Alternate universe? Theres been 7 different versions of batman so far why cant there just be another new batman or joker with willem dafoe as joker? Doesn't need to be an alternative universe
What a powerful medium of expression sculpting in the third dimension can be, making the unreal into something you can run your fingers over and marvel at a grasp. Very impressive artform.
That's an amazing model (sculpture)... I'll bet I'm not the first person to say this, but, Willem Dafoe is one of the handful of people on the planet that doesn't need any makeup to look like the joker. That may even be why they didn't let us see his face while he portrayed the goblin. Because as soon as he would give us that evil smile, we'd be thinking they SHOULD HAVE made him the joker instead of the Green Goblin the marvel universe. It'd be too hard not to notice.
But he was so goood as the Goblin and the only reason I watched that spider-man. And he would kick a$$ as the Joker. Way better then that last joke of a film (Glad I only paid $5 for it and that was over priced). And I agree with Merfishsandwhich Jack to me is still the best one yet followed by Ledger. Would have liked Leto to have had more time and see where he could have took it rather then having like 5 mins in the whole movie. Here's to hoping we get a Dafoe Joker!
What an incredible artist! Not only in the execution. But in the idea. That’s what great art does. It makes you think. Look how many ppl are commenting on how great it would be if he played the joker. This piece inspired thought. Brought out excitement in ppl looking at it. That’s what a great artist does. 10 out of 10! Great job!
@GhostNappa He's literally only sixty-seven years old, and still does the majority of the stunts himself (which is something not many actors can say, even ones in their thirties)
@GhostNappa Oh, you're the type who thinks he's only played Green Goblin in his career. That explains alot (and for the record, he's played over 150 characters; I think the man knows a thing or two about acting)
Because you added total time, watching this is a good teaching moment for a child. It's simple but it helps break the illusion that this will take a day or whatever. 300 hours is about an hour a day for 10 months straight! Awesome work as well. 👍
I'm sure you're tired of hearing this, but this is incredible. Also, thank you for listing the hours it took and not pretending it fell out of your ass. Even an expert sculptor needs time to make a masterpiece.
Wow. I am stunned at your skill. I don't even want to say talent, because I feel that takes away from the thousands of hours you've obviously put in your craft. This is just absolutely amazing skill, I'm floored
Thanks for showing your talent and approach. It is amazing the level of detail you achieve, even in the texturing of clothe's textiles. I find also interesting to learn it took 300 hours despite your talent and experience, because it gives an indication of the hard work needed and it also help novices to set a reasonable level of expectation ( meaning we should not expect to do a piece of art like this in just 8-10 hours of work)
Wow--William Dafoe as the Joker is the absolute definition of something I never knew I wanted/needed until I saw your work. This is absolutely immaculate.
Such a joy to see you at it. This, to me, was the making of a real Hollywood Joker. Willem fits perfectly for the roll. Far better than a Green Goblin, imo. Great sculpture! Cheers & Happy New Year!
That was simply perfect, you truly are a talented person. I´d love to see Willem Dafoe as the Joker, I think he was born to play the role... and I don´t know why producers haven´t casted him jet. The bust made me chills and scared me the hell out

Just a reminder of how when I was a kid in school and only wanted to doodle. They frowned on it because we are taught THEIR principles of success. Some don’t listen and become ARTISTS. Imagine what the world would look like without art…. The most amazing sculptures or paintings like the Sistine Chapel would never have been produced. Long live art and long live freedom of expression.
His role as the green goblin really shows his capabilities as the joker. The insanity, the smile, the laugh, pretty athletic for some crazy moves aswell. Just perfect.

This is utterly stunning; such a beautiful, _beautiful_ sculpture! The way you accomplish texture is genius and so efficient; just dabbing brushes and layering surfaces that leave the perfect imprint adds SO much. If I were to only see the finished product, I would marvel at the infinitesimally small details, and fail to imagine how an artist could achieve them. Seeing you do it is inspiring, and educating! You've got such a mastery over form and texture and human expression. If this were any character I'd be stunned, but the fact that's it The Joker, one of my all time faves, and a BETTER Joker then we've gotten in any movie... Truly the comics brought to life! I was sweating bullets when you finished the sculpture work, thinking "How are you gonna paint this? One slip and this gorgeous thing is gone..." Then you made the mould, and I was like YES! You can make as many of these as you want, and paint them as you please! Every second of this was awesome, thank you for sharing your artistry, and sharing this high definition masterpiece!
In competent hands yes, but currently WB doesn't know what they have been doing for at least 10 years now. I fear they will waste DaFoe's time like they did with Michael Keaton.

With all the multiverse stuff, wouldn't mind seeing M.Keaton as the Joker.
I already realised.. But I know he won't be a joker because he's already a green goblin and too old
Because you’re slow
@@balls433 now, that's not very nice. But at least I'm not ugly
I thought it was amazing when I saw you make a character. Because it takes patience, passion, and effort to create a work like this, and you made it while satisfying all three of them.
I am just a random person scrolling through my feed who doesn’t care about Batman or sculpting and I am absolutely blown away by this level of craftsmanship. Standing ovation to you!!!
The amount of thought, work, and craftsmanship put into making this and the quality of the result of it all.. I am mind-blown. Amazing!
This is the coolest thing I've seen in the past 24 hrs.
absolutely gorgeous. i lost track of all the things i wanted to comment on, in both your sculpting and painting! the details, the textures... truly fantastic work. it was a delight to watch it come to life!
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear it
This is simply stunning. Sculpting and painting are two completely different artistic abilities. That you're able to do both so well is incredible.
A cameo like this for an alternate universe would be god tier
Alternate universe? Theres been 7 different versions of batman so far why cant there just be another new batman or joker with willem dafoe as joker? Doesn't need to be an alternative universe
@@boofman0486 maybe because we're in the middle of a trilogy and dafoe is only getting older
@@niconiconick True. Plus, we haven't seen a live action film where The Batman and Joker have been arch enemies for a while.
Nicholson was a natural joker as well.
The detail put into this is simply incredible. Not only that but it looks exactly like him. A true master at the craft
I have no words. I’m just in awe. You are insanely talented and a master at your craft.
I second that!
@@TurboPepsiI third that. Wait, what are we talking about again? 😂
what a pair of magical hands you have, so much realistic, hats off to your talent and dedication. exceptionally beautiful. keep it up.
Great job!
Ppl talking about this inspired the artist I am pretty sure!.. Dafoe playing Joker has been talked about for years.
@@ryanwilliams7987 that could be the case. I don’t keep up with that stuff 😂. But the artist did an incredible job regardless 😁
Not only something that I've been wanting to see for years, but also done by an extremely talented and skilled person. Bravo!
I hope they make a movie as him as the joker... this world would go INSANE if he played the role
Sensational. I could tell it was Defoe just from the thumbnail. I could not take my eyes off this video. Utterly brilliant.
If this isn't the definition of being an artist I don't know what is. Absolutely amazing.
Because you added total time, watching this is a good teaching moment for a child. It's simple but it helps break the illusion that this will take a day or whatever. 300 hours is about an hour a day for 10 months straight!
Awesome work as well. 👍
This is one of the best sculptures I've seen on UA-cam. You can tell there was so much care and passion put into every detail. Absolutely incredible!
@@TheDogGoesWoof69 If you think it looks easy, I'd like to see a video of you making a sculpture of this level of detail. Go ahead.
@@TheDogGoesWoof69 Wow an excuse, totally didn't see that coming
When someone has that kind of skill it feels like magic..10/10 for the craft...Art is in the eye of the beholder.
Your sculpting are just so amazing. I found you after watching you sculpting Arthur Morgan on a horse🤠
This is, without an ounce of a doubt, THE best thing I've seen today.
Well done man, well done.
Honestly the best Joker we've never gotten.
Such a joy to see you at it. This, to me, was the making of a real Hollywood Joker. Willem fits perfectly for the roll. Far better than a Green Goblin, imo. Great sculpture! Cheers & Happy New Year!
Always so impressed by how talented people are, this is beautiful
This is beyond talent, this is pure brilliance 👏
So good to see your work. You are incredibly skilled and I hope that you continue to do what you love.
Doesnt everyone 🙄
That was simply perfect, you truly are a talented person. I´d love to see Willem Dafoe as the Joker, I think he was born to play the role... and I don´t know why producers haven´t casted him jet. The bust made me chills and scared me the hell out
Good lord... I didn't know how much I needed this, but I really did. Excellent!
Amazing.
Now make yourself as joker Bobby with wood XD
Thank you Bobby!
I was just about to comment "I waont thayat" on this video.
How has this not happened yet? He's so suited for the role and he has the chops to bring something unique to the role.
Because Sony’s portrayal of Goblin was essentially the same thing. “We’ve seen it”- perhaps.
The amount of detail in this is absolutely insane. Amazing!
I’m a Quarter of the way through and I am speechless. Your work sir is what should be celebrated here. It’s unbelievable the way you just created a human being out of clay.
You're very talented. I'll usually skip through videos like this but this one had me. Incredible work.
5:54 I find it pretty fitting that we see the bust being drowned and later brought out of the liquid just as joker was
Also this is was such a blast to watch, honestly I haven’t just sat through an entire video like this in awhile but this truly kept my attention
You don't get this good at what you do without having passion for your craft. This is *amazing* work.
That's really amazing, making Defoe not to look like the Green Goblin is one mean feat by itself.
And he nailed it, even in its already scary baseform!
This is awesome af. You really captured his presence as the joker. I love those little nerves on the forehead
The amount of work you put into your pieces is incredible, I’m always left speechless at the final step. Watching you work is a pleasure, and I’m in awe at your dedication and skill
It's always a pleasure to see an artist at work. Thank you.
You are an amazing artist and you inspire me. Please don't deprive us of your work. Thank you for posting more videos on the channel.
Wasn't expecting this amazing piece of art wow👏👏👏
The role was practically made for him.
I'm seriously envious of your skills.
Just amazing.
If this is not enough of a "proof of concept" for DC I don't know what will! Great artwork! Happy New Year!
In competent hands yes, but currently WB doesn't know what they have been doing for at least 10 years now. I fear they will waste DaFoe's time like they did with Michael Keaton.
@@dix0n778 sad reality really, such a shame.
They don’t seem to like money as we’ve seen with the Henry Cavill situation
@@joelcollinson3915 It's about sending a message I suppose? ok I'll see myself out.
As soon as you started delineating the teeth, there was Willem in all his maniacal gloery.. brilliant!
What does it feel like to be so gifted? You made a 3D model from 2D photos.... that's phenomenal. Mesmerizing 🙏
The cool thing is, now there is a perfectly reusable casting form. And with this thing finished, you could scan it in 3D to have a perfect model for a game or CGI in a movie.
what talent. Awesome. Yes Mr. Defoe can play that role. He is a good actor. I have watched him in so many movies.
