    hi there 90% of the walnut i get has metal in it ', I use a drill a lot of time to get nails ,1/4 bit and drill several wholes around it . good sawing , best to all john

    You might want to try using what carpenters use which is a "cat's paw". Try a local Home Improvement lumber yard store. It will damage less wood around the screw/nail.

    I just subscribed to you again I don't know what it is but it keeps going off Saying I haven't subscribed but I did So again I subscribed And that's a nice black walnut log yet it's a shame you had a Screw in it I know I did one I still have it down in the shop it's a pulley The Whole pulley was in the middle of the tree I'm gonna have to show One time So stay safe and have a good day
