When you build shells like a giant target load, that's what you'll get on paper. Shot cup/wads are a huge variable in performance. The struggle is real finding wads that work.
Yeah, it seems like Remington uses this same wad in a number of their shells. It does well with some of their buckshot loads, but they could probably do a little better with the turkey loads
I didn’t notice who made this comment until I had a thought about the video. But I was thinking that it looks like a giant target load. I did see these on sale for $7 yesterday at Walmart. They had one box left. They still have it.😂
I got a break out the wallet and buy some long beards for next season and give them a try at the patterning board. The problem is I just cooked up a 2 1/2 half ounce load for the 10 gauge that’ll smoke it no matter what. The lead pattern is as about as good as heavy shot patterns that I’ve seen across UA-cam. Still gotta buy me a box of number five 3 inch for the 12.
@@matttyreeoutdoors during the pandemic when I couldn't find 10 gauge shells I was going to buy some but the only thing I could find was the cheap Remington's...that were basically a a fifth of the price at the time. I've shit alot of birds with that cheap stuff. Most 10 to 20 yards max. Almost missed a few because my pattern didn't open up st close range. Even used 2 3/4" Winchester #4's for a season with great success. Was the only thing Walmart had that year. They were on clearance for $3
Dude I really wanna see this gun with the extended factory choke from Mossberg it's not the x factor the older extended choke is better as far as I'm concerned. Friend of mine had the xfactoe choke in his and hates it he can put my choke in his gun and it's a baseball at forty yards
No, we have not tested that combo yet. I don't have an Avian-X for the 835, so we won't be able to test the 3.5" shells through one at the moment, but we can definitely test the 3" shells through it out of the 11-87 and see what they do

Yeah, the LB shells are definitely the best lead load on the store shelf. They are definitely worth testing out

I have thought about getting one of those extended factory chokes, just haven't picked one up yet. I'll see what I can find and we'll test it out
Have you tried that load with the avion x choke?

😳It will kill. But good luck
Yeah, it would have been good enough, but still a bit disappointing
Not impressive for sure. If that's what you got hopefully you can get them in a little closer.
Yep, it would work, but it's definitely not quite what I'm looking for
