Hey luke I had the hype 4 and just sold it this week as I've got the tansio Marai 10th anniversary. Amazing sound. Keep up the good work I'm in uk too, up north
I wasn’t over impressed with the Sennheiser IE600 until I paired them with a chord mojo 2 and wow- I got totally immersed listening to Louis Armstrong, classical recordings, Lana Del Rey, Manu Chaco everything. The best audio pairing I”ve had that put my more expensive IEMs to shame.
I recently used mine with a ape dongle and that's already expanded the soundstage. Can't wait for my dac to arrive. Qudelix 5k.. Mojo is a serious piece of kit but I'm sure it's going to do a job on opening them up plus I'll EQ.
@@Bootrosgalione of the things I like about the chord is eq’ing can be done in a precise way and can be saved for different items (I haven’t tried that yet). As an example, I had the Truth Ear Hexas which I found a bit boring. The chord mojo 2 really showed what it was cable of. I had the Sennheiser ie600 - they were nice but a bit thin. With the Chord it wasn’t just the detail but the fullness and weight that emerged especially for complex classical pieces. And similarly for every IEM and headphones I had/have including 7hz zero, hifiman edition xs, …
Awesome review Luke and it is refreshing to see someone who is not totally blown away by the sennheisers. I am hoping to try out the hype4, but was interested to hear your comparisons against the cinco tres, so I hopped onto Amazon and they were doing a flash deal 50% off on checkout so I have just bagged a pair of them for £127. That has to be the bargain of the year and being Amazon if I don't like them they can go straight back. Keep up the great work. Have you considered the Thieaudio oracle mkiii? I know it has not made your list yet but if you get the chance I would be interested to see your comparison review between these iems you review on this post and the oracle's
I only listened to the Mk3 for 30 mins or so and it was a while ago. Going off memory they sound quite similar but I can't give an accurate comparison. Possibly a touch more emphasised separation on the Mk3.
Compared to Cincotres do you think the treble on Hype4 is more natural? Cincotres came off as quite shimmering to me, very dry and bright in clash, hihats which seemed very colored.
I'm not sure I would say natural but I would say the Hype 4 is smoother so deals with sharpness/harshness/sibilance a bit better. That's assuming that the Cincotres sets we have listened to was identical in sound, which may not be the case.
I only spent 20 minutes or so listening to the Monarch Mk III and that was a year ago. Not sure my audio memory is reliable enough to do a fair comparison but I find the Hype 4 more impressive.@@christofferaasted
@LandsPlanes Preference and better are two different things. It depends what you want and what you like. In terms of pure enjoyment/pleasure the Doscinco gives me a tad more than the Hype 4. If I want more musical/enjoyable I'll choose Dosinco. If I want more revealing/detailed/sparkle then I'll go with the Hype 4. Different flavours, that's all.
@Ethan-wc8mi I find them more enjoyable/warm. They have marginally better, maybe, bass but the Hype 4 is better in other areas so it is about preference.

How do the Hype 4 compare to the Monarch MK3 ?

@@PerputuallyCensored true, thats always a risk. Do you prefer the MK3 over the Hype4 or do you think they are almost interchangeable?

do you own all of these?! I have my mid-fi covered. I own the Doscincos, the Cincotres, the PULA PA02, and recently the Hype 4.
Yes
@@PerputuallyCensored Monarch MK II is the best endgame IEM? over Mega4 EST, or IO Volare? I appreciate your video review.
Do you have a dac recommendation for iems exclusively ? Thanks
I don't.
Hype 4 whit this azla tips sounding better?
Tips do not change sound for me, only fit. Use what fits you best & gets the best seal.
Why do you prefer doscinco over hype4 ? Thank you
More enjoyable, slightly better bass, I really like that tuning.
@@PerputuallyCensored whoa, I love the Doscincos also.
The ie600 is currently £499 at richer sounds etc
It’s also £399 at Elise Audio
@@PerputuallyCensoredhow reliable are they?
I've used them more than once and would recommend them. I purchased my Hype 4s from them.
Your the one who can't deal with it. Ie600 is top-drawer.
have you tried moondrop variations? its baby monarch mkii
No. Might do though. They look like they may be too large for my ear.
Cigarette paper 😂😂😂😂
