@juarezderrick9647 I think that was what kept 50 Beowulf from being chambered in bolt action rifles for straight wall states. It would have been the "king" of straight wall rounds, instead its no different then 458 socom. I remember when that rule change happened in Ohio, at the time both 450 bushmaster and 50 Beowulf were only chambered in AR 15 rifles. Now every gun company has a bolt action or single shot 450 bushmaster.
@brandiwynter I've thought about buying a 50 beowulf upper, but there are so many bolt action 450bm rifles I could get. And I already reload 450bm. So I think 50 beowulf will kinda die out for that reason.
I've now owned mine for years and hundreds of rounds (Hornady XTP 350 grain) which I load myself. Don't be daunted by recoil commentary. The recoil is exactly the same as a 12 gauge over/under shotgun. The muzzle blast is extraordinary. The compression from the muzzle blast is extraordinary (and yes, use a muzzle brake). The down-range effect is extraordinary. NOW ... its drawback is the point-of-aim versus point-of-impact (bullet drop). At 100 yards you can absolutely drive tacks. At 200 yards (with a 100 yard zero) the bullet drop is 11.5 inches with my ammunition. The good news ... it's 11.5" every single time. Whatever you hit ... it's on the ground and won't be getting up (short of a Cape Buffalo).

I had been told when it first came out that it was called the door knocker and was intended for the entry guy to use instead of a shotgun since it could not just do the same job, but gave him enough extra shots to deal with anyone waiting on the other side in addition to being able to penetrate furniture and other semi-hard cover. Not saying I'm right and you're wrong, just sharing an interesting other version. Always wanted a 50B as it's just a neat and unusual round.

You should do a comparison video with .50 Beowulf, 458 Socom, 8.6 Blackout and a few other calibers that are in the same size range and do test to see which one has the best penetration and a bunch of other different test so us viewers can get a real life experience and try to get them all in the AR platforms whether it's in AR-10 or AR-15 platforms and try to get them with the same barrel lengths to keep the rifles the most comparable
Velocity determines penetration when other variables are equal. Larger calibers typically penetrate less. 45ACP much less than 9mm. These big bore guns are very slow and don't penetrate steel worth a crap. Short of Lehigh Defense solid copper penetrator. which still goes through much less than say a tiny little 7mm Magnum FMJ.
we will need something to fight drones and androids, the fast ones will require something with high rate of fire /like 5-6 round bursts of the P90/ and for the slower moving tough ones something like this, or even tougher but more portable with a moderate operational kickbacks like the antimaterial rifles /.50 cal berret/ ....
My buddy has a SBR in 50beo with a 10.5" barrel....he had a brace on it for a short while but ended up SBR'ing it. The brace made it so uncomfortable to shoot.
Very odd question for ya. Are the fake bone fragments plastic or something biodegradable ? If the gel get moldy I can see it deteriorating over time but lets jump a head in time and a few land owners down the road. Finding bone type fragments everywhere in that area might turn into something interesting.
Super cool video. I saw it on Instagram this morning and have been wanting a 50 Beowulf all day. Will a regular AR lower work if I buy an upper? The magazine size looked about the same externally.
After hundreds of These videos with dummy skulls exploding, I’m finally not forced into picturing it in real life…usually. The green helps. I can’t even see red splashed in snow without reliving hell. I’m desensitizing myself one slow mo at a time.
Something that always amazes me in videos like this is the physics of bullets. They have so much power and sometimes they just bounce off the table because the angle is just right after it's made fruit salad
Bear creek arsenal makes a nice upper you need a heavier buffer your brass is slamming where the assist would be it would do 2 things i will slow your brass and lower your recoil
Does the beowolf bullet have any inaccuracy issues at long range? Seems like it could get unstable and may be a close quarters caliber for ultimate destruction.
Had mine out past 400 yards, that was with 350gr bullets. They were hitting about a 12" group using a red dot but dropping almost as fast as going forward at that point.
I have an AR in 50ae. It's really fun to shoot but the recoil is way too much for the ar platform. had to replace a couple of buffer tubes and changed everything to heavy duty billet metal
I think you mean 50 beowulf. 50 AE (action Express) is a totally different round and is a semi-automatic pistol round most known for being shot out of the desert eagle!
@@JuarezDerrick got a custom made at upper from a guy in Florida. Ya it's 50ae same as the desert eagle. only with a 16 inch heavy barrel sub moa at 80 yards
If I were to start making balistic gel blocks, and body parts for not even half the price balistics dummy lab charges would you buy them from me. I can even make it more realistic with fully functioning blood pumping system.

These big bore guns are very slow and don't penetrate steel worth a crap. Short of Lehigh Defense solid copper penetrator. which still goes through much less than say a tiny little 7mm Magnum FMJ.
Sorry for not subscribing before, I watch your videos all the time lmaoo
Daaang haha 😂. Better late than never!
That rifle has some serious bolt bounce. That has some serious energy on target.
Should be good at personal protection as it’s the same projectile as a 12 gauge sst sabot slug just going about 150gps slower at the muzzle.
we will need something to fight drones and androids, the fast ones will require something with high rate of fire /like 5-6 round bursts of the P90/ and for the slower moving tough ones something like this, or even tougher but more portable with a moderate operational kickbacks like the antimaterial rifles /.50 cal berret/ ....
Does it do anything to the steel targets?
My buddy has a SBR in 50beo with a 10.5" barrel....he had a brace on it for a short while but ended up SBR'ing it. The brace made it so uncomfortable to shoot.
Well, at least we know the dummy didn't suffer😂
Bear creek arsenal makes a lit of different .50 Beowulf uppers including side chargers and pistols.
I enjoyed the bone confetti.
Edit: I just got the the part where you compared the fragments to confetti. Great minds and all that.
Very odd question for ya.
Are the fake bone fragments plastic or something biodegradable ?
If the gel get moldy I can see it deteriorating over time but lets jump a head in time and a few land owners down the road. Finding bone type fragments everywhere in that area might turn into something interesting.
This is my favorite "I said, STOP!" rifle.
Super cool video. I saw it on Instagram this morning and have been wanting a 50 Beowulf all day. Will a regular AR lower work if I buy an upper? The magazine size looked about the same externally.
It is designed to work on a standard AR15 lower.
Standard lower and mags. There are some magazines made for 50 Beo, but I've never had a problem using standard steel mags.
Nice job keeping it down and staying on target.
How is the 50 Beowulf compared to say a 45-70 Gov?
About 70% as powerful
After hundreds of These videos with dummy skulls exploding, I’m finally not forced into picturing it in real life…usually. The green helps. I can’t even see red splashed in snow without reliving hell. I’m desensitizing myself one slow mo at a time.
Some of those really are tough to watch. The Garand Thumb videos with the really high quality slow motion especially.
i got ptsd too, it sucks
Welcome to the new year, 50 Beowulf
Bear Creek Arsenal makes some decent budget options for the .50 Beowolf. I don't have anything in the .50 but I have one of their .350 legend uppers.
My wife is going to KILL ME! I'm so tempted to purchase a .50 beowulf upper, right now!!!! 😂😂
Great show!
The 500 AUTOMAX by Big Horn Armory is even bigger!
475 BISHOP is bigger and more powerful than 500 Auto Max
I have a Bear Creek complete 10.5 inch pistol upper but can't find nor afford to shoot it
What hunting scope would you suggest for this
Something that always amazes me in videos like this is the physics of bullets. They have so much power and sometimes they just bounce off the table because the angle is just right after it's made fruit salad
Bear creek arsenal makes a nice upper you need a heavier buffer your brass is slamming where the assist would be it would do 2 things i will slow your brass and lower your recoil
So it's safe to say, if there were such things as zombies, this would be at least one preferred option.
Also hard to find rounds for they just recently starred making more Underwood ammo And I believe horndy
This has got to be the best weapon against dinosaurs if i've ever seen one.
What's the .50 Beowulf actually used for nowadays? I'm not being facetious btw, i'm curious because i genuinely don't know
You turned that ballistic dummy head into a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.
Does the beowolf bullet have any inaccuracy issues at long range? Seems like it could get unstable and may be a close quarters caliber for ultimate destruction.
Same question
Had mine out past 400 yards, that was with 350gr bullets. They were hitting about a 12" group using a red dot but dropping almost as fast as going forward at that point.
@@davidl416 Well that's still pretty decent. Probably becoming completely ineffective after that range if thats the case. Thanks for the info!
That slow-mo was so glorious that it broke the UA-cam compression algorithm 😂
*@**6:07** Watch this part at .25 speed!*
This any the 375 socom are the best ar cartridges in terms of energy at closeish range
.50 Brain Yeeter! Cool vid! Neat rifle/optic combo. You must have cool, twisted friends!
@@carlredbird3054 damn no shit that's bad ass
How is .50AE too much for a rifle when it is usually shot from a handgun?
@@madride858585 I think because it is a pistol round and pistol powder Burns a lot faster so it's going to have more energy than say a 50 Beowulf
Yes sir. Beautiful
If I were to start making balistic gel blocks, and body parts for not even half the price balistics dummy lab charges would you buy them from me. I can even make it more realistic with fully functioning blood pumping system.
I think the .500 automax is a little bit more stronger than the .50 beowulf but that thing is a beast
Im not familiar with this caliber upper, im sure it requires a different magazine follower but does it require a different bolt? Carrier? Both? Thanks for any information
What state
are you in? Looks cold . Good video and thank you much. 😅
We have a bunch of snow here in Arkansas after yesterday, but the day before I was out doing yard work in a T-shirt comfortably. Gotta love southern weather, especially after spending most of my life in Canada dealing with winters there.
Dat bolt bounce doh
Yeah it makes for a good barricade or Checkpoint rifle.
That was awesome 💯
This round is a beast and my favorite but expensive as hell to shoot not as expensive as 12.7 by 99 but uhh....you know
