Yes. I was very surprised this wasn't talked about. I think I heard somewhere that it is a relatively new engraving and therefore many bards don't want to re-gear for it because it would be too pricey.
I guess if your on swiftness bard u spam enough shields to care about the size of the shield, and desperate salvation + expert is prob overkill on the heal
Coming a bit late but once I added Expert to my 3 Salvation/Awakening/Heavy Armor it became way more viable to use normal shields for incoming heavy damage instead of hoping that awakening is up. Also one-bar heal is stronger especially on swiftness bard that can be helpful. Would recommend.

God, I wish all of the people on Una would stop trying to convince me that Expert and Vital hit point are higher priority for 3rd engraving vs heavy armor. I was 2/2 on my 1340 bard alt DS/Awake and I was so squish. Random chip damage would chunk me the fuck out. I put heavy armor 1 on and I feel tankier than my 1415 Paladin without heavy armor. And i never die on my Paly in current

i main palladin support but never really clicked with bard.. mainly coz of the bubble management and not having additional dash to better position. i will give her another try. oh also palladin got free panacia potion for entire team with his shield which is super nice in most raids atleast in western release content.
Tbh, in EUNA servers the mana is such a hurdle, people are switching to 1:1 swiftness/specialization builds and endurance is not bad either. Our T3 gems are also extremely expensive, so we have no hope of getting lvl10 CD gem for Sound Shock. Our best equipment is legendary grade and we cant have 1500 switness + 700 specialization
Is your friend using Focus or Galewind runes for Heavenly Tune and Guardian Tune? And where would you prioritize skill points after getting all to 10 at 384 (so which to prioritize lvl 11 and or 12 on)?
it would be nice when you get his skills choice and tripot what he use for specific raids. in a extra list. so that we can see what we should use in his opinion. To play a better Bard. What we should swap for this Legion or T5-T6 Guardian raid. For me I think i use a few wrong tripot skills.

first 3 engravings are awakening, heavy armor, and desperate salvation. then the 4th and 5th engraving u can choose between vital point hit / expert / drops of ether / Max MP increase. (right now in our version of the game, having 3 engraving is good enough) depends on u. are u willing to pay extra gold for the 4th engraving?
can i use the dps bard relic set for a regular support build bonus points if i can also pick explosive expert and vital point hit and get mvp in all 4 categories on a more serious side: it is much cheaper to build spec bard on eu, can you please make a video how good spec bard is and how swiftness bard is trash, i really can't afford the swiftness gear otherwise

If the boss jumps around too much or has many spawns (Yoho Fox for example, many of the fox ladies). Your 10% mark will miss most of the times. Why not sound shock + harp at the same time? Heaveny tune + Harp, after 8s drop Sonic Vibration + Sound Shock.

If you have a group with a voice chat you can make drops of ether work since you can easily tell them to pick them up. In a pub group though probs better to go with something that just works regardless. I also use harp mostly, but sound shock is indeed the way to go with bosses that have adds. Just switch them as needed. Harp is more convinient as it allows you to focus more on the other stuff, but defo need to work on getting the cd down more.

nah HA is better for bard cuz we are more tanky then we dont need to be more cautious. We can stick with melee class closer for better shielding, and sticking closer to the boss also more indentity gauge gained. 1 bubble heal is so massive already we dont really need expert. Expert is for paladin. Also paladin has higher VIT rating (More armor for the same ammount of VIT - less dependant on Heavy Armor).

New bard here. Do you recommend splitting your base stats between spec 50%/ swift 50% or more swift than spec? Tyvm!
Don't go half and half either lean hard into one or the other
swift and spec on necklace then swift on everything else

I would assume Attack Power reduction is the easiest one to get away with since supports aren't really contributing substantial personal damage.
Defense Reduction since the HA cancels it out

Yep seems to me that spec bard is just better right now. Can just transition to swift when relic gear is available.

That yellow circle denotes the aoe buff effect of a relic set that you obtain later on in the game if I recall correctly
