- I knitted another Victorian Cycling Sweater, but I eliminated hopefully the flaws of the first one I made.
This time it is a bright green one and since I was inspired by Aran Sweaters, I added some cables.
It took me approximately 10 months to finish this project, but I don't want to bore you, so it's a short video just showing the vibe of the project.

Maybe you can use a ribbon in the inside by sewing it to the top of sleeve seam to the neck opening or two long ribbons from shoulder to shoulder In front and back to keep it sleeves from pulling down or instead of ribbon use yarn. I hope this makes sense.
The idea to go from one shoulder to the other is great. Only using tape from the neck to the shoulder didn't work so far. I will try that and see if I can make this work.
Thank you!
@@ankanyofficial I hope it helps. Great you understood what I was thinking.☺️
Reopening the knitting multiple times must be super frustrating. Glad the you persisted through
It was... And still, I think it was worth it. :)
What I Found to work on my second edition of my cycling sweater is to make the armhole quite tight, and the shoulders sit a lot better on my now. I do love the idea of a cabled cycling sweater! Really cool! And the cable placement is really reminiscent of the Edwardian era.
I just watched your video and the sweater looks wonderful!
I think I might reopen the armholes and make them smaller, as you suggested.
@@ankanyofficial and now for hoping they don't stretch out over time 😅
@@MijnWolden Maybe adding additional tape will help, too. 🤔🤷🏼♀️
What a beautiful colour that yarn is! 😻
Ah yes, a fellow member of team "bust wider than back." It's so hard to find or make anything that fits.
This sweater is SO cute. The colours are beautiful, and the cables with the variegated yarn on the sleeve cuffs look like dragon scales.
Absolutely, but I still have hopes to find a way to make clothes fit me, even if I have to redo my attempts more than once.
Thank you! I thought of dragon scales, too. :D
This is beautiful.
Thank you!
I adore 🥰 this version of the sweater ❤. Now, I simply must make some version for myself. I’ve envied it far too long!
:D This is how it started for me, too.
This was fascinating, thank you. I didn't realize you could do darts in knitting - I only learned the basic stitch and I found the unravelling a little too heartbreaking.
That sweater is absolutely stunning. Well done.

Thank you!
Unraveling is really frustrating, but I learned, that I'm in hindsight always glad I did it.
And the dart was the first I knitted. I always thought it should be possible, but I made it way too complicated in my mind until I actually knitted it.
This is really pretty
Thank you! :D
Danke für den Untertitel
Gern geschehen!
A lot of work but it’s beautiful!
It was indeed.
Thank you!
This is incredible, your work is beautiful. I would try tape in the shoulders to stop them stretching and drooping.
Thank you!
I'm looking for some suiting tape right now to try taping them in. I'm curious if that will work out, as I hope it will.
Your sweater is beautiful. If your interested in how to get your sleeves puffed out more google victorian sleeve supports it might give you some ideas.
Oh, I wanted to do that, but completely forgot about it since I didn't wear it in summer. Thanks for the reminder!
