How to Cut Metal with a Garden Hose

Cutting metal with a plasma torch is easy but did you know you can make your own home made plasma torch with a garden hose? Yes its true in my video I will show you how easy it is any old hose will do . Plasma cutting is great fun and I like playing around with plasma torches and welding. If you are new to plasma cutting you might think your plasma torch is a bit of high Tec gear but in reality its a very simple piece of kit. If you are looking for a replacement plasma torch did you know you can make your own leads out of a normal airline or even a garden hose. If you already have a plasma cutter torch head assembly then you can extend it with out much trouble.

Thanks for the info. Looks very simple to make your own plasma cable from scratch. Just buy some good quality air hose, some wires or smal cable, and why not put them thru a rubber protection that can handle sparks easily. I want to extend my original trafimet s25 4 m to 8 m.

Yea just remember the air hose is also the main power cable

@@petestools I have a TIG cable like that, with 2 in 1 air-curent hose, but my plasma has ordinary air hose, i think it's called rilsan + 2x 1 mm cable for contact, 1 x 4 mm black and 1 x 4 mm red. I use trafimet cable.

many plasma cutter connector sold on market. if I want to make plasma cutter's hose with garden hose, what size of hose and cable size for chinese plasma cut60. Actually the same as plasma machine torch P80, straight. My plasma hose been damage, need cheap replacements. You can make utube from start to end.
