Not just this, but they’re one less vehicle you as a car have to wait behind. Edit: i meant to say lane “filtering” not splitting.

Sometimes the problem is it’s more complicated than that. Anytime one decides to ride a motorcycle. It’s always going to be dangerous. When it comes to lane splitting or just filtering forward at a stop it is a hit and miss. It’s always dangerous no matter how you look at it. It’s always one giant death trap. Although in some cases that can actually be safer to go to the front then to stay behind the car considering one can end up getting rear ended. It’s a pretty strange truth, but sometimes the truth, despite being debatable, depending on circumstances, can be stranger than even something fictional. When it comes to ride a motorcycle, here’s what I would suggest looking at it like this that one can never be too careful when it comes to riding a motorcycle on the streets. A motorcycle is not a car and they were never design to mix with cars, nor where they designed to be the safest around vehicles that have stuff around them. The last thing one would really want to have happen is one ending up on the ground to going into an ambulance.

I don’t think how stupid it is for a distracted driver not paying attention and then rear ending a motorcyclist and seriously hurting them, that’s why we filter up the line of traffic. As a motorcyclist myself why would take up a whole car length and wait another 3-5 seconds for the car ahead to move up so I can have a safe stopping distance? It’s just better if the bike is up at the front. Your 3,500lb is cager is going to be slower than my 380lb bike.
It helps prevent the bike from being smashed between two cars when someone coming up from behind doesn't see them and it reduces traffic too. What is the problem?
Lane filtering is pretty safe (filtering is when traffic is stopped), the only danger with lane splitting which is when you you go in between cars in moving traffic is if people decide to switch lanes. What hes doing in the video is safe since traffic isnt moving.
Lane splitting is used to keep distracted drivers, (i.e. stupid people posting videos online when they should be driving) from sandwhiching an innocent motorcyclist when they fail to see that evwryone is stopped. A simple fender bender to a passenger car is not injuring the occupants. That same fender bender with a motorcycle is potentialy fatal. It's amazing how many people don't see motorcycles when it is extremely vital to, yet see them all too clear when they are doing something that irks someone. Remember, distracted drivers are largely the reason why motorcycling is dangerous.
It's actually safer then being in a lane because I don't know about y'all but I don't wanna be stuck between two bumpers and on top of that we can speed up faster then 90% of y'all's cars and can merge in safely
Lane splitting is not dangerous if done correctly. The idiots that lane split at 170 are beyond stupid. They make the rest of us look bad. Those that only travel 10-15 over traffic are quite safe get hit less than getting hit from behind by someone on their dan phone.
The guy recording is implying he's stupid without saying he's stupid lmfao lane splitting is safer it's been proven already. But then again only a stupid person would look at proof and deny it, just like in this video oh my goodness the danger the cyclist in, he was so close to getting run over 😂😂😂
Anybody caught doing this in a state where it is illegal or a situation where it is dangerous should automatically lose their motorcycle endorsement for the entirety of their life.
Lane splitting has been a way of life in CA without any issues. And people in other countries do it constantly. It’s a very efficient and effecting way to mitigate traffic.
Biker has over 3 feet free room on both sides and accelerates out of the way of other trafic faster than any car would. All this videos shows is lane splitting best practice. The person posting this video meant it as an insult but instead it just comes across as a training video for how and why you should lane split.
Lane filter ( skipping to the front of the stop light) not splitting prevents rear end collisions and ease traffic. Bikes take off faster than cars, unless you have a Tesla model S. It's literally a win win.
No, as a biker and have had a few friends get seriously injured from not lane splitting and dumbasses in cars ramming the back of the bike fast is more stupid
positioned himself at the light so that he couldn't get rear-ended. Then took off faster than the surrounding cars. looks good to me and certainly safer than waiting to get waffled by a snapchatting driver.
Lane splitting is way safer and is legal in a lot of places because its proven so. Just because youre jealous you cant do it in your cage doesnt mean you need to get upset
READ: Motorcycles, like many things have many benefits and drawbacks. Benefits are that they are fun, cheap, and useful. Drawbacks are they have to cooperate in an environment of drivers who aren’t seeing them. Having fun while being safe is paramount. Lane filtering or “white-lining” at stop lights is legal in many states because less motorcyclists are harmed by drivers not paying attention to them. So don’t get mad as if they’re “cutting in line” instead be glad that another person is able to make it home safely. Fair?
100% 😂 you probably come up with stories that it is dangerous or your uncle's toenail died because of it or your wife doesn't allow it, you are just a sour plum who is jealous of it 😂😂😂 just stay in your car big boy
Lane filtering is legal in Arizona. Lane splitting is not and this video is not a lane split it is lane filtering. It is meant to protect the rider from rear end collisions.

Just wait until the increase in accidents due to lane splitting and then law makers will make it illegal once again.

highly doubtful, want some case studies

Lanesplitting is both legal (in some states) and much safer than stopping behind another car (in all states)
Lane filter ( skipping to the front of the stop light) not splitting prevents rear end collisions and ease traffic. Bikes take off faster than cars, unless you have a Tesla model S. It's literally a win win.

Motorcycles, like many things have many benefits and drawbacks. Fair?
