Ok well looks like some work still needs to be done to get this to work on a plane. .lol. They'll have to rely on the lidar sensor and visual cues to get that to work, and forget about inertial tracking, vbecause that will mess it up. Can't wait to see what they'll come up with (if anything)!
Please make a video about tracking in 360. I'm having trouble tracking moving objects within video I've shot with my 360 cam to reframed video. I'd like these objects to be centered and scaled without the tedious work of keyframing practically every frame. I use DaVinci Resolve Studio and I've tried both KartaVR and Reframe360. When I put Planar Tracker points on my MediaIn node, they also show up on the reframe node and as soon as my object moves out of frame, tracking stops. I've seen many tutorial videos about tracking in framed video, but none in 360.
It’s crazy how Marketing affects us. I mean basically this is VR. But well paid Apple marketing found reasons where it can be used. Not by default or function (remember Apple had to make changes to travel mode for plane). And now whole world wants to try using on plane like a fantasy. Or like it was built for it. And still it doesn’t work flawlessly. We are so controlled by advertisements. Nevertheless, good realistic video
Lol right, also walking on it during the airport is useless, like he was just looking through the cameras, not doing anything else since it's clear he didn't have any windows open.
@@YessChacin True, I wonder how Apple is going to adjust or fix this issue. There certainly needs to be a compromise, like maybe a ("transparent") mode for moving on the go? Like where all the background of apps instead of having a light or dark mode are see through? That's a neat idea plus having generally content be "see-through-able". Those would be changes I think would have to be made, what do you think?
@@southerncyan4098 Meta has been working on fixing this problem for some time, Quest 3 also has this problem.. I'm curious to see if, and how quickly, it can be resolved.
3DoF mode on Meta Quest is the fix. Guilty I did not have any windows open like Casey - but crossing busy street in NYC with windows is also some bazz moves. I actually have my notes open thos for looking for my airline gates.
Hi Hugh! Great video, thanks for sharing. Does it connect to iPad Pro, or do you always have to use a MacBook for pass-through productivity? Thanks again.
You probably should just run the iPad app on the Vision Pro itself. You can pair a keyboard/mouse and do what you need. App developers have to block their iPad apps from running on vision pro. As more people get these, the pressure to unblock will be real for the developers who blocked.
my friend said people didn't want to sit next to him because they thought he was recording them on the plane. They made a huge fuss, and he explained that was not happening. I also saw a guy in the streets with this, and people got out of his way when they saw him, they thought he was crazy. 😂
This is highly likely now. I won't cross a street with my Vision Pro on like Casey in middle of NYC. If anywhere is safe, airport should be as I am not really moving but the plane is.
As a flight attendant I will be annoyed due to Flight Safety and serving passengers. Nobody is going to pay attention anymore and life in their own spatial computing. What starting with headphones, phones and know Vision Pro. Communication is key and not via VR. If someone doesn't pay attention to me while I want to serve I am just gonna walk away! So I hope you will learn something about the crew on board.
Thank you for pointing this out. I actually has a very present conversation with the crew members. They quickly know I can see them and hear them with passtho mode and it is just like my eyes / reading glasses. They actually serve me meals and provide me extra snack knowing that I can not go to a restaurant wearing that thing before getting on the plane. I am bias tho, JetBlue always is being great to me and the staffs are friendly and I respect what they do. It is a pretty empty flight, people who sit next to me just want their own windows seats.
No. It is Amazon. The reason is that the original is not shock proof. I don't want to waste $200 for that travel case that count as a luggage. So I use the to protect my AVP and just put it in my bagpack which is totally safe and fine. And I wear it go in with my regular luagge and carry-on - I am cheap!!
This is basically Apple pulling a Nintendo 3DS. The main issue no one talks about that makes this a failure- portability. Cameras and screens have been getting pocket sized for decades. Take that away and add…basically nothing. And it costs $3500? Enough money to buy a MacBook, iPhone and iPad combined m…much bigger than all 3 combined and does much less than basically any of those 3 and has 1/5the the battery. They might make their money back but it’s never going viral or reaching mass adoption. You could buy like 3 Samsung G9s and make a full circle of monitors around you for 3500😂 Great video Hou. You’re really the only trustworthy reviewer to me. Most info and least fluff and opinion you just tell us what the thing is/does. Great job sir
The only video that focus on the right problem of vr headset. All other videos are some stupid praises or talk about things that already have on any vr headset with passthrough mode. The travel mode in any vr headset is really a painful exprience...
I love that some of these early adopters are pushing the “social” envelope just test fringe use cases. I remember a similar situation with the first AirPods and even the Apple Watch. I’d say in a few years Vision Pro won’t be goggles but probably glasses and they will become ubiquitous and every other OEM will be copying Apple.
That is not original. The original one is NOT shockproof meaning you will need that super expensive, huge travel case that itself count as a carry on. This one is shockproof or said it on Amazon it does. So I can wear that thing as my glasses instead of carry on! Here is the link btw: amzn.to/3HMzXYr
If I had it, I would walk through the airport with it cocked to the side on my forehead like the rappers use to do back in the day just to troll people lol! Yes I’m old school guys.
It's odd that there is motion sickness for just watching videos. I have never ever feel any motion sickness when I watch video in VR. I think the motion sickness comes from something else, not from watching video. Probably from moving around.
The AVP has extreme motion blur thanks to the OLED pixel smearing, I guess that's why it happens. There's a reason why Meta kept LCD for the Quest 3. The headsets screen is great if you don't move or turn your head, so basically only made for watching TV and working. You can't see that motion blur on the capured videos, this is an issue of the screen itself and can only be seen with eyes. This will also never get fixed by Apple because it's a hardware problem.
You wont catch me putting a $3500 device on my head with limited vision in public. Shit some people would kill for that much money and they would take your head with them., Stay safe.
Traveling with an Apple Vision Pro out in the wild like this is just asking to get mugged. You’re now a x4 Value target for those looking for cash in these struggling financial times.
indeed. Inside LAX is pretty safe and airport is the most secure area to try it. If Casey can do it in New York City, inside airport security is pretty safe. No recommanded outside tho and you are absolutely right!

Ok well looks like some work still needs to be done to get this to work on a plane. .lol. They'll have to rely on the lidar sensor and visual cues to get that to work, and forget about inertial tracking, vbecause that will mess it up. Can't wait to see what they'll come up with (if anything)!
I am sure Apple will fix this next week.
I will wait a few years until its cheaper smaller and more refined before i make a purchase
Good choice!
Yes absolutely. It is in the works. There are some software bugs need to be patch to do that.
@@hughhou Thank you! It's good to know that there are bugs and that I'm not crazy.
Wow. Glad i havent purchased this thing. Way to go Apple.
We hope all these early bugs will go away soon with the next update. Stay tuned if there will be a fix!
I don't have an iPad so I don't know lol. But I will test next with my friends.
@@hughhou Many thanks Hugh, much appreciated!
You probably should just run the iPad app on the Vision Pro itself. You can pair a keyboard/mouse and do what you need. App developers have to block their iPad apps from running on vision pro. As more people get these, the pressure to unblock will be real for the developers who blocked.
@@ruzaroosthanks for this. I guess we will have to see how it works out. Perhaps a Mac mini will also work, using the VP as a ‘monitor’.
my friend said people didn't want to sit next to him because they thought he was recording them on the plane. They made a huge fuss, and he explained that was not happening. I also saw a guy in the streets with this, and people got out of his way when they saw him, they thought he was crazy. 😂
Yes that can be a reason too!
In the very near future, I’ll be seeing so many people walking around with Vision Pro. Just like the movie, Ready Player One is here already. How sad!
This is highly likely now. I won't cross a street with my Vision Pro on like Casey in middle of NYC. If anywhere is safe, airport should be as I am not really moving but the plane is.
lmao, I love this review. You ended up getting a whole row to your self!
Thank you!!
🤣 You are one crazy guy Hugh 🤣
Lol! Indeed :)
Hi Hugh, can Vision Pro play VR180 video files streamed from a PC ? If so, how ?
Still working on it and will have a solution very very soon!
They need a stabilizer to watch movies, giving me heading! Lol
The 360 environment is basically that.
awesome
Thank you!!
Question: Is that orange lens cover available at the Apple Store? It looked pretty sweet!!
It is here btw: amzn.to/3HMzXYr
This is basically Apple pulling a Nintendo 3DS. The main issue no one talks about that makes this a failure- portability. Cameras and screens have been getting pocket sized for decades. Take that away and add…basically nothing. And it costs $3500? Enough money to buy a MacBook, iPhone and iPad combined m…much bigger than all 3 combined and does much less than basically any of those 3 and has 1/5the the battery.
They might make their money back but it’s never going viral or reaching mass adoption. You could buy like 3 Samsung G9s and make a full circle of monitors around you for 3500😂
Great video Hou. You’re really the only trustworthy reviewer to me. Most info and least fluff and opinion you just tell us what the thing is/does. Great job sir
Thank you for such an indepth feedback and love to see you here!
I need this level of no f**ks given in my life. Impressive.
Thank you!!
30wh is almost 10times the vision pro batery. It should run for 20+ hours
I hope so :) This is actually 100Wh.
trail blazer!
Thank you!!
Is it possible parachuting with this gear?
Yes! Remember to turn on Travel Mode!!
Just to clarify, I am joking lol.
The only video that focus on the right problem of vr headset. All other videos are some stupid praises or talk about things that already have on any vr headset with passthrough mode. The travel mode in any vr headset is really a painful exprience...
I am very very glad you think so!
Haha nice man! 😅
Glad you think so!!
Yes it is very true.
I'm suprised Apple is not utilizing a Machine Learning Model for detecting whether you are in a plane or not.
I hope they will. Apple AI just leaked so we will see.
there is a picture of a guy driving a cybertruck with one of these on and working on something
Oh yes just saw it on TikTok - so funny! Not recommanded!
Apple can make anything socially acceptable
Yes if anyone, Apple def is the one.
Very nice beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
Think you!!
Is there a way to upload Insta360 Pro 2 content to Apple Vision Pro?
Not yet but we are actively researching how. Will have an answer very soon I promise!
@@hughhou Thanks for replying so quickly. Do you think the Insta360 Pro 2’s resolution is close to the Vision Pro demos?
Dude seeing other youtubers saying product is for travel only, dude has taken it seriously 😂
Yes. UA-cam review vs reality :)
“WeIrDo!” 😂
Yes!
Don't forget the parachute when wearing these glasses.
Lol!
What’s that orange lens cover at the 9:15 mark? The one that comes with it is gray…
Black Mirror is there
So true!
Link to your power bank?
I will put in on the description now. amzn.to/3Utag6J
@hughhou do you have a link to the power bank you’re using in this video?
Yes! amzn.to/3Utag6J
If I had it, I would walk through the airport with it cocked to the side on my forehead like the rappers use to do back in the day just to troll people lol! Yes I’m old school guys.
I might try that next lol.
Great video! How was your face after that?
Still there lol.
Oh good to know. I don't even know that is the reason! But yes, I do feel sick.
I wonder if it's possible to fly like this with Meta Quest 3? What will fellow travelers say? 🤔
meta is developing a travel mode for quest 3.
You can turn on 3DoF mode for travel on plane. I do it all the time. Only just make a video on Vision Pro b/c it is fun.
You wont catch me putting a $3500 device on my head with limited vision in public. Shit some people would kill for that much money and they would take your head with them., Stay safe.
Thank you! I need to be careful for sure!
Cool 😎
Thank you!
new sub great video bro
Appreciate it
Traveling with an Apple Vision Pro out in the wild like this is just asking to get mugged. You’re now a x4 Value target for those looking for cash in these struggling financial times.
indeed. Inside LAX is pretty safe and airport is the most secure area to try it. If Casey can do it in New York City, inside airport security is pretty safe. No recommanded outside tho and you are absolutely right!

Jejejjj awesome 😎
Glad you liked it
Goodluck now apple has a measurement of your tools😂
Oh noooooooo....
The ad I’ve seen made it seem like this would be a breeze to just bring on the plane and watch flicks with - however - after seeing this, looks WAY too complicated and not worth it as you have to do so much just to even enjoy the movie in a mediocre way.
Yes. Ads vs. Reality. I hope Apple can fix all these in upcoming firmware release and they usual do.
Jajaja y será un short fly because the. Battery is a piece shift like always
Don't need bring travel but stay home play on VR.
This is just for fun.
@@hughhou not fun but Apple VR for workstation, tech internet, movie at home.. And Meta Quest play games separate different.. you dont understand and some people not understand.
