I plan on recycling a lot of the stuff off my current XPeak and putting it back to stock I’m hoping we get the choice. I would like to get the step through also. I also would like the 20 amp battery.
I am doing the same thing and hoping for the same as you. I really enjoyed the XPeak 2.0 and think it has a lot of potential with a few personalized modifications similar to the original. Exciting times.
I would not worry about the “clunk”. It is pretty typical for a hub drive with a torque sensor. The torque center kicks in and pushes slack into the system if it is set higher than you are putting effort in. once it creates this slack it back off. And then your legs catch up the drive system to the motor. That is pretty typical of this type of system. Annoying, but not an issue.
At the time of this ride, they didn't have the step thrus for us to ride. They did have a one for display and I can say the frame is much beefier with more support, so until we can ride one I can't say but it looks like they took steps to fix that issue.

Thanks for the explanation. Good information to know.
Have they fixed the “wobble” & “Foot hitting front wheel” problem some were having with the last model?
