This is one of my favorite episodes because it places us in the cultural context of the Mexico that you are traversing in your little boat. I love your videos which are so personal. Even though your not sailing, you’ve given me a glimpse of a wonderful world.

We love how you show the real town. We might want to live there someday. Our 6-year-old girl loved the festival footage.

Since almost three years ago I visited for the first time Puerto San Carlos, because my fiancé lives there, I was born and live in Mexico City and I met my fiancé in Vancouver as you can see I’m use to live in big cities and I was concerned about living in San Carlos because for me is so tiny compared to Mexico city but really San Carlos took my heart and has become my home. i’m about to moving there in few months and I cannot be happier

It's cool that you gave us a look at the life of the locals ashore. Not many sailing channels do that.

So much to show and it is hard to cover it all and not get sidetracked, we think this was needed and it is good to hear you enjoyed it.

A truly fascinating set of interviews. I don't speak (more than 50 words of) Spanish but I think I get a sense of what was said. Very important topics discussed. Well done.

This has been your best episode yet! You’ve set the bar. This episode will help aspiring cruisers understand the importance of connecting. This was immersive and empathetic. You just shifted gears from your story to the story in which you find yourselves. More of this, please. If you continue to document your connection like this, the sky’s the limit.
I really need to freshen up my Spanish language skills. Thanks for the inspiration.

Stayed in San Carlos for a couple of weeks in 1979. On a sail boat waiting for the hurricane season to finish before heading south. Great town very small the port caption would bring us the weather report . Before Sat nav and weather stations an old teletype print out.

Stock up on the best, largest (3 to a kilo) blue crabs I've ever seen or heard of... That is if they haven't been fished out by now. I'm surprised and heartened by your love for this very out of the way destination.

We swung through San Carlos aboard sv Concordia on Dec. 30 and 31, 3017. Great location to clear into Mexico, btw. We met George - who he said was just one of five in the town who spoke fluent English (he professed to helping you out during the dingy caper). Nice guy, though your interviews tend to show there are more than five. We weren’t there long enough to gather your appreciation of the town you have. However, we befriended Guerro, one of two taxi drivers on the sign at the dock. He became our “fixer” when we found a leak on the hose leaving the raw water pump and talked the owner of the hardware store to reopen on New Year’s Day. Felt bad I only needed $10 of material, but we spent enough there the prior day. It was a great example of a caring community. Fair winds. PS - Perplexed why you’re headed north after mentioning ground tackle for southern ports.

Large tuna boats navigate past San Carlos to Puerto Lopez Mateos, but the bar exits north would be a bad idea for you .

I've loved your videos but finally I just have to ask - Sailing in this same area in one country for so long even now going back to the same towns and places again.
Do you want to or plan to visit other lands down the coast thru central America, cross the Pacific or thru the canal to the Carribean. What are your future plans please. Thanks

you people will stop at nothing.....
cool vid, nice town, love the excited puppy! but seriously....if you're gonna let people disappear, don't show them in your videos?! that's the most basic mafia 101...
