Oh does that ever feel like living life to the fullest. Few songs bring so much joy. This rendition is one of the greatest of all times. My head is spinning and my fingers are tired and tied in knots just dreaming of playing it. This is the joy of life in a song.❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Channel 4 aired this performance in a prog called Jazz at the Gateway - I had it on video, which I mislaid/lost so many thanks for uploading - shame the intro is missing because he does a nice, almost classical few bars in d major, which I pinched for my own rendition of Wave...
Triste ou "wave" paralelando com "Vou te contar", já foi gravado em vários paises por diversos músicos. Tom Jobin é fora de série. Junto com Vinicius marcou época e perpetuou um estilo (bossa nova) que veio para encantar.
So, Oscar the great is playing, and he's got guys on bass and drums but NO. It's the Oscar Peterson TRIO, and each cat's a peer. Tasty drums defining the bossa beat with those blocks or whatever. And that warm. melodic bass. Yeah, especially the bass. I learned that lesson when I discovered the Curtis Ohlson group with Larry Schneider, and understood why it bore his name. No "side men." Four musicians, peers in conversation. Of course, yeah, it's OSCAR. But, like I said, they have this conversation that you never want to end. (Ken Baldock, bass and Martin Drew on drums. Right.)
OP is the Michael Jordan of jazz piano in my eyes. He just had so much in his toolbox and was so incredibly versatile... Once in a lifetime musician!

クラウスオガーマンの編曲のも大好きでしたが、トリオでのこの演奏もオスピーノーアレンジが素敵です。

Poetry. Pure poetry… this comment
Fucking magician.
Silk
Thx
This guy can't play straight for even a second 😂 he leaves no thing unswinged.
And that's a good thing!!
I don't consider it either a good or a bad thing. There's good straight music and there's good swing music
@@svensvensson6705 exactly. And this is bossa nova not swing. He hadn't a clue really even though jobim praised him
Oh yeah!!. Why play 8 notes when you can fit 80 in the same space.
Great rendition but terrible camera work.
Did you know that you can buy any old shit in New York?
