- China is all set to further strengthen its position in the middle east by hosting Palestinian unity talks between Islamist militant group Hamas and its rivals Fatah amid the war in Gaza Strip. Hamas and Fatah - two rival Palestinian factions - are known for their political disputes since Hamas fighters expelled Fatah from Gaza in a short war in 2007. Delegations of both Hamas and Fatah left for China for the talks. If successful, this will be China's second such breakthrough after it brokered peace deal between longstanding regional foes Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Deescalation is the only path forward. Israel can bring about new leadership through elections. That cannot happen in Gaza because Gaza is no longer democratic.

This reminds me of how the KMT and CCP stopped their civil war during World War II and joined forces to fight against the Japanese invasion.
China also joined forces with Korea both are guerrilla fighters and they beat America and its allies down, this why the war never ended no treaty been signed just demilitarized zones and south Korea popped up America and its allies got beat that bad south Korea was made to protect them lol. They did the same with China and Taiwan and people wonder why Taiwan and south Korea are both not really legal and still territories of China and Korea its sad what America and Europeans have caused chopping up borders.
