Wish I would have found this sooner. Did not start until more than 2 months after surgery. Have been doing these exercises the past 30 days and have seen marked improvement in my incontinence. Very please with my progress. Thank you.
@No3Jacks Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm glad to hear that you have seen improvement in your incontinence after starting the exercises. It's never too late to begin and continue working on your recovery. Keep up the good work! 🙏 ❤️
I can't thank you enough! I am a 72-years old and 4-weeks post-op today from a radical robotic prostatectomy. Your video has really empowered and encouraged me during my recovery! Urinary continence is going so well - thanks to you!
@roba799 you're most welcome! I'm so happy to hear about your progress and I really do appreciate you taking the time to let me know! Wishing you continued success on your recovery journey! 🙏
Michelle - Your video "Prostatectomy Kegel Exercises for Men - Physiotherapy Real Time Daily Recovery Workout" has been a tremendous help to me over the last 5 months since my prostatectomy. The video does a GREAT job of walking through the Kegel Exercises, and very importantly through the relaxation of the pelvic floor after the exercises! With your MOST EXCELLENT HELP I have been able to train my pelvic floor muscles and have pretty much eliminated the urinary urgency and frequency incontinence effects that I was experiencing after my surgery. Thank you very much for this excellent video and your other helpful videos. - Eric Ziegler
@EricZiegler-mi6nx Hi Eric Congratulations and thanks so much for letting me know about your excellent progress. My privilege indeed to be able to assist you. Wishing you all the best for your future health and thank you so much for taking the time to message me 🙏😊
I had Robotic Radical Prostatectomy here in Bangalore, India, about 2 months back, Thereafter I had lot of incontinence, Then as per your guidance, I started doing Kegel exercises and within 20 days, it’s gradually reducing day by day, Thank you many times, With best wishes always 🙏🙏
@srinivasam3638 I'm glad to hear about your progress. Remember to continue with the exercises as recommended by your healthcare provider to achieve the best results. Wishing you all the best on your journey to recovery. 🙏❤️
**Recent research has shown this exact Kegels routine improves recovery speed, overcomes bladder leakage and improves strength and endurance fastest after radical prostatectomy (ref. Milios et al 2019)
I was never told by any urologist prior to my radical prostatectomy to do kegel exercises. Only after my catheter was removed, was I instructed to start them. Sounds like a silly question, but is this going to be an issue with my urinary incontinence, or ED recoveries? It has been 7 weeks post surgery for me as of this comment. Thank you 🙂
@Sludge56 you're most welcome!❤️🌺 Thank you so very much for your kind donation and for sharing your progress! I'm so glad to know that you've seen improvements in your incontinence after starting the Kegel exercises. Consistency and dedication to these exercises can indeed yield positive results. Your donation is greatly appreciated and will help in creating more helpful content. Keep up the great work, your dedication to your recovery is inspiring! I wish you all the best! ❤️ 🙏
Just left quite a long comment which seems to have disappeared.. To sum up, thanks so much Michelle for your great work and positive advice. I did the exercises with you for nearly a year from April 2023 and it brought me from vulnerable to confident recovery. Just realised that I never thanked you which I do now with all my heart. You're a jewel and I am forever grateful. I miss you and thank you. David
@DavidDundas-fn9ih David, thank you so much for sharing your journey and kind words! I'm incredibly moved by your story of recovery and am truly honored to have been part of your progress from vulnerability to confidence. Your dedication over nearly a year is inspiring, and I'm so glad the exercises made such a positive impact. Your heartfelt message means a lot to me-I'm grateful for your support and wish you continued strength and health! 🙏💖
I contributed again because in the week that I have been doing the exercises,my continence has improved, great instruction even though you do 5 long lifts and then 6 long lifts. Thanks Michelle
@fredherzner8160 Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience! I'm so glad to know that my advice has helped you achieve good results. Keep up the great work! 🙏❤️
Keith Brown I am 1 month post radical prostatectomy and have no control even though i have been using the squeezy app. I have just found your videos and hope for success by following your exercises religiously.
I've recently been diagnosed and have a RP scheduled for February. I found your video a couple weeks ago and have been doing 3 times a day and am very hopeful it will be helpful after surgery.
@johnjwatsonjr3835 I do hope this helps you. Remember to follow your healthcare provider's guidance as well. Wishing you all the best with your RP surgery in February. 🙏
Thank you Michelle for your help. I could visualize everything you said to do which helped me to focus on technique, which is the key to success. I am 9 days post-op from robotic radical prostatectomy and 2 days since my catheter was removed with no bladder control except for the faintest of indications this morning. I know following the exercise routine you laid out will help so I am committing to it for the long run. Thanks again!
@cvgguy98 I hope you’re recovering well! Yes the exercises should help you regain bladder control over the next 12weeks - start gently, focus on correct technique then gradually increase strength if contractions standing upright if you can. This video may be helpful for you to do you can check your technique is correct ua-cam.com/video/AvOReBnZ3eM/v-deo.html hope this is helpful too & all the best! 🙏
Hi Michelle, thank you for your interest in my health and the link. That confirmed I am doing the exercises correctly as I felt the downward bulge in the peri-anal region as I performed the Kegel exercise. It seems so counter-intuiative to feel a downward buldge as you try to lift the pelvic floor but it works.. A 1-hr incontinence session just prior to my surgery also confirmed I was doing the exercises correctly. In this first week of the exercises after catheter removal,, I am beginning to see the short-lived ability to stop/start he urine stream when I stand from lying down. Gaining full control and controlling the all day drip will be a work in progress but this is encouraging. Thanks again! Steve
@cvgguy98 you're most welcome! Thank you, Steve, for sharing your experience and progress. I'm glad to hear that you're seeing some positive results and that you're noticing improvements in your ability to control your urine flow. Wishing you continued success on your recovery journey! 🙏
Hi Michelle, Following a procedure of the bladder for retention and dripping have now been advised to limit the intake of fluids and confine the passage of urine to every 2 hours. To grow accustomed to this unfamiliar process i started to use the techniques stated here and am pleased to state they've been indeed helpful. My sincere gratitude Michelle for your efforts. Keep up the good work.
@shameemmakeen5527 I'm glad to know that the techniques mentioned in the video have been helpful for you. Your kind words are much appreciated. Keep up the good work, and wish you all the best! 🙏
@martinsturgess6087 Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Pre-surgery exercises can indeed be beneficial for post-operative recovery. Wishing you a speedy recovery! 🙏
I love your coached timed Kegel exercises. I have found that your coaching is what I needed to progress. Keep up the good work! Thanks for helping in my rehab program.
@CarlosFleming-wv9gf You're most welcome and thank you so very much for your kind donation, I really do appreciate this!❤️🌺 I'm so glad to know that this helped you with your progress. Keep up the great work with your exercises! 🙏
@Peter Bayley thank you so much for taking the time to message me, your comment means everything, I’m so glad to have touched your life in a positive way Peter, all the very best for your future health and happiness 🙏🌸
Hi Michelle, thanks for your videos. I had a radical prostatectomy 2 1/2 months ago. Prior to surgery I was advised to perform these exercises using the NHS Sqeezy app as a guide and reminder but it was never fully explained how. Luckily I found out about your videos and have been following your advice. Once I'd had the surgery and had the catheter removed I continued and am now almost dry and in control.
@Bill Hayes really my pleasure and thank you for your kindness and incredible generosity. Yes Bill you are iindeed correct in that when I hear from viewers like you that I've managed to help I feel greatest satisfaction. All the best to you Bill moving forward 🙏
Hi Michelle, I underwent Robotic Radial Prostatectomy before 10 days in Mumbai here.Your Videos on Kegel exercises are worth looking into.I hope with regular practice my urinary incontinence will improve with time…..Thank you so much
Thank you for sharing this information. i have ED and i have been doing your real time work out, i have since notice some improvement . However can you please do an updated video for real time work out specifically for ED ?
This is great! I appreciate the well thought-out plan. I had the radical prostatecomy. Didn't know about this prior to surgery, but I will contine with this post-surgery. The video is motivating and easy to follow.
@stevenmuir1834 Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video motivating and easy to follow. It's never too late to start. Keep up the great work, and best of luck with your recovery!🙏❤️
Thanks Michelle! Your videos have offered me great support pre and post prostatectomy. I appreciate your channel and will continue to learn and develop my body safely and steadily with you. Cheers!
@neilobrien7096 You're very welcome! So glad to know that my videos have been helpful in your journey both before and after your prostatectomy. Keep up the great work, and cheers to your continued progress! 🌟😊
Thanks so much for the Video's Michelle. I am 4 weeks after Catheter removal and am down to one pad a day after using 4 or 5 in the first days. It's great to just load your video 3 times a day and just do it rather that going solo. My Physio agve me instructions but the videos make it so much easier with yout motivation ! Blessings from the UK !
@colinharris8317 Colin thanks so much for your support, generosity and feedback. It’s great to read that you are doing so well at this early stage of recovery too. I’m really glad you’re finding the videos supportive and motivating, your comment makes it all worthwhile. Wishing you all the very best for continued progress and speedy return to good health, best wishes to you Colin 🙏
Its about time I found this video thank you I am gong to have prostatectomy in the middle of July so I have 4-5 weeks to do this exercise. It thesame as my Doctors gave me to do before my surgery. I wish I have time to do it even only 2 times a day. Thanks again.
@duposflies2621 Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you found the video helpful in preparing for your upcoming prostatectomy. It's great that your doctor has already provided you with similar exercises to follow. Remember to follow their guidance and gradually increase the frequency as you feel comfortable. Best wishes for a successful surgery and a smooth recovery! 🙏
...All the best on your upcoming surgery. I am 9 days out post-op and know it was the right treatment as opposed to radiation. You will feel better knowing the cancer was removed from your body. Glad your health allows you to be a good candidate for the surgery. Hang in there with recovery. Surgery first opens up a great 2nd option of reduced radiation load, if any tumor cells happen to survive the surgery. On the other hand,, radiation first to irradiate the entire prostate would greatly complicate future surgery...
I would like to say: thank you. Unfortunately, I found your channel two weeks after the surgery. The urinary inconsistency is already established. But, there is always the possibility of look for health again. Thank you!
@Marcus Vinicus you're welcome! Never too late in life ... never know when you might need to know this again 😉 All the best for your recovery Marcus ! 🙏 ❤️
Thank you Michelle, this was the best on the subject that I have found. I am 21/2 weeks post-radical prostatectomy and I needed something I could work with. This nailed thank you. D
I sincerely hope this helps me after my prostate removal..I wasn’t advised to do any routines before my operation so feel miles behind in making progress.
Thanks for doing these videos Michelle. I had RP on 10/6/2021 and I still leak around an ounce a day. I've been doing these exercises laying down 4 times a day, 7 days a week using only a gentle squeeze. I'm going to start doing these standing up with a harder squeeze to see if I can get over the last 1 ounce hump.
@Robbie Norris I think this is your best way to progress for sure - standing exercises will maximize the benefit for your bladder control and yes work towards stronger contractions as you are able to. Wishing you all the best for your progress and success Robbie
Michelle, I did these exercises 5 weeks before my surgery and I have continued the exercises for 4 weeks after my catheter was removed. I am completely incontinent. I never have the feeling to urinate! Have you heard of this occurring with other patiences?
Michelle you are my angel, im so much in love with you. been doing these exercises for almost 8 months. my power and size is totally a different world now. the sensation i feel . stay happy and blessed Angel Michelle
@relaxingworld7800 Thank you for your kind words and for following the exercises. I'm delighted to know that you've experienced positive results and improvements. Wishing you continued success and good health! 🙏 ❤️
@NM-1994 I will try my best! Thank you for your encouragement! Your support means a lot. If you have any more feedback or requests, feel free to share.❤️🌺
Hi Michelle, I am 5 months post radical prostatectomy surgery and struggling with bladder control. I look forward to benefiting from your workout routine!!
Hiya Michelle, Thanks heaps for putting your videos out there to help people. I'm 5 weeks out from non nerve sparing. robotic Prostatectomy, this video seems a bit nicer to follow than the new version you put up, My pelvic health specialist has given me exercises to do, but standing in front of the video makes it easy. Ive shared your video with my sexual health rehabilitation specialist too, Cheers, Mike
@dundee1000 You're very welcome, Mike! I'm glad to hear that you find the video helpful in your recovery journey after a prostatectomy. It's great that you've been proactive in seeking guidance from a pelvic health specialist and sharing the video with your sexual health rehabilitation specialist. I wish you continued success in your recovery and improved pelvic health. 🙏 💖
Hey Michelle, first of all, thanks a lot for your videos, they're a blessing. I wanted to ask you a question about Reverse Kegels. you must've seen this question a lot but I was wondering : Do these help with overcoming PE (Premature Ejaculation) ? I've seen in a subreddit that doing them everyday while pleasing yourself would help in the course of a few months. Could this lead to potential problems? Doing them without doing the normal kegels exercices? Have a nice day!
@Kira great question! Reverse Kegels will only help in the case of the pelvic floor muscles being too tight. There is a lot of misunderstanding about reverse kegels. They actually relax the pelvic floor muscles which are responsible for male erection. So unless the pelvic floor muscles are tight/in spasm there is no benefit for PE. I hope this makes things clearer for you & all the best!
I had a prostatectomy 8 days ago. The catheter came out today but i couldn't go for a pee. The hospital let me leave because of my constant dripping which means my bladder is emptying. Pre op i was regularly doing pelvic exercises. I've bought some pads but the dripping is non stop. I know it's early days & I expected some leakage but not like this. God knows how I'm going to sleep. I hope this plan can help me 🙏
I had surgery 4 years ago. Working with a physical therapist was very helpful and got me 95% of the way there. I still need to wear a light pad and have a small amount of leakage. I've had more that one urologist tell me that after a year, there's little benefit from doing Kegels and that I just needed to accept where I am. Do you agree with that assessment? Is it possible I'll ever be 100% dry? I continue to do daily Kegels thinking that I just need to avoid losing the gains I've made.
@Paul Guyer I’m so glad to read of your improvement to date, well done indeed. Unfortunately I can’t make an assessment on your individual condition and the only person who can do this is your treating Physical Therapist who knows the pelvic floor training you’ve performed. I would also suggest the importance of functional training which is over-overlooked but can provide the icing on the cake so to speak. This involves training and using the pelvic floor muscles in the situations that stress your pelvic floor and cause the leakage eg before and during cough, sit to stand, etc. Perhaps it’s worth returning to your Physical Therapist and asking if there is any further progression possible for your training too. I hope this helps and all the best!🙏
Thanks again for your videos Michelle! My prostate was removed Jan 20th of this year. I started doing kegels last summer, before the surgery and with your help I'm now doing 2-3 sets daily. However, I leak urine each time I contract and each time I relax my muscles. Plus, I experience significant leakage throughout the day. What are your thoughts?
@Lee Bryant Well done on your improvement to date. Are you able to access treatment with a pelvic floor physiotherapist who treats men post prostate surgery? I think this would be a helpful way to proceed to help you check on your technique and assist you with progress. I’m not sure which country you are writing from, however, there are many excellent physiotherapists who treat this field worldwide. Perhaps contact your specialists rooms for a recommendation or your national physiotherapy association for recommendations. Wishing you all the best 🙏
@@michellephysio I'm in Chicago, IL USA, and I do have a pelvic floor physiotherapist, but she has been on vacation. I'm certain that using your videos will, as you say, help me recover faster. Thanks again!
I found the verbal-only invitation to start each excercise difficult to follow (I wasn't clear when I should be contracting and when not). One the second set of fast contractions, you used a hand-gesture to indicate when we should be contracting and when to relax. I think it would have been good to use this hand-gesture consistently through all the excercises, from the start. That aside, a very useful video. Thanks.
Hi Michelle. Great advice and videos. Question is can we begin these at any time, i.e., before (or perhaps well before) the 5 week pre-op time. I can't imagine there is a risk with that but would like to hear from you or your team. Thanks very, very much!
@jeffreykahan6379 Hi there, great question I'm so glad you asked this. Jo Milios et al (2019) research found that men who included these exercises into preop routine had a faster return to strength and had significantly less bladder leakage so we now recommend these exercises are commenced at least 5-6 weeks prior to surgery. I hope this is helpful and wish you all the very best with your training and surgery. You may like to watch this video too which outlines the pre-op and post-op routine in more detail ua-cam.com/video/B3APjwkqi3Q/v-deo.htmlsi=7EP8FobXiUJJFKsU 🙏🏽
@@michellephysio Hi Michelle, couldn't be more thankful, one, for your videos, and two, that you respond so professionally. . . My important follow up is I actually don't have surgery scheduled but I will be scheduled for an MRI fusion biopsy in the next weeks or so and I am just thinking can I work these into a daily exercise regimen even though no specific treatment - surgery/radiation/focal therapy - has been set. I just want to be as proactive as possible but I also don't want to overdo it. Be super great to hear from on this follow-up, with the big thanks and kindest regards.
Quick update, just scheduled the biopsy for July 10, so about 4 weeks out from that, hoping for the best but trying to be realistic. Looking forward to hearing further, again, with much thanks!
@jeffreykahan6379 Thank you for the update. Scheduling the biopsy is a crucial step, and it's understandable to have mixed emotions about it. Wishing you the best for your upcoming biopsy.🙏🏽
@@michellephysio Thanks, again, Michelle. Until I get the dx, plan, etc. after the upcoming biopsy I am just doing 10 reps long and10 reps quick standing once a day after my regular workouts that are typically 30 mins eliptical and 4 sets on some weight lifting machine. I am almost 60 and consider myself in very good shape, diet and exercise (plan the same diet and workout regimen in perpetuity : ), If the word comes in that treatment is needed, I will shift to the full pre-op regimen. I am so thankful for all this information, with the most kind regards!
I am trying this for the first time. I have a Robotic Radical Prostatectomy in June. Not sure if I am doing this correctly. Any advice or ideas are welcome. Thanks
@Kat great to hear from you! I hope you're keeping well. I've had a rush on video requests for men lately - anything in particular that you'd like to see for women? Perhaps a real time exercise video for women? 💖💖
@@michellephysio I'm going to doctors finally next week, and nurse for my first smear test. Very nervous! I find it really embarrassing A real time video for women would be wonderful! Is a video about neck hump solution still on the list? 😊
@@Kat..... good for you, I'm proud of you!! Doctors do smear tests all the time and think nothing of it, try to breathe deeply and relax the way I've taught you and focus on doing that if you can as it helps alot. Neck hump slipped my mind, I'm prepping vids this week so I'll prep both of these and film later in the week. Good luck this week! Keep me posted Kat 😊
Hi Michelle i remove my prostate about 6 years ago, i wondered if this exercise will have any effect on me since has been so long i had the operation,i have to wear nappies becouse of the incontinence thank you so much for your help and for infommation P.S. forgive my mistakes im writing from italy
@Elio Iannone thank you for your question, I would definitely suggest start8ing the exercises regardless of how long it has been since your surgery. You may like to view this video too for more information ua-cam.com/video/B3APjwkqi3Q/v-deo.html wishing you all the best, Ciao
After having a radical prostatectomy in 2019 and a few other related surgeries and many, many catheters, I tried to regain some urine control by performing the Kegal exercises. One thing I did notice, overworking the those Kegal muscles made the incontinence worse, even during the night. If you wish to try these exercises, I highly advise you to take your time with these and don't over work them or you could do permanent or possible irreversible damage. I know!
I am 78 and has Robotic surgery 7 months ago. The incontinence continues unabated. I haven’t done enough exercises though and I continue to wear diapers. Any exercise will necessarily be messy what do you suggest - should I do the exercises naked or what else you suggest I😢
@Terence Gunner as you probably know, radiotherapy can affect the tissues in the pelvis. I’m not aware of research investigating exercises after radiotherapy however I don’t see that there’s any reason not to try Kegels to help regain bladder control and erectile function. Both in terms of improving flexibility and strength. If I can locate relevant research I’ll be sure to post. Wishing you all the best!🙏
Michelle, I appologize if I already asked this question. I lost my initial comment when my wifi went down. How many days per week should we be doing these excercises? Is every day too much?
I feel like I know her already LOL. I hope this one is helping, I was always doing this sitting or laying down. I think it is actually hopefully better today.
On the second set of long Kegel exercises, at about 6:50 in the video, right after the FOURTH long kegel exercise, you say okay we’ve got TWO MORE to go. So, your second set of long Kegels is a total of SIX, not FIVE. I don’t mind; just thought you might want to know.
Hello, I've been doing Kegels on and off for years after prostrate surgery. I am thinking of doing the AUS operation but would rather avoid it. From your experience, can I be helped with the Kegels. My operation was about 10 years ago and I am in pretty good health.( 75 but exercise every day am still work. CPA) I would rather do serious Kegels than be operated on. Have you seen anybody like me recover? Thank you
@Robert Jackson nice to hear from you. I can really only say that there are many factors that depend on the likelihood of success with Kegels. It seems they are most effective in men with mild to moderate bladder leakage. Obviously, Kegel technique needs to be correct using muscles at the front along with sufficient Kegel exercise daily dosage, preferably performed standing upright. It may be worth seeing a Pelvic Floor Physio for assistance if you’re not 100% sure on your technique too. Wishing you all the best🙏
Quisiera preguntar si el ejercicio de levantamiento de Plancha, daña los músculos del Piso P. ? Consiste en empujar el peso hacia arriba en un ángulo de unos 45 grados.
Can you do too many of these meaning if I’m sitting at my desk or driving can contract repeatedly or is that too much and will cause more damage than good?
I also suggest doing squats, and squats holding weights in your hands. After prostate removal, I performed about a million kegels and remained incontinent. After two weeks of squats and other pelvic floor exercises, the water flow has finally turned off.
I see some people having problems with kegel exercises like involuntary contraction of the pelvic floor muscles, please tell us if there is such a risk associated with pelvic floor exercises or any other significant risks..
Who experienced blockage because of the prostata? And what happened after this? And are your kidney parameters going back to normal (BUN and creatinin)? I experienced a blockage and I was underwent to TURP before 3 months (May 2022). My BUN and creatinin-parameters worsened because of the blockage. Is somebody who experienced the same? Returned at you the BUN and creatinin value to normal? Or not more? Thank you for answering me. best greetings from Vienna.
Hi Michelle, I've had my prostate recently removed and I've started following your Kegel exercises. Thank you. Am I doing it right if my testicles lift up? This is the only visual cue I have. The penis shortening doesn't work for me so would you say I am still successful if I'm following the 'nuts to the guts' image? Thanks for your help and amazing information. :]
Hi Michelle. Just tried your standing exercise routine. I noticed that the short quick exercises cause me to leak slightly. Is this normal? And will it stop the more I do? Thanks
Michelle can these exercises be down port surgery? as I am having a few problems with holding enough urine in my bladder? I have watched a few of your videos before but this one seems simple to do and yes I have subbed to your channel. I also intend to see a local physio on the recommendation of my GP.
@Mark Eggleston There are many excellent Physiotherapists in Sydney. I’m not sure if you’re seeking a general physio or pelvic floor physio. The best way to find a physio in Sydney is to use the Australian Physiotherapy Association website ‘Find a Physio’ here choose.physio/find-a-physio
@RobertWeil-yh8kq Start with what you can manage comfortably focusing on correct technique - then increase length/duration of holds to 10 seconds in standing 6 times per day. This is correct training dose that the most recent research findings have shown to be most effective pre and post prostatectomy for overcoming bladder leakage. Hope this clarifies for you & all the best! 🙏
Thanks for the video Michelle! Should my bladder be empty before doing the workout? Should I avoid tightening my lower abs? Also, I'm having trouble isolating muscles in the front. Any tips?
hello Michelle, Thanks for your wonderful videos. I live in India and have been doing Kegel for the last four months, Do you recommend ANY OTHER EXERCISES to enhance the pelvic floor muscle exercises for long term? what would be the maximum number of Kegel exercises I can do per day?
I have been experiencing the same thing (at 2 weeks post surgery,) something I just started trying was doing these exercises after urinating while uncovered at the toilet, it seems to work well and keeps me dryer which should help with irritation. Just a thought. 😊
I leak a little when I do the kegels. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? I am having substantial leakage (6-7 pads) per day post RP surgery.
@Jodi White correct muscle function can be tested by seeing whether you can stop the flow of urine once started or expel the remaining urine having emptied. You should also be able to see the penis retract slightly and the testes lift towards your body when using the correct Kegel technique. If you find you can’t do these actions then it may be helpful to consult a pelvic floor physiotherapist for assistance. Wishing you all the best for your recovery!🙏
Brilliant, thank you, I am post radical prostatectomy and wish I had found this earlier, this is ideal and well explained and demonstrated 👍

Thank you 🙂
@@Wolfman1987Same with me. I had my surgery in May 2021 and I am still suffering from incontinence.

Yeah. Noticed the sixth long exercise😜 The routine is great though 😁😁

I am 1 month post radical prostatectomy and have no control even though i have been using the squeezy app. I have just found your videos and hope for success by following your exercises religiously.
Your not alone. We are going down the same road. All we can do is keep trying. Good luck.

Steve
Correction: perineum region, not peri-anal...
@cvgguy98 you're most welcome! Thank you, Steve, for sharing your experience and progress. I'm glad to hear that you're seeing some positive results and that you're noticing improvements in your ability to control your urine flow. Wishing you continued success on your recovery journey! 🙏
Hi Michelle,
Following a procedure of the bladder for retention and dripping have now been advised to limit the intake of fluids and confine the passage of urine to every 2 hours.

I hope you are getting rich, but if not, I hope you feel satisfaction for helping people all over the world. Thanks!
@Bill Hayes really my pleasure and thank you for your kindness and incredible generosity. Yes Bill you are iindeed correct in that when I hear from viewers like you that I've managed to help I feel greatest satisfaction. All the best to you Bill moving forward 🙏
Thank you, I do wish I had seen this before surgery. I think that the standing is more effective then sitting or laying

You are a lifesaver! I deeply appreciate your thoughts on the Kegel exercises. Peace.
@Miguel Delgado I'm touch beyond words. I'm just so glad to read this from you, thank you so much and best wishes to you! 🙏 💖
I would like to say: thank you. Unfortunately, I found your channel two weeks after the surgery. The urinary inconsistency is already established. But, there is always the possibility of look for health again. Thank you!

I sincerely hope this helps me after my prostate removal..I wasn’t advised to do any routines before my operation so feel miles behind in making progress.

Thank you Ms kenway for your support .it has really helped me and it makes a difference. Luis
@Luis Rivera my pleasure! So glad to read this! Thanks so much for the feedback, really happy this helped! ❤️
Michelle,
I did these exercises 5 weeks before my surgery and I have continued the exercises for 4 weeks after my catheter was removed. I am completely incontinent. I never have the feeling to urinate! Have you heard of this occurring with other patiences?

Hiya Michelle,
Thanks heaps for putting your videos out there to help people.
I'm 5 weeks out from non nerve sparing. robotic Prostatectomy, this video seems a bit nicer to follow than the new version you put up,
My pelvic health specialist has given me exercises to do, but standing in front of the video makes it easy.
Ive shared your video with my sexual health rehabilitation specialist too,
Cheers, Mike

It's great that you've been proactive in seeking guidance from a pelvic health specialist and sharing the video with your sexual health rehabilitation specialist. I wish you continued success in your recovery and improved pelvic health. 🙏 💖
Wish my Dr. would have told me this before my surgery.
Nice routine, thank you for the information and being the countdown coach...it helps.
@Mr. Kitty My pleasure indeed - thanks so much for your feedback and I'm so glad to hear this helps ❤️
Hi Michelle! Is it OK to do 3 or 4 sets of 10 kegels holding 10 secs each with rest in between on a daily basis or are rest days essential? Thx!
well explained. Thanks
I hope this plan can help me 🙏
Good job coach.
@Richard Kule you're amazing ❤️ thanks for the beautiful words, much appreciated. Hope this helps❤️
beautiful video
@@michellephysio Thank you, that's very helpful!
Merci!
@yvesvachon Thank you so very much for your kind donation, I really do appreciate this!❤️🌺
Thanks again for your videos Michelle!
I find it easier to do sitting down as mentioned in your other videos. Is there any difference ?
I found the verbal-only invitation to start each excercise difficult to follow (I wasn't clear when I should be contracting and when not). One the second set of fast contractions, you used a hand-gesture to indicate when we should be contracting and when to relax. I think it would have been good to use this hand-gesture consistently through all the excercises, from the start. That aside, a very useful video. Thanks.
Many thanks for the constructive feedback Bryan - will be sure to take this on board in future videos, cheers

I know!
I have your concern as well. It's scary I better take it easy.
Thank you for your informative video.

Any exercise will necessarily be messy what do you suggest - should I do the exercises naked or what else you suggest

Hi Michelle, unless I'm mistaken and I may be the second set of long hols you actually do 6 not 5???
Really impressed with the exercises. However, will they benefit those of us who have had our prostate zapped by Radio Therapy?
@Terence Gunner as you probably know, radiotherapy can affect the tissues in the pelvis. I’m not aware of research investigating exercises after radiotherapy however I don’t see that there’s any reason not to try Kegels to help regain bladder control and erectile function. Both in terms of improving flexibility and strength. If I can locate relevant research I’ll be sure to post. Wishing you all the best!🙏
@@michellephysio thank you for your message...I will continue with the exercises and let you know my progress.

CPA)
I would rather do serious Kegels than be operated on.
So this will help me stop my bladder from leaking?
@Charles Scinta yes these are the exercises to follow, all the best to you!
Thanks!

So how many days do I do this routine before upping reps? Then how many for how many days. Thanks

Nothing before to follow !
I exercise 40 min on day. Is that good?
Hi Michelle. Just tried your standing exercise routine. I noticed that the short quick exercises cause me to leak slightly. Is this normal? And will it stop the more I do? Thanks
Michelle can these exercises be down port surgery? as I am having a few problems with holding enough urine in my bladder? I have watched a few of your videos before but this one seems simple to do and yes I have subbed to your channel. I also intend to see a local physio on the recommendation of my GP.
Michelle do you have a physio you could recommend in Sydney.
In addition to bladder leakage, periodically my flow gradually slows down and stops. Then I have to catheterize myself. Should I use these exercises ?
Some of your prostratectomy recovery videos say 10 second holds while another says 5 second hold. Which is best?
I try to void my bladder prior to workout, but find that I still leak with the relax phase . Is this common? I’m 9 days post op
