Just discovered your channel and have subscribed. LTK is in my top three of the Bonds along with OHMSS and Casino Royale. I find myself agreeing with all your opinions and views. I too think Dalton brought the literary Bond to the screen, such a shame he only got two movies.
The critics of happy Felix in hospital forget that he would have a *morphine* I.V. in his arm, so Felix was _feeling no pain_ in the dream reality provided by the drug. He would not have been smiling without lots of morphine. Felix was pretty happy at his own wedding, so the writers must never have gotten married - I found it very depressing being at my own wedding, signing away a part of my body which has a mind of its own. I have no control over where the thing might stray, so I consider any marriage contract without proper signatures written by both myself and my penis dipped in ink - to be null & void, made under false pretenses. My wife didn't smooch the best man on the lips all day however - Felix was very open minded about her kissing Bond repeatedly on her wedding day.
It’s funny, Joe Darlington from Being James Bond put this as his worst Bond movie, I don’t know what the hell he’s talking about! Licence to kill is arguably one of the best Bond movies, it’s memorable, has a great villain, a self reliant female co-Star and quite possibly the most energetic, pulse pounding music from Michael Kamen.
Crawfordclarkcloseup...Re the hairstyle, about which you give ground to the Dalton haters: I think there's a point to it: it's near enough the same as Sanchez's own. Bond is intending to infiltrate S's lair, and using imitation is a well-known ploy to gain the confidence of the person you are trying to impress/convince, so it's a good psychological tactic here. (British readers may remember an instance some years ago of a TV investigative journalist who used this method to infiltrate a criminal gang.) Later, when it's no longer needed, he can revert to his own, much better, style.

Re the Wayne Newton character, even such a sombre Shakespeare tragedy as Macbeth still has its comic porter. I enjoyed your video and find it interesting that you go against some commonly held views.
James Bond did for Felix we all wish somebody would do for us he killed the man who killed his wife and crippled him. What is he suppose to do mope around. With Sanchez dead majority of his grief died and now he can move on. So yes he would seem happier and excited to see Bond.
I think I prefer the traditional James Bond, where he gets orders from M in the beginning and carries out the mission. There seemed like kind of a gap between when Bond left M to when he met up with another person from MI6, which made it feel not very Bond movie like for a while. I would say probably as gritty a death was had by Dario, blood and pieces of him coming out the bottom of the grinder. Other than Dalton's portrayal of Bond and the gruesome villain deaths most of what was in the movie could have been in a Moore era movie. But why were the extras in the background pointing fire extinguisher nozzles at a fire but nothing was coming out of the nozzles? The only part of P.A.S.S. they were doing was aim.🤣 How come the air brake system on the semi tractor -trailer combo worked backwards? If the air line to the trailer was cut the trailer brakes would be engaged fully as they need air pressure to disengage (it's a safety design). When did Bond learn to be a stunt driver of Kenworth trucks? Wasn't Bond yelling at his Bond girl (after she asked a stupid question) to "Switch the bloody machine off!" reminiscent of Moore's Bond yelling at Goodnight to "Just push every damn button , will you?", sort of? Maybe not 😁 I didn't like the title song by Gladys Knight as much as you but Patti LaBelle's "If You Asked Me To" was quite nice. It's easy to imagine yourself watching the end credits scroll and you gather your empty popcorn bucket and other things to head to the theater exit to this song.
I must say I am no fan of Dalton as Bond. For me the problem with the Dalton Bond movies is..... Dalton. Although he had/has a lot of charisma, it's not the 'Bond charisma' in my opinion. Not for a single moment during both his Bond outings I've had the feeling that I was watching a Bond movie. This is especially the case with Licence to Kill. Ofcourse the transition from the Moore Bond (almost a parodie) to the Dalton Bond (very serious and hardly any humour from Dalton himself) at that moment in time, didn't help, but for me both the person of Dalton and his acting did not do it for me, I'm afraid. Whilst Sean, Roger, Pierce and Daniel felt and, more importantly 'showed' comfortable in their (very different) portrayals of Bond, with Dalton I had the feeling that he was constantly 'trying' to portray Bond; he was acting the role. For me it hindered the full 'escapism-effect' most of us Bond viewers are craving for, I reckon, because I could not for one moment feel that Dalton 'was' James Bond. In my view, het acted James Bond but never actually 'was' James Bond.
i read flemings and other bondbooks, what dalton and craig says it more like the books are totaly wrong, the one who did bond as in the books was connery, then who come closest after that is lazenby, dalton and craig are angyr, gritty, dalton had some style and charm, that craig never had, craig is like an rogue jason bourne, who dont give a dame about no one.

Dalton is my favorite bond, and LTK is easily in the top five of all the bond movies, thank you Timothy Dalton for two of the best bond movies ever.
Dalton was by far the best version of Commander James Bond!
I never really liked Dalton or his movie's as a kid. But now I'm older I think he is one of the best and his films are in the top ten.

I hadn't considered this - that's a very good shout!

I’m not really a big fan of dalton’s version of bond, in my opinion. (No offense)
I think Joe Butcher's pagan centre has aged very well in today's world of meditation and crystal nonsense
