@@donniev8181 I know they mentioned that in this video but that rationale does not make any sense especially with this pride's history. Tailless' (Queen Tsalala's aunt and the lioness that raised her) death was attributed to injuries sustained from the same Kambula pride and BB (Tailless' mum), her death was also attributed to Lion relatives, the Mhangeni pride (Kambula pride mothers).
I know, right?? I was thinking the same thing.....they really communicate with their eyes and the way the look at each other. You could almost tell what they were thinking! Lol
If Nhenha hadn't been there, I'm afraid this wouldve had a different outcome. He really did emotionally take charge once he worked out what had happened. Once the Tsalala female hit Nhenha in the nose i was soo afraid we'd be seeing a "Dark Mane Majin" case when the Xim lioness scratched his nose and he further attacked her on her fatal night. Ugh.
The Irony of this whole situation was this was a daughter that was once part of this pride but for some reason her and a few other females broke away from the pride. The Tsalala's female's cub was sired by one of the BBoys, likely Nhena, who was the one trying to stop the females from attacking her. During sometime in 2019 the kambula pride had a few females that left due to tensions between their pride members because there was too many members to safely care for their off spring, so the females left. All of the Females are related to the legendary Tailless lioness, who sadly died due to vengeful villagers poisoning the pride, after the pride kept killing Maasai livestock, all of the pride members managed to be treated but the Oldest Member, known as Tailless, died to poisoning.

Brave and bold Tsalala female. So glad she survived. Gosh... Tinyo looks dangerous the way he stares down the kambula lioness and scolds his cubs. These b boys look much darker maned these days. Being 10 and 9 years old.
Well, they are gettin' on in years but their teefs look just fine I think they are gonna be okay maybe another 4 years tbh their fangs don't even look yellow'd at all.
I believe Tinyo has as much to do with this lone female as Nhena does, or Tinyo would't have been so determined to protect her as he was. He was the one who stayed by the lone lionesses side and kept the other females at bay and from further attacking this lone female. If he had not known this lone female i don't believe he would have been as intent on protecting her as he was. We cannot always know what exactly goes on with these lions at night and in secret. So he must be mating her as well, or he wouldn't protect her as he did.
That was an amazing video of lions dynamics. I think the Birbingham males were trying to protect the Tsalala female. One of them, Nhenha, is the father of her daughter. Kambulas were trying to defend territory and cubs. Tsalala stood bravely against them, but wounded. All of us, who follow her story, are worried about her.Where is she now? If there is any news about her and her cub, please let us know. Thank you.
@@Maxibaluco i am afraid we don't know yet if she is fine. The mother is badly injured. The cub was found alive, but the mother was nowhere near her. Tsalala lioness must be found! There are a lot of dangers out there for a lone, injured lioness and her cub.
This fight took place on the 18th May on MalaMala Game Reserve, our rangers found her cub alive and well on the 21st May, not too far from where the fight had taken place. We continue to search for the lioness and her cub daily, keep an eye on our social media platforms for updates.
Nhena (one of the B Boys) was trying to protect the tsalala female (his mate and father of his cub) from his ‘other’ Pride of mates (and very angry lionesses). If Nhena (and Tinyo backing him up) hadn’t been there she would most certainly have been torn to shreds. I hope she can make it back to her cub and live. She and her cub are the last of her Pride. This seems like a dumb question but it isn’t out of the realm of possibility (the Mangheni male was accepted by a pride not his own) but if the Tsalala cub is now motherless, is there a chance that this very same pride will accept her? I mean, the males (Nhena) would protect her, and if she showed enough submission and humility to the females, is it possible?
Hi there, the Marthly lioness was lucky to survive this attack. We found her cub alive on MalaMala Game Reserve 3 days after this fight and continue to search for her mother daily. It would be very unusual for a female lion to be accepted into another pride, only time will tell.
It's so great to watching this 👍. The lionesses are fighter.👌. Thank's for shearing this fantastisch Video 👏. You make a very good job. Greetings from Germany 💌. Heidi 🦁🦁🦁🦁
Seeing all those lionesses that just kept popping up was pretty intimidating.Knowing they would've killed the lone lioness had the males not stood between them.
WOW!!! I hope the lioness is able to find her pride and heal from the fight she was in fighting for her life. She will be sore! My fear is for her cub. All alone. Now I’m worried about both of them surviving. Thank y’all so much for sharing this, please keep me updated on them both!
Hi Gillian, we are looking for the Marthly lioness daily. We found her cub alive and well on the afternoon of the 21st May, three days after the fight. We have since seen tracks of the cub and continue to search for her and her mother.
Having seen so many views of this, I cannot thank you enough for the whole story @MalaMala Game Reserve! I watched this 3 times so far-absolutely fascinating with Lion Dynamics. Gowrie Males saved her life I feel. Isn't one of them(or both) the father of her cub? I just hope they reunite soon.
This was so amazing!!! The footage is just stunning to see lion warfare in lion society. I just hate to see a lion/lioness gained up on and suffer a mauling! The cubs look so helpless and scared.
How is the injured lion related to the kambula pride? Was she part of the pride before and moved away or is she part of another pride that's controlled by the gowrie males? Will be grateful if anyone can kindly clarify. Thanks.
The Gowrie males are indeed dominant over both prides. Although we can not be certain of this, it does appear they prevented the Kambula Pride from killing the Marthly lioness in this interaction.
I've never seen such strict "no love policy" males in my life lol ! Usually the fathers will just mean mug and snarl at their kids. These dudes are puttin paws on em !
No they were trying to keep both parties separated. Nhena (one of the males) was the wounded female’s mate (as well as the co-mate along with his brother of the attacking pride- he didn’t want anyone hurt and was caught in the middle). Nhena and Tinyo saved the Tsalala female’s life.
thriller ... rooting for Prettygirl Tsalala and her cub to pull through this ... after rewatching the footage I believe 2 factors mainly contributed to her survival ...the steep rocks behind her protecting her backside from being attacked and the Gowrie Males trying to balance out the aggression ...
Hi Moondust, we found the cub alive on MalaMala Game Reserve on the 21st May, 3 days after the attack. We continue to search for the Marthly lioness daily.
The Kambula and the Marthly have the same husband right ??? that why the lions protected her Pls answer me cause I'm a new one I have no clue about their relationship
I was wondering if the male could tell if she was related to the other lionesses or not. Or if they could tell themselves. Through smell? Amazing sighting. Thanks Mala Mala.

The injured lioness, and her cub are the last of her pride... That's why this is a tragic situation, this lioness, and her cub are vital to the future of the Tsalala pride. As of right now they haven't reunited, but the cub is said to be alive. Hopefully they reunite soon.
Hi Kathy, we continue to search for the Marthly lioness daily. One of our rangers found her cub on the 21st of May just 3 days after the fight took place.
The females from Othawa Pride and Mangheni Pride were sired by the Mapogo's, I believe the Tsalala's weren't. But it's that she is a daughter of the Majingilane.

John Woodrum shes got a cub sired by one off bb. last i read cub was down stream from fight but not have reunited after
I felt the sound of the lions roaring in the pit of my stomach. A truly amazing, yet terrifying, sound. Pride dynamic is harsh, but fascinating.
Agreed!
Outstanding video!!...your best one yet!!!
Wow, thanks!
am amazed by the crispy clear footage felt like I was there nice cam!
A fascinating video, the lion's growl gives me goosebumps
That was an amazing video of lions dynamics. I think the Birbingham males were trying to protect the Tsalala female. One of them, Nhenha, is the father of her daughter. Kambulas were trying to defend territory and cubs. Tsalala stood bravely against them, but wounded. All of us, who follow her story, are worried about her.Where is she now? If there is any news about her and her cub, please let us know. Thank you.
The cub was seen alone in londolozi, she was fine, i hope they eventually reunited
@@Maxibaluco i am afraid we don't know yet if she is fine. The mother is badly injured. The cub was found alive, but the mother was nowhere near her. Tsalala lioness must be found! There are a lot of dangers out there for a lone, injured lioness and her cub.
@@fofipapadopoulou8856 exactly!

This fight took place on the 18th May on MalaMala Game Reserve, our rangers found her cub alive and well on the 21st May, not too far from where the fight had taken place. We continue to search for the lioness and her cub daily, keep an eye on our social media platforms for updates.
You guys always have great videos that i enjoy watching .
Thanks so much Wykeisha.
These family dynamics are fascinating ....it seems a cool early morning is the ideal time for a territory brawl....
Usually the female of the other prides won't be accepted. Only the male cubs may sometimes be tolerated.
These dark mane lions look savage with their scared up faces.
Looked like the males were putting distance between them then put themselves between them broke it up really' good for them' 🦁🦁❤😃
It's so great to watching this 👍. The lionesses are fighter.👌. Thank's for shearing this fantastisch Video 👏. You make a very good job. Greetings from Germany 💌. Heidi 🦁🦁🦁🦁
Danke Heidemarie ;)
Tough ole bird walking away from that! Thanks for sharing. Very enjoyable video.
Thank you for watching Judith. We’ll post an update on our SM channels as soon as we have them.
I know it is nature and all of that but still hard to watch. Praying that she and her cub find each other and get well, soon
Hi Gillian, we are looking for the Marthly lioness daily. We found her cub alive and well on the afternoon of the 21st May, three days after the fight. We have since seen tracks of the cub and continue to search for her and her mother.
@@paulibakker8880 thank you thank you thank you
Having seen so many views of this, I cannot thank you enough for the whole story @MalaMala Game Reserve! I watched this 3 times so far-absolutely fascinating with Lion Dynamics.
Gowrie Males saved her life I feel. Isn't one of them(or both) the father of her cub? I just hope they reunite soon.
You are quite right Samantha, one of them is the the father. Thank you for watching!
I believe Nhena is the father as he visits her & their daughter often.
This was so amazing!!! The footage is just stunning to see lion warfare in lion society. I just hate to see a lion/lioness gained up on and suffer a mauling! The cubs look so helpless and scared.
Poor little babies being bossed around.
How is the injured lion related to the kambula pride?
Was she part of the pride before and moved away or is she part of another pride that's controlled by the gowrie males?
Will be grateful if anyone can kindly clarify. Thanks.
I think one of the gowrie males is a father of her cub
Never get bored with this one
Are the Birmingham males not dominant over both prides?
The Gowrie males are indeed dominant over both prides. Although we can not be certain of this, it does appear they prevented the Kambula Pride from killing the Marthly lioness in this interaction.
Is that Tinyo or Nenha that is next to the Marthly/Tsalala Lioness??
That was some footage you got there she is an amazing strong lioness I hope she pulls through o k what a day for her wow
I've never seen such strict "no love policy" males in my life lol ! Usually the fathers will just mean mug and snarl at their kids. These dudes are puttin paws on em !
I've informed social services.
@@magnacarta9364 lol !
Did the Lioness under attack leave the scene later and rejoin her 'other' pride? Thanks for any info👍
Captivating. To say the least. Just from watching the males, they treated her like an outsider, one that that didn’t belong. Thank you Mala Mala.
no actually Birmingham Boys/Gowrie males lions are trying to protected her because they are the fathers of lone tsalala/mantly lioness cubs
Our pleasure J Graham.
One the best videos of Lyons so fare 🦁❤️
She is a pride of one with a cub?
That is correct. There used to be more...
MalaMala Game Reserve It appears that Nhena (her mate) was trying to protect her (from his other pride)?
Is this a territorial dispute? Any ideas why they did this?
MalaMala Game Reserve - do you think this same pride killed all the others of her pride? Maybe since she was alone she was trying to join them?
@@MalaMalaGameReserve so really, it's not really a pride now. Just a lone lioness with her cub.... how sad.
thriller ... rooting for Prettygirl Tsalala and her cub to pull through this ... after rewatching the footage I believe 2 factors mainly contributed to her survival ...the steep rocks behind her protecting her backside from being attacked and the Gowrie Males trying to balance out the aggression ...
Hi Moondust, we found the cub alive on MalaMala Game Reserve on the 21st May, 3 days after the attack. We continue to search for the Marthly lioness daily.

Love Kruger Sightings and what you all do on the Mala Mala game reserve. Great job.👍
Thank you for your support.
They all seem unsettled. That little cub was told to keep off by the male lion at 6:42.
*The 'animal fight' between the dog and the vacuum cleaner: who will conquer the living room territory?*
Just as with humans a level of respect must be maintained and disapline must be maintained also.
So cool 😎
The male lion is like a strict disciplinarian father who has a problem showing his tender side He doesn't want to appear weak. lol!
Naw, they're just pint sized pains-in-da-ass. He's like, "Get over there with yo' mama before I whoop yo' lil' ass!"
Thanks Rob excellent video, beautiful herd, greetings
Is this Male Lion Tinyo ?
At 1:30, why is the male attacking the female? Can someone summarize the whole drama for me? Thank you!
The Kambula and the Marthly have the same husband right ??? that why the lions protected her
Pls answer me cause I'm a new one I have no clue about their relationship
Yes
The back Mane turns them more beautiful and looking more stronger
Nhena saved her too, poor fighter....she is a warrior very strong
That's one tough Jane took on the Male them the leas lionesses Powerful moment
if the male wanted to kill her ,he would have, in fact he blocked the lionesses,
She had no choice
The good thing is She walked away and that's all that matters
Thank you for NOT adding music, as so many others do, and I'll take that beeping over shit music any day.
Incredible insight into the life of lions,Outstanding footage !
Thank you very much.
The lone lioness is clearly an older female....I wonder if she is possibly the mother of the two males???
I was wondering if the male could tell if she was related to the other lionesses or not. Or if they could tell themselves. Through smell? Amazing sighting. Thanks Mala Mala.
What rare footage of pride behavior. Let us know if she is back with her pride and reunited with her cub. Poor her. Hi to all of you and thank you. Kathy in Washington state
The injured lioness, and her cub are the last of her pride... That's why this is a tragic situation, this lioness, and her cub are vital to the future of the Tsalala pride. As of right now they haven't reunited, but the cub is said to be alive. Hopefully they reunite soon.
She ain't got no pride....this is so awful.
Hi Kathy, we continue to search for the Marthly lioness daily. One of our rangers found her cub on the 21st of May just 3 days after the fight took place.
so at the 18:04 mark listen to the background audio what was that you were cutting up and sniffing ?
I was looking for someone else who noticed it. Haha.
Fantastic cinematography, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Tsalala liones is the daughter of Majinjilane and grand daughter of Mapogo?the Tsalala cub is Nsuku or Nhena son?
The females from Othawa Pride and Mangheni Pride were sired by the Mapogo's, I believe the Tsalala's weren't. But it's that she is a daughter of the Majingilane.
Kambula/Ntsevu pride is the breakaway pride from Mhangeni pride which is the breakaway pride from Tsalala....Tsalala lioness is daughter of Majingilane....Mapogos daughters are in Othawa and Mhangeni prides as Flugstein wrote

they are found together and they are ok
Is there followup footage of her recovery? This was so intense to watch, thank you for capturing this event .. both prides are quite large to be living so close?? Or is this becoming the norm as their natural word shrinks???
This is the norm, even though their natural world is shrinking. Follow this link for the follow up: ua-cam.com/video/Nf7c93P3pJQ/v-deo.html
How far away are you when filming this, looks to bloody close to me !!!!
They have very powerful zoom on there cameras but they do come close at times the lions don’t pay any attention to the vehicles
Think just watching it from my home here in Wales in UK, is as close as I wanna be. !!!!!
What a tense situation, but the male did not kill the lioness and stopped other females to attack her! Lions life is very dangerous!
Lioness: who is she?
Lion King: I don't know baby
Other lioness walking up: HEY JEROME!
Lion King: Shit.....
The male made order as a king. He protected the lioness too. 👍 But, what was she doing there, did they come upon her or did she come to the pride? What was the meaning of it all?
