- Hey guys, so I really hope you enjoy this Kara and Alex edit, this is the edit Nikki and I live-streamed so thank you to everyone who joined us and helped us with suggestions for this edit you guys were so helpful! This video is dedicated to you guys! Because you're all amazing, and supportive so thank you so much!
Anyhow, this video has been a pain in the ass to finish up S02E10 was giving me trouble! Grrr! But I managed to sort it temporarily to get this finished so yay! The Danvers Sisters is my favourite aspect of Supergirl so I'll probably be editing them again! C'mon, who doesn't love Kara and Alex's relationship?

It's a good thing they included Alex in the TV show. She is not only depicted as a excellent adopted sister, but also serves as Kara's guiding star. The most obvious example is when they trained at DEO headquarters so that Kara could improve her hand to hand combat ability. Even though Alex is a regular human and Kara is Supergirl, Alex knew that superpowers alone can only take Kara so far. Earth is attacked by a diverse assortment of aliens, some of which possess abilities that are even beyond Supergirl's league, so by sparring with Kara under Kryptonite emitters, Alex is preparing her for the dangers anticipated when working for the DEO.

Best relationship in the show - the Danvers sisters, hands down! Amazing video. I do hope we get more of the Danvers sisters going forward.
Oh definitely, it's the reason I watch the show. I miss the focus on them more this season but yeah I look forward to whatever scenes they do have together.
Indeed, it's the idea that had the greatest potential. However, I get the impression that the episodes each have different writers? They often forget points from previous episodes with strange results. Sometimes Kara has no memory of Krypton, other times her life there was all she thinks about (remember the black mercy episode). Sometimes the Danvers have a complex bond, other times its 2D.
For the record, the most memorable line from the whole first season was Cat's admonition to the martian about "big fat crocodile tears" (when he was pretending to be Kara crying). I always think that now when Kara or Alex cries.
Chyler said we were gonna get lots more Danvers sisters scenes going forward, so let's hope the show gets back to that soon!
I know, I'm so excited to actually getting some more moments between them! I miss that aspect of the show so much! Them together is my favourite part of the show.

Aw thank you so much I'm glad you liked it. Clean audio is so important to me now, you can get away with bad quality clip sometimes but bad audio just ruins a video. So I try and level the audio so it's clear. Plus quotes/voiceover is my niche is editing.

Amazing video! A nice reminder of why I love the series so much. I hope season 2 focus on them more like it did in s01. My fear when it moved to CW for s02 was that they'd focus on the romance more & well...that's exactly what is happening lol. I love Maggie & Alex (not big fan of the Kara Mon El Romance but whatever), but the heart of the show for me is the relationship between the sisters :) Once again great vid!

I think the 1st season is about them as sisters. They have to figure out how to balance being sisters and heroes. Kara also learns how to be a hero and find her own path.

Oh, and what about some of the drama that'd result from say people finding out Kara's sister has a girlfriend she's dating? Focus on the platonic and sibling, but the element is the fallen romance that is the catalist for the drama in the house, especially before they're adults too? She was definitely naughty in that regard!

One of the main reasons I watch supergirl is because of their amazing relationship it's just so great and powerful and perfect and just so loving! If they weren't soooo great as 'the danvers sisters' I would totally ship them! (kalex is a cute ship but I love supercorp) kinda like how I feel about Caitlin and Cisco would be an awesome ship but they love each other too much like siblings.
I adore Kara and Alex's relationship so much on the show, and it's the reason I watch and I hope to see more of their relationship in season 3 this time around.

Another way she could protect her kid stepsister: make sure Kara knows how to fend for herself; it's an investment, but one that is always well worth doing on the part of the older sibling. Though in their case it gets a tad confusing: different planets having different orbital years and the like, as well as how long Kara'd been traveling to this solar-system.

To be honest i would love to see a show just about Alex and of course with Chyler Leigh. I already loved her in grey´s anatomy but here she is even much better. I hope we see some more Alex centred episodes in the future.
I don't think I could watch Supergirl happily if Alex wasn't around Kara and I think it Alex had her own show I'd still feel the same way it wouldn't be any good without Kara. They're both the reason I love the show and they go hand in hand to me and they're what make the show great.
Kara could be a guest start on and off. Alex character has a lot of potenial. They can even make her a new vigalente without Karas knowledge. She is much more sklled for it then James ever was for guardian.
If that's what you think? I personally disagree. Another vigilante show? Not my cup of tea, and as for keeping stuff from Kara. She already did that when she was hiding being a DEO agent, I don't think Kara would appreciate being lied to like that again, their relationship is pasted that kind of thing.
