- As a result of a likely payoff to editor Bill Apter (who needed the money to pay for his daughter's braces...even though she was in her 20s), Pro Wrestling Illustrated inexplicably named manager Scott Bowden the No. 8 contender in its much-ballyhooed OFFICIAL RATINGS. RIP Scott - way too young
Scott Bowden was so good. This piece in particular was terrific. it reminds me of how good wrestling used to be.
"You don't get some newsletter from some idiot out in California." - Take that Meltzer!
They in fact wait by the phone for days for his return Call. He forgot to mention that.
Folks do you realize, they both left us. 😢
Scott Bowden could never be mistaken for a varsity athlete.
Scott Bowden is great on the mic. I like his Kentucky Fried Rasslin' column too.
We ilove you uswa
so great, him and lance worked well off each other, love the mention of pro wrestling illustrated on tv lets see mcmahon do that, he always acted like they didnt even exist every other promotion mentioned each other but he never did, cuz he was scared of competition!!
I love Kentucky fried rasslin
Fuckin Scott Bowden.... 😂😂
Funny. Scott Bowden was a combination of Jim Cornette and Jimmy Hart. "Number 8, baby. Look at it; #8!" That had Jimmy Hart written all over it.
Wish he would have broke in during the late 80's......js
LOL... Scott Bowden for president!!
