i think having a UV light always handy in your EDC flashlight is a killer feature. its good when you are going to hotels, its good if you want to charge your Transition Lenses, its good if you want to use UV glue but don't want to spend 250$ on a UV gun, its good if you are looking for coolant leaks on any car, etc... basically, i find that the E8 with the UV sidelight is probably the best EDC Flashlight setup, i just wish someone made a brighter larger EDC flashlight with the same features that does not cost a fortune or weigh more than my laptop lol. i'm currently rocking the Nitecore TINI2 on my keychain, i have IMALENT LD70 in my backpack and i also carry an little additional UV Flashlight - it seems to me that the 700LM version of the E8 can replace my TINI2 + my little UV flashlight into a small little keychain flashlight package.
Great review ! I have the e8 Love it , the ui takes a while to figure out. I like the dual fuel aspect, the size and weight, not even noticeable in my pockets
I’m a fan, I’ve watched most of your videos, and you’ve inspired me to create my own Dragonox. I already have the Dragonfly 2 and an old 84mm Victorinox Sportsman. My problem is figuring out which knife to purchase in order to get the scissor spring I see you modifying to fit the Dragonfly blade. Can I just buy any 84mm knife (Alox or regular) that has scissors? Do I need one from a layer without a rear tool? Is there another spring I could use? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us in all these videos!
Hey! Glad to hear that. So, with the 84mm SAK you do not need the scissor spring. You can modify the spring from the knife as long as it does not have the corkscrew on the back. You will need a couple of brass spacer to place opposite to the Dragonfly though. Hope that helps.
I’ve had mine about 2 weeks and like it a lot, maybe best edc ever BUT I have found it on by accident 3 times now. I keep it hanging from a belt clip and somehow the buttons are getting pushed. I know it has lock out but i don’t want the inconvenience of that every time. Not sure what to think
Interesting. Yeah, sounds like the lock out is the only option then... I agree that the lockout can be annoying to mess with, but it's better than having a dead flashlight. 😋
Great review! If you set the light to use the lithium cell first, will it always default to this setting when turning it on? And I assume it automatically switches to the AAA when the cell is empty?
Thank you! Yes. It does remember your power source selection and yes, it automatically switches between them when one is depleted. It's a very easy and intelligent system.
I don’t like the glow in the dark feature. It’s a perfect light other than that. Im a police officer that works graves. I don’t want a big glowing light giving me away.

Very good point about the UV light.
Amazing how bright such a small flashlight can shine. I do like the two battery system.
Yes, it is really impressive. I think the hybrid system is brilliant.
I call him Krillin

I like those flashlights. Look nice, convenient size ☺️and a great review as always 🤩
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Thank you
You are welcome.
Best RovyVon review.
Thank you!
Nice photon generators you have there.
🤣🤣🤣 Thanks.
The glow in the dark feature makes it an excellent night light.
Absolutely. 👍🏻👍🏻
I love that it’s hybrid because I always neglect to charge my flashlight especially when it’s with my car keys.
It is super convenient.
Great review for great lights!
I'm pretty flashlight saturated at the moment, otherwise I'd pick one for sure
Thank you! "Flashlight saturated" 🤣🤣 I love the way you worded that. 👍🏻👍🏻

Trustfire Mini X is better
@@CountBifford I'll have to try that one out. 👍🏻
E8 is much better 🌞
👍🏻😅
The clear plastic is prone to cracking. It would be better if it was metal.

I get what you mean. If you don't want to be spotted this might be a bad idea.
Perfect light? Yeah for my keyring but not for a police officer! 🤦🏼♂️
@@TheMuddatrucker I wear it on my shirt, I use it on grave shift to write tickets.
