- This video is all about how to #watercolor rocks and #mountains. I will be using a credit card to scrape out rocks and textures in this rugid mountainscape scene. Although I'm not using any sort of reference photograph for this painting, my inspiration is coming from the lake district in Cumbria or even the landscapes that can be found in beautiful Scotland.
The materials I use in this video are Jacksons 140lb cold pressed paper and jacksons professional grade watercolors. I'm also using a butchers tray as my pallette. The hake brush and various sizes of squirrel mop brushes, a spritzer bottle and masking tape holding my paper to a board which is at abt 45° angle. This painting demo is perfect for beginners and also more experienced of watercolorists. Hope you find it useful, if so please drop me a comment and as always like the video and comments are welcome too. Happy painting!
Shall I do a video demo on painting rocks "scraping technique"?
What a great tutorial!
Thankyou Butter, appreciate it 👍
Thank you for sharing, i needed this video, thanks
Hey Dawn glad it helped, thanks for watching!
I simply love this mountain scene and the scraping is superb. I am flabbergasted
Thankyou very much, the scraping technique is really quite simple haven't you ever tried it. It's all about timing really. Do it after a few minutes when the paper is damp and not saturated
That's a great word "flabbergasted"
Amazing
Thankyou my friend!
