    For a Cop she didn't recognize she was a person of interest. I'm former police officer I would have stopped talking and said Lawyer even if I didn't do anything. There's plenty of innocent people who talked themselves right into prison. Being innocent is no protection from prosecution.

      As a former cop you would know in house denial of integrity by refusing to talk by requesting a lawyer will give you a stand down period if they have a law enforcement officer in the interrogation room the prosecutor isn't guessing you'd know yourself investigations like this take months if not years to assemble as an officer of the law it is your duty to be forthcoming

    Worked 24 years on Rikers island and saw many officers and civilian workers arrested for promotion of inmate contraband. Most of these people thought they were so slick that they could not be caught. They forgot one thing, and it was the inmate facing a long sentence will give them up in a heartbeat.

    • @davidkunkle3262
      @davidkunkle3262 2 місяці тому +12

      Also I bet the inmates don't even care about that snitching. Usually snitching is bad I wonder how this is looked upon when you put a guard in jail😂

    • @debravaldez6905
      @debravaldez6905 2 місяці тому +4

      What makes you think the inmate snitched? If you haven't been an inmate or a Correctional officer do not assume.The inmate with the phone will not snitch. And the reason for that is because it will ruin the opportunity to get another Corrupted officer or officer's to get another phone for the inmate. A inmate with money will pay up to 3 grand for a cheap phone. And that is a fact! Not a assumption.😂@davidkunkle3262

    • @debravaldez6905

      Not true if you worked at rikers you know the inmate that has the phone won't snitch. Now other inmates that are brown noses will snitch but we all now what happens to them. They 90 % of the time they find the phone's during random shakedown shakedown

    In the case of Stephanie Lazarus the officers asked her to attend for interview in a place away from her own police station, supposedly to be discreet and save her from possible embarrassment and gossip as to why she was speaking to detectives, especially as some of her colleagues may be aware that these detectives were working on this reopened case.
    However the real reason for the location was that the detectives, knowing Lazarus had a volatile temper, were unsure how she would react when they laid their cards on the table and confronted her with all this fresh evidence, so they had to make sure she was unarmed. They asked her to report to a high security building where every visitor had to check their weapons at the door, so as not to arouse her suspicions.
    When Lazarus gets up and walks out of the room, the officers follow her out, immediately arrest her and put her in cuffs and sit her back down in the seat.
    For some reason this important part has been omitted.

      Interesting. Im a guy and I’ve been told by several women that they prefer working with men than women. I thought that was an odd comment coming from women so I asked why that was. They both said, in essence, that women are more petty and vindictive than men, more drama. Maybe so, but I’ve seen some women rise to the top and become excellent leaders and managers.

    • @user-is7es
      @user-is7es Місяць тому

      If you're innocent you have nothing to worry about. Except the only thing you have to worry about is being falsely accused and wrongfully imprisoned. These people doing the interrogations don't care. They're just looking to close the case, move onto the next one as quickly as possible and declare career success so they can tell everyone they accomplished something big. 🙄👌
      A lot of people who aren't innocent still talk to deflect attention away from themselves because it looks extremely suspicious to ask for a lawyer from the get-go. In reality, nobody should have even come to the police station without their lawyer present no matter how innocent or guilty they were.

When you're the condemned it's easy to feel like the world is out to get you. I'm sure dealing with people in there is enough to drive anyone mad. It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you. 👌
