  • This fly tying video shows how to tie, at great streamer - for iceland trout. This fly could also be used for trout and seatrout, and is therefore a great all round trout pattern!
Here you will see how all you need to tie the fly and if you click the link below here you will find the full material list:

I bought some Ahrex hooks on your recommendation. I think that they look good and have microbarb. I usually crush the barbs but some of my orders want microbarbs and they are difficult to find in Maine U.S.A. I have watched this video several times and enjoy it very much. All the best with your new shop. If I can't find something I need here, rest assured I will order from you. I have always been extremely pleased with the supplies you have sent. Sean

Great looking fly. Those fish were just beautiful. I would give a lot to catch a fish like that. I better be willing because Iceland is a long way from Maine, USA. Thanks for the video, I was excited just watching the two of you have bites at the same time! All the best, Sean

Daniel!!!!!!!!!!! This has to be the most artistic, informative, awe inspiring, videography I've seen from anyone! Beautiful fly, scenery, editing and you're very entertaining and sincere. The scene as you tied the collar then cutting to those seed tops blowing in the breeze, mimicking how the hackle & rabbit would flow, was brilliant! The music was perfect, really set the mood and gave a dreamlike quality to the video. Did you get new equipment? The tying sequences were crystal. Now comes the million dollar question, did you fish the eye on the bottom foam Beatle like you said in that cutter video? I've been waiting for a month! In any case, with the success of that zonker I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. That mylar tubing was cool, I imagine the orange marabou butts glowed through when it's in the water. The profile of the pattern was fantastic, almost like a scandi tube, if that's what they're called. I'm definitely going to tie that and adapt it to my jigs for spin fishing. Kudos Daniel, and thank you!

Don't you find that using superglue on the eyes causes them to 'cloud' over thus lose their reflectiveness?
