    Hey buddy. Good to hear from you. Im still rockn the felt AR. Has been a year and lots of miles and still haven't adjusted much on it. Just works. BTW, felt just released new VRs and FRs. No one is talking about them on you tube. Hint hint

      Hey man, good to hear from you too! Glad to hear the AR is still going strong for you and that you haven't needed to adjust it much. Yeah I heard about the new bikes from Felt. They look really cool, and I agree, I'd love to have the chance to check them out. I too wonder why they haven't gotten much attention on YT. Their whole lineup seems very nice.

      @@hikerbikeromar super high quality. Only thing i can think is, the mystery is part of their persona. Felt sponsored athletes have been racking up win after win. Maybe thats all the publicity they need? Anyway, just gave my brother my Damone, so im in the market for an endurance bike 🤔

      @@universe-juice very possible! Yeah I’ve noticed how their riders are stacking tons of wins these days. That’s good, I want their bikes to get more publicity.
      Haha lots of choices for endurance bikes for sure! That new Canyon Endurace is catching my eye lately, though I’ve never tried it.

    nice looking bike, but does that 58 feel like a "dog" of a frame i wonder? that's gotta be kinda heavy no?

    • @hikerbikeromar
      @hikerbikeromar  28 днів тому +1

      Suprisingly, no. I too thought it might feel that way, but on the contrary, it felt extremely snappy, almost like a lightweight climbing bike.

    Noticed the Roadmachine 01 Four is on sale for a similar price. Would you suggest that or the Roadmachine Three given similar price point?

    • @hikerbikeromar
      @hikerbikeromar  3 місяці тому +1

      Oh wow, just noticed that too! That's a really awesome deal. I would absolutely go for the Roadmachine 01 Four instead. It's going to be a better carbon, a better wheelset, and an integrated cockpit. Between the two for almost the same price, I'd say the 01 Four is a no brainer. You may even be able to negotiate a bit more off as well. Thanks for sharing!

    what if any bike components are not made overseas? that frame is made in taiwan too. even the more premium 01 ONE frame is made overseas in Taiwan.

    Do you know what your measurement is from center of bottom bracket to the center of saddle rails (to the top of saddle is a little more difficult to get an accurate measurement on)?

    • @hikerbikeromar

      For me it’s at 81 cm.

    • @hikerbikeromar
      @hikerbikeromar  3 місяці тому +1

      @@ryanhulsey3460 Ah sorry, thanks for clarifying! Not to the saddle rails, that measurement is from the center of the bottom bracket to the the very top of the saddle (where the body makes the actual contact with it). I don't have the bike anymore, so I can't measure to the rails, but I imagine it would be around 79cm.

    i think they're maybe too heavy for such a premium bike and for the asking price; kind of unfortunate. even when going with the 01 ONE equipped with sram red axs.. how to shave off some weight on this i wonder. a size 54 01 ONE with just assioma pedals and a 2 super light supa caz bottle cages and an outfront mount and a rear light, the stock 2023 01 ONE is just shy of 8kg. about 17.5lbs. hmmm. marketing the roadmachine as a do it all, but probably not ideal for race or climbing; not sure.

  • @ryanhulsey3460
    @ryanhulsey3460 3 місяці тому

    This was a size 58? Do you know your cycling inseam and your height? Was asking because I have the 61 but feel it is too big for me and wondered if the 58 would work.

    • @hikerbikeromar
      @hikerbikeromar  3 місяці тому +1

      I am 185 cm tall with a 86.5 cm inseam. I was on the border between a 58 and a 61. If I could go back, I probably would have opted for a 61 since the stack height on the 58 was a bit low for my liking.

    • @ryanhulsey3460
      @ryanhulsey3460 3 місяці тому

      I just took all my measurements again. My height is 191 cm and my cycling inseam is 92.7 cm. My measurement from center of bottom bracket to top of saddle is 83.1 cm (79 cm to center of saddle rail).

    • @hikerbikeromar
      @hikerbikeromar  3 місяці тому +1

      @@ryanhulsey3460 Ah OK, so you are probably best be fit on a 61 then. I'm shorter than you on the 58 sometimes feel too small for me, but it's hard to say. You might find the stack is too short on the 58, but I'd probably consider a bike fit first to help diagnose any issues.

    • @ryanhulsey3460
      @ryanhulsey3460 3 місяці тому

      @@hikerbikeromar Hey thanks for the response to all my comments. Yeah that's the biggest problem with the 58...the stack drops to a 610 (61 cm frame is a 644) which is kinda crazy that much drop between frame sizes. So you are given these bikes for a short period of time to test ride them and make videos about them??
