Thank you so much for reading this book. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes as Kathy describes how Elvis treated her. He was such a gentleman. He had to be so lonely in his marriage needing someone else to connect to and it wasn't all about sex. Someone of his stature could have anyone, he could have been in it just to have sex with her, but he wanted real connection and affection. Who does that? Can I love him anymore than I already do? I wish those people who think they know who he was could read this book and see a man who wasn't a cad like they claim. I just know hearing all the women (except Priscilla) describe their time with him all say such good things and love him so much. He didn't know how to treat people badly, it wasn't in him to be that way. This is so beautiful and thank you sincerely for giving us the opportunity to hear this part of his story. 💗

I love this book, so interesting, but I am not surprised at the threats against him. So many men were jealous of him. I can't recall any man in entertainment that was so effective in bringing out emotion in people. In the beginning of his career, it was people loved him or hated him, no gray area. It was mainly men who didn't like him, but he eventually won many of them over. The strange and wonderful thing about Elvis was he was a beautiful, but masculine man, an odd combination seldom seen. Thank you, I enjoyed it.

I was married to a genius. He couldn’t turn his mind off either. I’d wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning. He’d be out of bed and at his computer with some new design. A engine design or a transmission. He was a aero space design engineer. Employed at a big aero space company. If I told you you’d recognize the name of it.

So interesting. I read this years ago when it first came out. I think Kathy really loved him. Elvis' family were Democrats. Gary Pepper's family were Democrats. Gladys and Nell Pepper talked about voting for Adlai Stevenson and called him " our president ". I believe Elvis was always a progressive, for integration and equality, for equal freedoms for all and of course musical progression.❤❤❤

I always suspected that they, the Presley family were democrats. In those days most were Roosevelt Democrats, especially working class people. President Roosevelt was in office when Elvis was born, and I am sure Vernon benefited from the jobs that were created during this very difficult time.

    • @Shanna3fan
      @Shanna3fan 2 місяці тому

Donald Trump was a Democrat back then too. Things were a lot different, the democrats were supposed to be for the working man and anti war. The opposite of what they are now. Rest assured Elvis would never support the atrocities of the current democrat party.

I really appreciate you reading this book. It is quite interesting and I love your Elvis impersonation. It really adds to the story.
If you research Elvis long enough, you find that he's got so much "depth" to himself. I never knew either that he could play "Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata." As a matter of fact, I really didn't think he could play the piano that well. Around 1962, he did an interview in which he said that he had considered being a "doctor" but, of course, they couldn't afford to go. He went on to say, that even back then, he always kept up with what was going on in the medical field. It's nice to know "How Great Thou Art" was introduced into the show in 8/70.

Kathy seems to be a really nice person, but I think she's about ready to get her feelings hurt.
To put things in "perspective," I think it's worth noting the following:
    • LAS VEGAS tour was 8/10/70 - 9/8/70 and the PHOENIX tour began 9/9/70
    • Kathy's first performance on stage was 8/17/70
    • 8/26/70 a security guard at the hotel received a call and was told that Elvis would be "KIDNAPPED."
    • 8/27/70 - Parker received a similar call.
    • 8/28/70 - Joan Esposito received a call that Elvis would be SHOT during the last show on the following day (8/29/70)
With that being said, while Kathy was getting close to Elvis, Elvis was still being Elvis:
    • JOYCE Bova, who he met in 8/69, came to see him during this tour. I don't know the exact date but it was sometime after the death threats and before Phoenix. Joyce was supposed to stay the night, but they had an argument and then she left. (I mention this because it seems that Kathy is saying that they were spending every night together. Joyce came to the after show, as well.)
    • Although, I don't know the exact date, this was the same tour when Elvis spotted BARBARA Leigh and slipped pencil/pen to her under the table to get her telephone number, as soon as Jim Aubrey stepped away.
To me, whether you agree or disagree with some of the things he does, Elvis always seems to be consistently Elvis, no matter who he is with. He really doesn't seem to change his views or how he does things.

I remember when they started calling him the king of Rock and roll he hated that and would tell them ,no I'm not the king I'm just a entertainer Jesus Christ is the only king we have. He use to tell how he got saved at I believe he said age 11 and he always loved to sing gospel songs after every show because he said they brought him peace and he did start singing gospel songs in his shows, and he would pray before going on stage and he wouldn't let the guy's drink alcohol and he didn't and in the beginning no cursing around him he was very honest and genuinely loved people and his Lord and savior but he started slipping up and cursing some when frustrated in the later yrs and his one weakness was always woman but he loved having them in his room and he loved the ones who made him feel more secure and to read the Bible with and he wanted ways to get closer to God, but finally Elvis started realizing many of the guys he loved and trusted as his true friends started taking advantage of him for fun things to do and he bought them new car's and jewelry and paid for them to go on vacations but several of them hurt him horribly they betrayed him after he got worn out and was unhealthy and Percilla had been staying out alright with Mike Stone who had a pregnant wife and she was just leaving her new baby with Elvis's family and a nanny and Dodger which is what Elvis called his grandmother grandmother talked to her and told her she was staying out and leaving her little baby to much and was concerned she wasn't bonding with Lisa Marie until finally she told Elvis about her staying out from early evening all night long spending to much time away from thier little baby and this upset him deeply and he ask his grandmother where is she going and spending the night at and she said we'll she goes to her classes karate and dance and she spends nights at a friend's house saying she missed out on having teenage years with the girls and that was a lie she started being very permiskus at a very young age in Germany and the girls she went to school said that after she found out her real dad died and the man she always thought was her real dad wasn't she got angry at her mom and step-dad for lying to her and she started sleeping with older boys and she was out of control, but Elvis decided to come to Graceland the next evening and get there in time to see where she was going and who she was hanging out with leaving thier little baby so much so he got there and was driven to the studio where Mike was giving karate lessons and sit and watched them leave together in the car he had bought her so he told red to follow them and they did and sure enough they went to a motel together and he got so angry he wanted him dead at first that's what Sonny West said but he goes into the motel and knocked on the room door and told her she was trash leaving thier new baby with a nanny and his grandmother and he called Mike a sorry lowlife scum and more and finally told Percilla not to come back and they finally got him out of there and at Graceland he told Sonny to look at me man I want you to kill Mike ,do it for me man look what he has done to me and my little angel baby and Sonny said no Elvis no I'm not going to do it and he said Elvis put a gun in his hand and said come on man do it for me and Sonny said no Elvis I'm not killing him it's not worth it and finally he calmed down and changed his mind about that but said I didn't want to marry her but was forced but I do adore my beautiful little girl and I had actually started to care about Percilla but I want that b out of my house I'm going to divorce her and I will keep Lisa Marie all summer long but instead they didn't get divorced until she was 3 yrs old but they were done with each other and he started seeing as many girls as he wanted to and Mike divorced his wife wanting to marry Percilla but she just messed around a lot with him and I think she did live a little while with Mike but then started cheating on him with I can't remember for sure if it was Robert Kardashian or that guy I can't remember his name but she was a whoreand it started at 12 according to girls she was friends with and she said she didn't like Elvis Presley but saw him as money ,power, and fame and her parents were fed up with her and she truly did pursue him and she would write him a letter everyday calling him at late hrs and she begged him to come begged her parents to let her move in with his family and finally after she was almost 17 he takes to them and they sent her he paid for private catholic school for her to finish high-school and he bought her supplies and new clothes completely supported her❤ and she would sneak up into his room and he would kiss her but she would beg him to make love to her and he told her no your to young and I told you the woman I marry I want her to be a virgin and prissy lied and told he done everything to her except go all the way but he didn't because he said she was to young and she wanted to marry him and he would tell her after your old enough and if we fall and love then I will ask you to be my wife ,he said she aggravated him to death and started dressing more grown up and even died her hair the color of his and wore to much make up because she thought he would start giving her the attention she wanted if she did this but he told her no and she actually got mad at him and told him he was torching her because she ached to have sex with him and she thought looking older would make him so she told he forced her to dress and look older but he didn't he wanted her to mature normal and he would start dating her after she turned 18 and see if it grew .it was a big mess but untelling what lies she told her parents because Elvis didn't want to marry her but he threatened to sue him and kernel Parker told him it would ruin his image and career so he was found crying the night before he was to marry her and his house keeper ask him why he was crying and he told her that he didn't want to marry Percilla.she said we'll don't marry her he said they are making me and she was 21 yrs old when he married her ,And she got pregnant on her wedding night and everyone thinks she planned it this way ,and poor Elvis bought her parents home so I just think he was took advantage of by so many people that he truly became hurt deeply and felt he couldn't trust anyone anyone because they just wanted him for money and cars and stuff and they could hang out with other famous people. So he got very sad and lonely and he said he oly felt true love from Lisa Marie and Elvis kept her on spring break and all summer long and for Christmas holidays and every holiday because sad to say her mother was busy with her life shaking up with men and acting on Dallas then not a starring role but a role ,and she bragged about stealing a shoebox filled Elvis's watches ,chains and diamond rings and bracelets. She tried to give her lover boy a very expensive diamond ring that belonged to Elvis and Robert Kardashian ask her where did you get all that expensive jewelry?she laughed and said I took it from Elvis's jewelry box before I left Graceland and he wouldn't except the ring. She was a very bad person

"Be still and know I am God" is a favorite of mine too! Elvis was just an Entertainer! Political agendas should not be here I think. MITTE TCB TLC That is awesome to learn his other talents! Maybe she should move to the couch!

It's obvious Elvis was grooming Kathy. He was a smooth talker.
As his cousin Billy Smith said, Elvis would never commit to any one woman.

Please stop the lame Elvis impersonation. I would love to hear the book, but that's just ridiculous. Just read it normally.

I don't know why you are so inthrulled with promoting Elvis and his disgusting affairs. The bottom line is all the time he was spending with these other women was time he could of spent with his daughter. HE was not capable of love or commitment.

@@TeresaReynolds-o6g if priscilla was worth ot it would agree. Any woman who just has a baby and destroys a marriage that she did with her dance instructor in 1968 isn’t worth even considering anymore. Regardless of what was done to you the fact that she chose to destroy a marriage. And then another one with Mike‘s wife. Shows that she is low class- the lowest you can get. As for Lisa Elvis got her every chance that he could. But Priscilla was pretty controlling unless she wanted to take a trip

I agree 100% You claim you love Elvis but there's so much negativity about him on this channel. I get why you don't like Priscilla, however, it seems like your hatred for her is overshadowing your love of Elvis and his music! Also, in case you don't tune into other channels, you lost a fan base claiming that you shouldn't be promoting Lucy.
There was a comment posted that stated "I think that guy Joe is secretly in love with Priscilla Presley 😅😂

@@RareElvisPhotos So P had an affair first you think on EP and not EP with Kathy? He's had so many affairs, it's hard to keep up. P could have been fed up with EP and his affairs while she was pregnant and soon after Lisa was born. Poor Lisa, P should have stayed in Memphis, so Lisa could have family around. However, California was probably more interesting.
