Those days they facilitated us to do it from Sri Lanka. I only went Cardiff for the graduation. My opinion is first you select the uni.and search that university website for entry requirements. Usually they clearly mention whether you need IELTS or not.

You may come as a tourist. But no one gives work for you. There is no way to switch the tourist visa to any other visa. I’m sorry..if you’re Aunty knows any one you can work up to 6 month Illegally with minimum salary.£8.79 per hour or less.
