I thought from the intro that you had to actually *draw* 100 cards, like you needed a way to shuffle some back in to get to that number. Made me wonder how y'all would do it, and then I saw Seth's Valakut Awakening and I thought that was so smart! Oh well. Next time try that! It'd be even funnier! :)

Aminatou's Augury would let Phil cast any of those cards UNTIL END OF TURN! That hurt so bad when he passed after Sheoldred was bounced. >.< He plays that spell so much... He should have known. 😭
Aminatou's Augury can only cast one card of each card type. Mnemonic Deluge is a sorcery, and so is the Windfall he cast (and every other nonland Augury exiled). He had to cast the windfall to get people to remove the Sheoldred, so after that happened he wasn't able to cast the deluge.
If we want to get real technical. Phil didn't meet the condition. He only drew 89 cards. He needed to shuffle some cards back into his deck to redraw and get to 100.
I had the means to shuffle back in hand, but we made the rules to work with "drawing off an empty library counts" in case someone gets their cards exiled or something. I didn't want to wheel the table into interaction

I'm looking forward to all the Feldon's Cane effects they'll be running since they have to "Draw 100 cards" not "Draw your whole deck" I'm seeing alot of ramp early depleting those libraries.
Is it draw 100 or draw your deck? Because I definitely would have used some shuffle target players graveyard into their library stuff. Wheel of Sun and Moon for instance.
1:40 Definitely the wrong land pulled up there, but I'll admit, the Elegant Parlor Seth played does look very much Black instead of Red. 23:40 Vampires will enter before the draws as the death trigger goes on the stack on top of Shadowheart's ability.
Rules interaction correction for Tomer: Burgeoning requires the land to be played, so anything that puts a land into play, won't actually trigger it. 30:30
@@Niuttuc Yeah, true, I guess I didn't see drawing the same as milling. (technically it's not.) Either way, they definitely didn't say that you don't actually have to draw 100 cards. lol
Seth and Tomer spent the better part of a decade racing to draw the most cards, and here comes this youngin' who doubles your card draw attempt in less than an hour! You gotta step out up!
Could there be an "all Gass no brakes" week where there are no mass board wipes/mass bounces? Only 1 for 1 removal. Phil may auto win but still may be cool haha
This makes me think of my "Jace Tribal" deck, which has the goal of winning via Thoracle, Jace Wielder of Mysteries, or Lab Man, and does it by pure draw (no remove deck with Thoracle on stack shenanigans). My favorite endgame is Windfall with ~50 cards in hand while I've got Alhammaret's Archive, Teferi's Ageless Insight, Thought Reflection, and Mirror Made-Copying Thought Reflection to draw 800 cards. (please forgive nay misspellings or misremembering of card names, I don't have time to look them up for a quick UA-cam comment)
How did Phil win? He only drew 88 cards and then milled out? Wouldn't he actually have to shuffle his graveyard into his library to draw 12 more cards?
I was actually sad no hundred cards needed to be drawn. I thought we’d see elixir of immortality, endurance out of the green deck, wheel of sun and moon but alas
I had a dream that you all played a table wide legend rule game. There's no way of getting rid of it but if one person plays a legend then the next plays the same one the person playing chooses which one stays. You have to have a majority of legendaries including lands.
That's actually the way the legendary rule used to work that only one copy of a legendary creature could be on the battlefield no matter who was playing them
I saw Soul Warden and thought he would have a Marina Vendrell's Grimoire. But then saw he wasn't running blue. It would have been so good in this weeks game. Let's see if anyone has it. At worst, it's draw 5 for 6 mana.
Maybe im just old but i cannot stand people claiming they arent the threat. you are there to win the damn game, everyone is a threat. Maybe the attacking player has something in hand to deal with the "real" threat at the table. It just sounds amazingly whiny every single damn time. And yes, someone else can be the threat the whole game, you take your turn, and suddenly you are the threat.

Tomer actually knew that because he read it when he played the card but richard fakes him out by telling him he had to discard.

Draw 100 Cards
Richard: im gaining life
Respect to Richard for going hard mode this week by playing Orzhov
The draw meta is stacked with Seth, Tomer, and Phil this week. Richard got his work cut out for him
He only needs 100 spirited companions
If there was ever an episode for Consecrated Sphinx to make an appearance this is it.
Crim would’ve brought Notion Thief and it would’ve been so meta and in character for him.
I was gonna say this lol, also probably would’ve ran sheo and scrawling crawler , maybe even fit in red for needle head

There's also another old card nobody plays which essentially does the same: Plagiarize.
