Please help. At start up my tv turns on and off for around 20 mins then turns on. Gotta leave on the rest of the day if we want to watch. What can the issue be. Power surges?

At the end all LED must be working? Or TV will work if some of them are dead? I found this 55 LG TV on dumpster and 37 out of the 55 are dead and lights are blinking just like your video
Hi Big dog, I did everything exactly as you said, it worked, then I putted the LCD on top to test everything before to assemble and it worked just fine, felt like "work is done". But after assembling (and I tried to be so careful specially with the LCD), the image is messed up, there is a white strip going from side to side and the LG logo is repeated all over like a shadow, then little by little the whole screen is turning into black. What you think is it? Visually the LCD look great, I don't think it's it
I have an LG 65" LED tv. Occasionally it reboots itself over and over again. Not screen flickering but a reboot as if you were turning it on and off. Some nights it reboots itself like 50 times in a row every few minutes, sometimes it doesn't happen at all for as long as a week or two. Any guidance on where to start testing or replacing? Thx
great video as always, how do you deal with individual replaced diode that are brighter than the rest diodes? thanks. A dimmer led is not that noticeable, but it seems a brighter one will be easily spotted when you have the screen back on. Thanks!
If I'm having this problem with the tv after the first 2 weeks of purchase would I better off returning it and swapping it out for another one cause I'd rather not take my tv apart.
Also when testing just put the probes in series with the leds rather than removing the connectors, I use an adjustable power supply at a set limit. Also best to change any that look a blueish colour they normally start flicking at lower backlight levels.
superb video, sir. As far as the LED tester goes, can't I just apply a DC voltage at the test points on the strips and test that way? If so, do you know the voltage?
@@MarcyzPlayground thank you - I had a dc power supply and was able to test the individual leds and the strips as a whole. Worked pretty well. Found at least one bad led. Can’t believe they’re in series like cheap Christmas tree lights.
I’m getting more and more that have had a lens avalanche top lens has dropped off hit the next one down and so on grrr I hate them lenses lol I don’t think I have ever had an LG set with just one led gone bad, oh and the odd fire how that happens is beyond me lol Keep up the good work 👍

I bought the back-light strips off of ebay, insalled them myself, and got the tv to work. This video helped me a lot. Thank you.

Replace all led strips
you didnt show how to change the LED strips, or did I miss that part?
I made an H-frame out of wood and attached 4 smaller suction cups to it. More secure and no risk of damage.

probably not, just make sure that the led cover is centered on the led and it should be fine.

My lg tv comes on perfe t perfect pi there then few mins later it flickers would that be back light
Where did you order those suction cups?
I think I bought those at Home Depot. Their actually made for holding and picking up glass. So u have to find that section in Home Depot.

Yes I can use a multimeter.. on DC voltage ground it to the chassis and proceed to test it
