Its funny you made that analogy with the shotgun I have had that exact thought myself. Same with the deployment on my zt 562 as well, that sound and feel just remind me of chambering a round
Awesome! I have Halo VI Tanto part straight the rest full serrations....the most powerful deployment of a knife I've ever felt. I would suggest you press the deployment button and release quickly for it to reach its locking point. If that doesn't work, then use a microfiber cloth to wipe down the entire blade. You can then blow inside the handle with compressed air and be careful. Make sure the notch on the tip is very dry, (That half circle on the tip is met with another half circle peice of metal that meets together when closed, only thing that is keeping the powerful compressed blade from deploying) These do not need a lot of oil or lube.
I made a trade with a collector at a gun & knife show and traded a Benchmade Infidel & and an SOG Seal Pup for a Microtech Halo 6.... just got it and I love it , awesome knife and I love the speed of the blade, it's yet to misfire on me and the original owner said he only had a couple misfires, he soaked it opened it up and cleaned the shitout of it and oiled it up.... The fact that there's no guard to stop someone's sweaty hands from slipping up also kills the "tactical combat knife" thing for me. Cool toy for adults though. Love the aesthetics
I just bought a Halo VI and the new safety actually protrudes over the button boss. It keeps the button from depressing unintentionally and mine has Elmax blade. I've not had it misfire even one time. I paid $625 at my local shop so I feel I did pretty well. I did not realize how much titanium is used as I had never seen this microtech before I saw it in the shop case. I like it as much as my rare 2003 made Tachyon Desert came Microtech balisong in my collection. Thanks for the video. I believe since your video they addressed the issues and they must switch between M390 and Elmax though the difference between those steels are quite minimal. Elmax is USA made and M390 is from Europe as far as I know. I have both steels in many different knives they both perform very well. My example of this knife came with a nice kydex sheath with a nice quick release belt clip.
I love it when these guys make another Butterfly Knife or another Halo, they dip for a few years from both products and come out of nowhere then sell out right when you discover them.
It's funny you're having the same non-locking issues with the blade. I think I found a solution because it was happening with my Halo V I'm pretty sure you're supposed to completely depress the button all the way and hold it until the blade deploys then let go, try that.
I have two of these Halo VI’s, one is a Marfione Custom and they BOTH had issues with the safety dropping in the down position after firing. It’s so annoying and a huge flaw with these knives. That’s literally the only negative thing I have to say. I am thinking of sending them out to Microtech to just replace the safety button with a no safety one.
