Not sure why this vid turned out a little blurry. Sorry about that everyone!
Recall is everything
Nice. I work on this every day with my ACD. He is getting better. Distractions are tough, though! Lol. His biggest issue is being reactive around new dogs when we pass them on the trail or in the park. Thanks!
Same bro! I live in the ghetto so there are a lot of loose dogs and just a lot of dogs behind fences used for protection so I’m training my stumpy tail to relax, having a well trained pitbull already helps him follow and relax, learning real quick, goodluck brother 👌🏼
That's the best looking heeler ever
Thank you
Jack you've got a pretty good dog. You also give very good advice. I especially like how you give positive reinforcement.
I've seen people hunt on horse back with German Shorthair. Man do they cover the ground.
Me I'd rather walk on foot.
Jack keep up the good work.
And keep praising your dog. 👍
great video.thanks for these tips jack. waiting to see what's next?
I know this video is older but it's the first one I watched from you. Very good session! You do a great job of explaining what happens during the process. I swear you say the exact same things I do, regarding letting them get distracted, making them get close enough, "reel them in", etc. I wonder if we learned from the same source?!
Great video, you got a sub, I like the candid style 👍
appreciate ya!
Great video .. patience and repetition go along way .. starting out with ecollar .. hope you can post some videos .. Thanks
Good content.
😂 I love your dog. I wonder how he was at 9 months. I'm in the definition of hell with 9 month old blue heeler, JRT mix. Have fun walking him! My God man! Awe Britney Spaniel 😭💖
he was a terror from 9 months to 13 months. Stick with it during this time! Very important to be more consistent than ever.
How long is your long leash? 20ft?
Mine also used to attack fireworks
Ps. Yes! Recall is what I need bc Gary is "too good for the leash." So as my punishment for 3 45-60 min walks a day, is him eating the leash lol. He also i believe, enjoys embarrassing me on walks bc his little 24 pound butt drags me from one side of the street to the other. Also, I have MS & my legs hurt all the time. I love Gary. He saves my life, but bruh do my legs hurt.
I'm tired man!
You clicked like he was a horse haha!
I do haha. Habit
@@DogLifeWithJack so what do you do with cowboy when you work horses? I end up putting my boy on my side patio in the shade with a kid pool. I used to tie my old one up in the shade by the arena….
@@Froby2378 Horses are something we have gotten better around but he's still working on. I don't fully trust him and don't want him to get kicked to outer space. But our latest video about impulse control helps a lot around horses and I'm seeing improvements.
@@DogLifeWithJack cool, thanks for sharing! My old boy got to the point where he would lay down on his own and watch but that was when he turned 12….. 🤣
