    Not only did your mom knit you a sweater( basically twice, due to fit issues) she did it with the dog on her lap at the same time!!! That’s just so inspiring, I want to be like her when and if I grow up.

    Oh man, your mom is a saint! I am a knitter too and frogging a sweater is painful for me. She did a fantastic job

    Knitting always goes better with a pet in your lap!

    Reinforce the inside shoulder of your sweater with a length of silk or rayon grosgrain ribbon. It will help maintain the shoulder shape and distribute the weight of the material evenly.

    Your mother is lovely. This is definitely the IT sweater amongst the community. It is so pretty in blue. Thus far, I have only seen them in creams and whites. Now, we need to give you some good natured needling. Do you mean to tell us that you don't knit?! Surely, then you crochet or at least tat? Embroider? You embroider -- yes? Seriously though, I'm glad you addressed the question of the sleeve falling and the buttons falling open. This is a lovely sweater, and we won't pick on you . Give your mother all of our love. Stay well.

    Hello, Adelaide. Your videos are so relaxing for me to watch. I enjoy them so much. All hell broke loose in my country now, and it's some form of escapism for me to watch your videos. I'm thinking about going back to my long-forsaken hobby of sewing and knitting again.

    Although it’s an old pattern the sweater looks modern. Your mum did such a great job. That she made it for you makes it extra special I think. Maybe you could it even wear as a contemporary sweater on a jeans or a winter skirt. Two eras brought together 😊

    In my Delineator magazines from that time period, patterns for crinoline shoulder poofs to be worn under the tops of the full sleeves are advertised. Maybe such undersupport was also worn under sweaters with similar full sleeves.

    I was planning to do this sweater, so do you think i can just skip the shoulder buttons and it would pass trought my head just fine?

    • @AdelaideBeemanWhite
      @AdelaideBeemanWhite  2 роки тому

      I think you can. I found the buttons to be entirely unnecessary and actually a little bit inconvenient. They kept unbuttoning themselves.
