- Small break from all the F-15 and Su-27 memes for this video, as Gaijin has introduced the limited time "Christmas Chest" lootbox, with a chance to get some rare vehicles through gacha. In this video i will open 50 of these things with friends, costing me $228 USD (50,000 Golden Eagles), for YOUR personal entertainment.
Please dont buy these, im not responsible if you lose out on your savings.

Imma commit some major autism and calculate the GE in the screen at 21:59 to see if it was really worth spending 50.000GE. I will also remove the 50% off of this holidays if as we are in normal conditions but i will also apply the 50% at the end.
Starting with Premium days. 63 Days. Since it doesnt reach 90days. a 50% off isnt applied so the price shall remain unchanged. The total of this is -> 4370 GE
The roughfully 12M SL. The maximum purchaseable SL is 1.3M for 3K GE. You need to roughfully purchase this a total of 9.2 times. Which gives an approximate of 27692 GE
Now the talismans.
A13 Mk1 -> 190
SB2C-5 -> 980
Seafire LF MKIII -> 1400
SK60B -> 2000
Mi-35M -> 2700
Mirage 4000 -> 3200
This gives a total of 8670 GE
With the 50% off -> 4335 GE
Now boosters wich is a bit complicated. In War Thunder theres the Item shop that lets you buy boosters with GE which for nothing is overpriced
I will list the available purchases. And it wont be exactly accurate since i see 100% boosters which spoilers you cant buy. I will not count the booster that has no timer as those are collector items. The list goes by:
- 10-15% Boosters -> 99 GE
- 40% Boosters -> 250 GE
- 75% Boosters -> 499 GE
So to be fair i will be cointing all boosters above 75%. I will be cointing with the price of the 75%.
In between 75% and 30% i will be cointing the price for the 40%
and Bellow 30% will be the price of 10-15% GE
In the booster list
x12 Booster same or above 75%. Total of GE -> 5988
x7 Boosters between 74% and 31% Total of GE -> 1750
x41 Boosters same or bellow 30% Total of GE -> 4059
Which gives a total of 11797 GE
and lastly the premiums. Here 50% are aplicable

Z20 Karl Gaster -> 6090
RN Geniere -> 1150
Super Hellcat -> 6090
Type 75 MLRS (god tier premium) -> 8200

This gives a total of 55420 GE and this comes as being worth it already and we didnt even calculate all.
For 50% off in total 27710 GE
And we got everything now if we mix up in order. The premium time, SL, Talismans, Boosters and Premiums. Which in numbers would look like:
4370 + 27692 + 8670 + 11797 + 55420 giving us a total of 107.949 Worth of GE. the double pretty much. The profit would be 57949 GE
Also appliying the 50% to their respective numbers would be -> 75904 GE to spend to get whats in the video. The profit would be 25904 GE
Now if my math is right it should be about that. And to those that question my sanity. Keep asking about it

I think nobody ever got vehicle out of 14 day login chests. I personally opened quite a lot of them but best I got was 100 GE which is more useless than 1Milion SL
Yep, I'm at around 2000 days and haven't seen anything but SL and boosters. Oh and the occasional backup which is useless as an air Rb player.
@@BTechUnited Damn, 2000 days, I'm only 1/4 of the way. But rewards are also pretty underwhelming for logging in for 500 days in row. A lot other games give cool things for logging in for a month, but Gaijin gives you additional booster for 500 days Damm

That's funny, because i have more than 2800 days of login (got decal for 7 years veteran) and i NEVER got for this something other than boosters and backups. It's probably something like 0.1% chance of getting vehicle from crates for logins.
The funniest thing that i actually lost around 700 days of progress in 2016, but never skipped since than (well, now you can skip like 1 or 2 days before all of progress gets lost, back in the days there was no such option)
I opened one crate to see how many boosters I would get, instead I got the Challenger 2 OES and a Talisman on my Type 93. I was realy surprised.

They listed the drop chances on the website. 15% chance for premium vehicles. Than out of that 1-4 rank all have 20% drop chance. 5 has 10%. 6 has 7%. And 7 has 3%. Guaranteed premium every 14 crates

Literally got only a 100% RP booster for 3 battles. Well, there was also 1d of prem time and 120,000SL but those are guaranteed for every box. A 1000GE loot box shouldn't be possible to low roll this bad. Not trying my luck with a second one until the rates of all rewards get posted on reddit or something.

I usually never do loot crates in a game, but after watching this video and having about 20K GE in the bank from buying packs last week. I said F it. and got 11 of these boxes. In box 5 I received the Challenger 2 OES and in box 10 I received the Zheleznyakov light cruiser. Just those two alone are just short of $120 in GE. After roughly totaling all the SL, the two talismans I got, the premium vehicles and time etc.. If I had just purchased everything straight up in GE it would have cost me over $200. I ended up using around $50 worth of GE from premium vehicle packs instead. Although I had good luck most of my friends who tried their luck after seeing what I got did not fair so well. I would expect that to be the case for most as well.

I came back and I opened up 40 crates about 40k Golden Eagles. And I won 11 vehicles and nearly three quarters of a year of the account

Some of these vehicles (Skyblazers Sabre, Karl Galster, J-29D) are rare, removed premiums that you cant get even during sales now.

@@antimatter4733 I 100% agree with you, the gambling crates are not worth it unless you buy a large amount (like i did). If you are interested in the numbers, i did the math in a different comment and pinned it at the top for all to see. Turns out i actually made a profit lol.
@@DonutWithMustache in reality no one is going to pay full price for those, they went on 50% sale 3-4x per year when they were in the store. I got most of them like that. Same with premium account. Buying SL with GE also doesn't make sense, it's very easy to have 10-20 million in spare SL every year especially now with the SL changes it's almost impossible to be at a SL deficit.
In reality it only really makes sense if you're desperate to get a few missing vehicles, however for the average player it would make more sense to just buy a good premium vehicle and premium account on 50% sale and put talismans on whichever vehicles you actually want to use (also at 50% off)

As i said in the video, please dont gamble. I dont recommend doing this, and i only did it because 1. your (and other viewers) personal entertainment and 2. i got the GE for free from gaijin as a content creator. Just because i made a profit somehow doesnt mean im telling people to go gamble, quite the opposite in fact.
btw the "trash" Type 75 MARS is actually very good when you have skill. In some matches I get up to 6-7 kills with it

Opened a mil of the sl ones last night and the only thing I got that wasn’t a booster was a decal (40 packs)
i bougth around 200 crates of the normal one where you buy with sl and in the first i got the ags cupon and in the 20 i got a decal and in the last one i got a gun decal, this was my best crate opening ever
I got the Su-6 in my first crate and nothing in the second.

Appearantly it's not obvious enough so I will explain it.
When you get something it get's added to your inventory and then auto consumed.
You don't need to consume anything yourself, not even the SL.
Now use the sl on the snow man crates
That was 330 Euros worth of Ge

its not worth it in my experience but my advice if you must do it is to build up the amount required to buy the "key" and "crate" which is 60000 sl for one then you dont lose any of your sl that you have built up already.

No one that values their money spends GE to get SL, backups, orders, RP nor boosters -- CCs only do it because they get GE for free. You can get all 90 days premium plus all the premiums plus all the talismans for ~35k GE. 15k GE went into stuff no one would ever spend GE on. Chests are not worth it.@@MrWaffeGasty
