I'm a subscriber too. But most people nowadays don't have the time or attention span to listen to a 40, 50 minutes, much less an hour or so video...Misha's videos are too long....
The king videos are his thing for all the history and details. He wouldn’t be Mishaco without this style. He needs to find other platforms to attract people.
@LarryWasupsky or divide them into shorter segments. He has to adapt, especially so with his recent plea for financial help for his Chanel...I think this would definitely attract more subscribers coz lots of people won't even click to watch if they see a 40 minute or longer video.
For years, I’ve turned to your channel for advice and in-site on the ak platform and have accumulated a significant import collection, not to mention the Swiss treasures. Just wanted ya to know I appreciate all you’ve done and looking forward to all you will do! You’re a class act buddy and UA-cam wouldn’t be the same without ya!

If Trump wants to give gun owners a W he should make parts kit importation great again. All of that is administrative rules he can override as chief executive
Trump could let us buy from China , with parts kits just not that many left as most friendly governments have already sold parts kits for 30- 100 dollars a long time ago. Milspec ARs are cheaper to produce than milspec AKs now as with ARs you can do it with small very small shops and minimal hand fitting to make an AK you need a big factory line with alot of milled steel parts and hand fitting to make it somewhat at a cost efficient price like say Kalashnikov concern can. I don't think Norinco even makes type 56 AKs anymore, civilian company's do but they are kind of rough. Maybe they would if the US market was opened up. If you look at Chinese military aid and sales the most popular assault rifle sale is the Chinese version of the M4 with optics and Chinese made brass case 5.56x45 as Norinco knows they are cheaper to produce. The PLA was never a huge fan of the AK they treated it a little bit more like a a SMG and preferred the SKS for a little bit of range and accuracy it's why they made SKS rifles with ak style rotating bolts in select fire with 20 round mags then AK mags until they finally went with the type 81 then went to 5.8x42 They made and still use a very cool mini AK that's chambered in 7.62x25 with a rotating bolt and short stroke gas system that's pretty accurate.
@@alexander1902 Really we don't even need to speculate. He was president for 4 years before. That gives us a pretty good baseline for things he will and won't do this next go-round.

Your awesome Misha. Thank you for what you do! Its hard times right now. Just know that you have a huge following and are a good man. Hang in there brother. Thank you!
For me the journey was: Izsmash Saiga 7.62, Vepr12, Century C39 (to my detriment and forever shame), DDI 7.62, Izsmash Saiga 7.62, Vepr7.62, Zastava M92, M70, M77, and I'm never going back. Zastava (now that it has an aftermarket) is peak AK for me. Saiga's are so mid and boring by comparison now imo. Thanks for the vid! It is indeed a journey.

GREAT video. I have a bunch of AK's, almost all imported, bought since the mid-80's. I plan on doing a deep dive on their history when I have lots more free time.
Misha, love your videos. My first AK was a Chinese spiker that I traded off at a gun show because I got it in my head that only the milled guns were worth keeping. It was an early one too. Live and learn.
I really appreciate your work, Misha. You have such a vast wealth of knowledge on the Kalashnikov platform, and have influenced some of my purchases… i.e. the Beryl. I think as fans of channels we sometimes take for granted what the creators do. We see an hour long video and don’t think much of the time or effort that the creator puts into it. Thanks for the quality content and the history lessons you bring along with it.
If you claim to like guns and you’re not subscribing to Misha, you faking it g. This man is a treasure trove of info on so many firearms and their histories. Get this man to 100k!
Very good video. I’ve followed you long before the UA-cam videos back in the AK files and AK forum days. My first AK was a Saiga (1999) was roughly converted. It had a 74 style brake welded to the barrel and no dimples in the receiver. I have since acquired 25-30 highly collectible AKs.
Been watching for like 6-7 years now and I've always appreciated your content. I'll try to make sure to always like, always comment, and support you on Patreon when I can! You're part of the reason I started my own channel tbh
My gateway to AK's was a Romanian G kit build way back when they were coming in with the original barrels. It was built on an old ArmoryUSA receiver, while functional, it pales in comparison to the excellent detail correct receivers we have available today. I'm debating if I should rebuild it someday on something like a Childers with a custom matching S/N to the trunnion, and correct Romanian selector markings.
I was intrigued by your mention of grad school. What did you study? Also, if one was interested in acquiring a VZ58 at this time which version would you get? Thx in advance. Dan
I remember when I first happened upon Forgotten Weapons perhaps a decade ago or more and my interest in military small arms was reignited. During those first couple of years I occasionally heard about this guy name Mishaco who was the UA-cam authority on AK’s. I assumed he was some Russian guy who was possibly nostalgic for Soviet times and was an expert on Com Bloc small arms of the Cold War or something. I finally found your channel only to discover you were not Russian but some American guy from the south that was so cool he wore his sunglasses indoors. I did get a boatload of AK related info from you but your knowledge is obviously broader than the Cold War Com Bloc loadout.

I got a Bulgarian Rpk 74 (parts kit rifle), built by two rivers arms in OKC, has the plum furniture and plum 45 round rpk mag. I thought it was interesting because the previous owner put one of those Maadi pistol grips that looks black from a distance but up close it has a glossy kind of navy blue tint on it. It has a war torn look to it as in the finish on the original military paint is very much worn away. I’m not sure if the rifle was built to look like that but it looks really really good.
Hey M, I have a low serial number SLR100 as marked on receiver, Intrac... but it has a 90 degree gas block. What's the story on these? Who built them? It doesn't have the typical Hungarian parts (like the vented gas tube). Thanks man!
