I like how progressively dark it gets as you collect the objects, then the light comes back after putting the magic element
They did a good job with these cut scenes.
Bro this game was something else at its time. I wish they would make a remaster of it or something.
Oh yeah me too and hopefully give us a light and dark source though the dark source seems a bit redundant
Interesting as a remaster would be, I would request one rewrite/stipulation, make the playable sky landers unlockable in game instead of what they were when the game released, the test market for amiboes.

I couldn't agree more, but if they did, I would hope they would make a way where ALL skylander types (giants, trap team, etc.) can be useful with their special abilities.
I like to think that They added special parts to the core of light with the Dark and Light elements, perhaps something along the lines of "The Clear dimond of Crystal Skies" and "The Black Tarr of the Abyss" as well as the corisponding Eternal sources, I love the first Skylanders game, simple small and beautiful in its cutscenes
The Eternal Dark Source represent what is needed to show the light, while the Eternal Light Source is what brings harmony and order.
some say that the crystal eye holds the eternal light source, and that the skull mask is linked to the eternal dark source
I feel like a lot of games go “I need this for x” and that’s it. But I like with rebuilding the core, each part is showed to add something new. It’s so cool looking
I agree. By having the cutscenes show exactly what each part adds, the player feels like they actually achieved something.
Honestly watching the cutscenes of the core being built is my favorite part of the original skylanders game.
This game was amazing. It hurt me so much when I saw what had become of it. It saddens me that such a beautiful series could fall so far, so fast.
Honestly, I would want nothing more than a remaster of Spyro's Adventure, it would be a dream come true

Skylanders is an animated fantasy adventure game about many different types of creatures that are good to bad, like dragons, fish like creatures, robots, sorcerers, witches, tree creatures, warriors, animal like creatures, ice monsters and others
Superchargers revealing it to be an unfinished weapon against the Darkness would've been cool if not for Kaos and his Sky Eater destroying it completely, wasting the Eye of the Ancients and the time we took to get it in the Monstrous isles.
I remember always looking forward to these cut scenes whenever I completed a level, so many memories I have with this game. But damn was it expensive.

the eternal air source wasnt just for bring ing the statuesto the core and clearing the dust, it seems to be the most powerful of the sources with it being able to pull islands as well as allow the great machine to accept the other sources. its actually cool that the first source allows the the other parts and sources to be bound to the core while the last source lets it stay together
Air is everywhere in Skylands, you might not see it or be able to touch it. Just like Skylands it is infinite meaning there are also limitless secrets to this element. It is in fact the most mysterious of them all.
Anyone else still get chills hearing "the core of light,is reborn" even after all these years later 😢
The skull mask of the philosopher king Mortalarmus still creeps me out with the way it stares at your skylander as they move around xd

You know, I was playing the Frostpunk: The Last Autumn DLC and while watching the generator get built I was struck with the memory of this, totally has the same vibe all these years later
Also you can see the background gets darker and darker. Similar to last autumn snow grows more and more
I’ve just noticed that each piece and element goes together:
The Twin Spouts of Ocea-Major-Minor go with the Water Element
The Crystal Eye goes with the Earth Element
The Green Goo of Primordia goes with the Nature Element
The Golden Gear goes with the Tech Element
The Skull Mask of King Mortalannis goes with the Undead Element
The Crucible of the Ages goes with the Fire Element
The Quicksilver goes with the Magic Element
It’s kinda like baking
All ingredients bond together to form something great and or beautiful
makes sense, since you see them interact
- once you get the water source, the spouts begin spraying out water
- once you get the earth source, the crystal eye changes its position and the light begins shining
- once you get the green goo, the vines of the life source begins glowing
- once you get the tech source, the gears begin to move
- once you get the undead source, the spirit summoned by the mask is unleashed
- once you get the fire source, the crucible begins to burn
- once you get the magic source, not only do the runes begin to glow brighter...but it causes the whole core to reboot and start up at full power
What about the eternal air source? What does it go with?
@@yerielurena1873 The air source doesn’t really go with anything, it more so kickstarts the reconstruction of the core by bringing the two stone golems back towards it and clearing away dirt.

Honestly I really love this core of lights design, love it very much.
I really liked how as soon as the eternal magic source was added, the core shut down...then immediately started right back up at full power
the addition of the source essentially made the core do a full reboot to run at full power again

And chaos element
A couple other things and that will make it more powerful and fully complete
I'd also like to have parts you would need to get for the air and life sources.

theory: a lot of people have wondered where in the core the eye of the ancients would have gone and my guesses are either on top of or inside the crystal in the main furnace because that's there the beam comes from, or below the crystal eye to allow it to rotate and aim the beam of light.
What is the eye of the ancients?
the missing part of the core of light in superchargers that would have been able to allow the core to be used as a weapon and completely destroy the darkness

I miss this series, man. This is what got me into Video Games, and I LOVE IT!!!!!! I still go back to play imaginators every once and a while. God I would KILL for a remaster/rerelease of these games.

Can we talk about the cristal eye’s introduction for a moment? I mean, am i the only one who was expecting some moreninformation, on how it was made, treasured, or whatever. After all, you get a grail “made from leviathans scales”, yet what seems to be the central piece of the core of light, as the part that shoots the beam, is just “you got the cristal eye. Good for you”.
Am I the only one who gets the feeling it was left out?
I have the theory that some of the objects contain or contained the elemental sources of Light and Darkness. Light makes it able to see, and crystals/mirroring objects can reflect light. So my theory is that the eye CONTAINS the Eternal Light Source or is suposed to he the vessel for the source.
For Dark i think it has to do with the Skull Mask of the first Undead King Mortalanis. Both dark creatures and the undead lurk in the shadows of Skylands. And ghosts and stuff emerge from the DARKNES, meaning that as first Undead king, he could have been a creature of darkness himself or be some kind of hybrid of dark and undead.

@@davidrequena6482 that is my 2nd theory. The Giants were the first skylanders (canon) and the scroll in the 'Tree Top Terrace' states that the first skylanders used light and dark. So the Light skylanders must have been a Syclops...bc 1 eye...and Siclopses use a lot of laps/lasers and stuff. In Swap Force some even use there eye to reflect light and lasers so...
@@davidrequena6482 I once read that Spotlight actually LIVED in the original core of light. So there might be a possible chance that she helped create the crystal eye before she became the core skylander of the light element.
@@totaljustice10-4 i insist, good theories, that make a lot of sense, and i understand its fun to especulate where everything might have come from. but my complain is how dull its introduction is compared to the rest of the parts. id love the idea that perhaps the cristal eye was once a part of the core of light, maybe even the prior form of the core of light or something like that, but i would have love to hear eon saying something about it.

The new core of light in Imaginator alone was made of energy as I recall yes but I think not all of the power was destroyed some of these parts underground could’ve been useful for recycling the new core of light

You are right but I’m talking about when the ancients built it the first time.
In skylanders superchargers it is revealed that the core of light was supposed to destroy the darkness but since the ancients haven’t completed it all it did was keep it at bay. My only question is why the ancients didn’t finish it

They never explain, ive played through every game and the only time they ever bring up the ancients again is in skylanders imaginaters, my best guess is that the answer is somehwere there.
Idk but the out of game reason is that it lets the darkness actually fight you.
