper on right before serving, but that's not always possible. I let the fondant toppers dry for at least 3 days (uncovered at room temperature), then place them on the cake the night before and store in the fridge. Hope that helps!
