Such gorgeous playing from Mr. Hakim... always! :) One of my absolute favorite favorites!! And, I really dig the Hybrid cymbals. I have a 17" crash and 20" ride in my setup. Bravo, Zildjian
Old Omar is back. In this video, his groove is as good as when he played in Weather Report.
I have been using the 11” splash and 19” crash in this series for about 8 years and they sound wonderful! 👍👏
The Omar touch, genius
Ive been a fan of Omar since the early 90's. I list him as an influence alongside Neil Peart, Ed Toth, and Chris Layton. Hakim's groove is undeniable. Zildjian K custom Hybrid are fantastic tools for finding a unique voice on the drumkit. I play the Hybrid hi-hats, the 18 and 19" hybrid crashes, and the 19" K custom Hybrid china, which in my opinion is the best china in all of the Zildjian stable. Thanks Omar for the quick sample!
i can't imagine what it will take to replace my 19" hybrid crash...it's one of the most beautiful sounds i've heard in my life...warm and full but present...the perfect large crash
Dude, pair that with a 18", 19", or 20" A or A Custom and that combination will produce the sounds of legends!
i love my 11" Splash. I wanted something that was louder and had more cut, but wasn't too heavy and still had traditional tone, and this fit the bill entirely, and that was looking across all brands.

Jason Rushing I have the same problem with my sweet ride 🙄 ever try to hit the ball of a ride with a crack in it? Sounds like poo.
Wyatt Brady Drums my 21" sweet ride is going strong luckily, that would be a bad day if i crack that

He broke up a marriage and took the drummers gig ..His current wife was the wife of another really cool drummer (minus the ego) and hakim even lives in there old house so no..
Drummers have to work but to shit on another up and coming drummer like that and smile about it?
I saw his wives trio many,many times years ago with her former drummer and partner and they where amazing and he was a great dude and drummer so you tell me what kind of drummer does that?
