This is a Minecraft build tutorial on how to build the simplest Minecraft 1.20 Villager Breeder Farm! This only requires a few materials and can save you hours in time collecting villagers for iron farms, and villager trade halls.

Just in case anyone runs into the same issue I did, I was getting angry particles because I put a roof over my beds, and that roof was too low. Raising it another block so that my player could stand on the beds was enough to make them start breeding.

That wasn’t my issue but I have a question my mine cart doesn’t go onto the rail when I press the button it shoots out like an item

Everything works out except the transportation method doesn’t work. Ive tried putting a block over the villagers so they stop jumping. But although i did that, the minecart still seems to be passing through without picking up the villager. Love your vids❤
I’m having the same problem, not sure why it’s not picking up the villagers as it passes through. Playing bedrock, latest version.

I was just using this video for the pickup/transport system because I had build a house and drop system already that moved the babies away from the house underground. I found a different video that I incorporated the end portion of this and the other video, works perfectly! Setting the dispenser up next to the glass where the villagers are pushed into the corner by the water works perfectly. I had to put some blocks overhead because they were jumping and weren’t getting into the cart, but once I stopped the jumping they went right into the cart!
Im having a problem on bedrock which is the villager growing up then drowning because he doesn't want to swim up, any tips?
I have the same one so maybe make a soul sand water lift

I built this, but when the villagers start breeding after a bit they produce angry particles and don't make a baby villager. Why is this happening?

They keep dying when they grow up from drowning and one of the babies got into the cell with the grown ones how do i stop them from drowning

Use a boat to get villagers to the farm, it is by far the easiest way. Either bring a lead and put 2 villagers in one boat or you can be in the boat with 1 villager. Once you need to get them up hill a lead is the easiest way.
putting a lead on a boat works only on bedrock not on java

if you are on bedrock and they have breeded some, then they will stop breeding bc they hit the population cap

Does this have to be 150 blocks from a village? I heard it won’t work if it isn’t
it just is less effective since villagers in the village can start breeding causing the farm to not breed

I just built this and for some reason the villagers arn't being pulled up where the two signs are instead they are dying due to suffocation, I had one come up only because there were 2 behind him pushing him up

Works awesome, although I did have to change the villager transport system for some reason it wasn’t picking them up at all when pressing the button because they keep jumping up and down. Maybe it was something on my end but nonetheless awesome quick build.

this farm works if you break the beds and place them down again after you get the villagers
It should, as long as aren’t linked to any other beds, hence why you have to put them a certain amount of distance away from villages and bases.

If they are then make sure the water that makes them swim up are all water source blocks

Hey works fine but the baby villagers aren’t going to their bed they stay with the parent I have to push them every time I don’t know what’s wrong..
why my baby villager don't jump to the trapdoor and ended up growing in the farm??
on bedrock no mater how far you take the water for the villiagers they will only have 2 babies to get around this stack beds on top and fixes the problem and with them not going up the water evelvator just mine the block out in a stair shape and when the grow up they will move also you can only have it two high or they will drown

if one of the villagers isn't a farmer, they won't harvest crops, which I don't think will let them breed.

So ive just transported some more villagers to build an iron farm im about 250 blocks away from a village and 3 of the babies have just died is there a cap on how many villagers you can have otherwise a brilliant farm worked straight away and also bred 4 within 10 minutes

Yeah, spiders and phantoms don’t attack villagers so they will be safe!

you can place a block onto the composter, I used glowstone because it's a light source too

I saw a lot of people were having some issues with villagers suffocating, it's because the adults are not able to swim up due to there being baby villagers in front of them blocking the way. Try making the block behind the opening a top slab so that they have breathing room incase this happens. It isn't a perfect fix, they still get stuck, but at the very least they won't keep dying. Also a quick tip, you can make the room with the beds bigger if you want a larger pool of villagers. Shouldn't affect rates, it just increases capacity. Also, place down torches.

I’m trying to build an iron farm and the last step I need is to collect some villagers. Is there a specific distance this villager breeder has to be from my iron farm? I tried another farm and my villagers would always de spawn after sleeping through the night and I’m not sure why that was. If you have any insight I would appreciate it
The iron farm shouldn’t be a problem, the reason it needs to be away from villages is so that other villagers outside the farm don’t try to breed ruining the rate the one subside the farm do

so i built the breeder and it was working fine and then recently it just stopped working the villager picks up a bunch of wheat and then walks ove to the other and nothing happens its been like that for several in Minecraft days is it because im using wheat? fyi im on java
