you should really consider to do a byzantine play through as with the new dlc the byzantines got reworked and i recommend playing in the 1178 start date as alexios paliologos who starts as the ruler of the theme of bulgaria (vassal of byzantine empire) and what makes him so special is that when the byzantines collapsed after the fourth crusade where the latin knights sacked constantinople (1204) and the byzantines broke apart, his dynasty was the one who reconquered it all back and then his dynasty ruled the byzantine empire until the fall of constantinople (1453) to the ottomans. His dynasty ruled the byzantines for the longest out of any other dynasty.
I was playing the Tao Klarketi duchy and formed Georgia as an Armenian character and the game decided that they should give me an event to form my own culture and made me Neo-Georgian as an Armenian cultured character
Btw, in the beginning the woman who is your characters mother "Hripsime Mamikonian" belongs to one of the most well respected and legendary dynasties in Armenian history because of St. Vardan Mamikonian, the man who saved Christianity in Armenia from the Persians.
in my opinion this achievement should be done with Arranshahik dynasty, to the northeast of Armenia, the ruler of Arran. They infact pre-date the Arsacids, Mihranians and Khosrowians of Armenia, Georgia and Gardman. Most likely they also pre-date Bagratuni dynasty too. If you check their lineage within the game it only goes back to Zarmihr Aranshahik, because right before the Sassanids take over the Persian throne, the Mihranids invited all the Arranshahiks to a feast, and murdered them them all but Zarmihr Aranshahik, because he was married to a Mihranian princess. The character in the game, the lord of Arran is Simbat Arranshahik, if I remember correctly, he is the direct descendant of Zarmihr Aranshahik. And also he is the paternal ancestor of both Hasan-Jalalyan and Melik-Avanyan dynasties of later Armenia, making them cadet branches of Aranshahik in reality. Well... This is just for the people that care for role-playing I guess...
Hey I recently discovered your vids and love them, great content and you’re super funny. Just curious, you don’t play with any mods, do you? Do you mind me asking if there’s a reason for that? Not saying you need to go overboard and download 50 mods but something like More Interactive Vassals makes the game a lot more interesting. You probably get this question a lot but just wondering. Looking forward to the Roads to Power content!
Hey I don’t mind you asking and thanks for watching! I am willing and like to download mods but I do like playing without them just for the reason that some people might get upset because I’m not playing the vanilla game. I do want to create a series where I review mods so any suggestions is welcomed
@@AntDaMan420 Yeah check out More Interactive Vassals for sure. Adds a lot of depth. Another cool one I’d suggest is “obfusCKate,” it hides things like attributes, traits, army strength etc for characters who you don’t personally know or aren’t physically near. There are ways to find out and scout that info but it takes time/gold/spying. Just a really different way to play, would be cool to see as a vid!
When fabricating a claim on a duchy I believe you don't need to fabricate on the duchy capital and you get a speed bonus if you fabricate it on a neighbouring county it would be better to fabricate there.
people rarely play in china, but its alot of fun. maybe a nestorian christian mongol takes over chinese kingdom? or a tuyuhun guy tries to re-found the tuyuhun kingdom? or an uygur guy trying to convert all Turan empire back to manichaeism?
lol at the start "Dang diplomacy education, that kinda sucks..." then "Wow look how easy it is to vassalize these neighbors!" smh my head

WHAT SHOULD I PLAY WHEN THE NEW ROADS TO POWER DLC COMES OUT? Also Discord server now live check description of video.
I would love it if you started as a norse count became unlanded, took Normandy and basically just turn it into a 1066 normandy campaign
@@imcoool2 that sounds awesome definitely willing to try that

@@Grungeuncle the thing that stops me is the Mongolians in the north and the terrible development and terrain in the Tibetan Highlands
When is the slavia video?
Since the new dlc is dropping soon the save might be corrupted after it’s out but I’ll try and play it to see if it will still work.
@@AntDaMan420 Thats a shame
The seljuk invasion cb pretty much no matter what. Unless you win the war you'll lose land, even with the white peace.
