CNC3D Commander - Step through job feature - Powerful GRBL control software

Hey followers,
In this video we take a look at one of the handy features built in to our CNC3D Commander software.
The step through feature has been a fairly requested feature and we have now made a start feature in the last release of our Commander software.
This feature is handy for those of you who may want to test or analyze exactly what your G-code is doing to work out if the tool path is correct for your needs.
For those of you who have a GRBL, grblHAL or xPROV5 and haven't used Commander, you may be pleasantly surprised by it's features. :)

Love this feature. Just a thought….would be great if the current line of gcode was displayed above/below/in the Running Job: progress bar

I was thinking the same thing - the current line and the next so you know what is due to happen when you press the buttong again.

@@cnc3d amazing that you have implemented this improvement so quickly. Certainly adds to the feature making it much easier to know what’s going on and should help no end with diagnosing gcode errors. I could have done with this earlier this evening while resurfacing my spoil board having just adjusted the machine soft limits. Look forward to using this is the next release 👍 :)

What controller do I need to use with this software I have a genmitsu 4040 cnc

After a quick look up, your controller is GRBL based it seems which means the majority of Commander functions should work as expected. It might be a good idea to collect some data and reach out to us via Facebook.
