I though that all citrus is harmful to dogs, but lime is ok?...
I've got 2 heelers. Best family dogs I've ever had. They both are fully devoted to our family! Don't walk on our property unless ya wanna be missing chunks of ya legs 😂
This is RECIPROCITY… At its finest… I just love your video way too much… Sorry for over commenting… And then I have to edit this one, because oh my God, you introducing them to the chickens came to mind… How they aren’t allowed to get them… You’re so great! You have helped our family tremendously.

Thank you! Really appreciate it :) comment as much as you’d like haha
My gawd! You gave me so many ideas in the first three minutes of your video… I’m so grateful to you! I’m going to watch the rest, of course, because I’m pretty sure I’m gonna get a lot of really great advice right here… My Ogie and your Cowboy are similar…I love them both so hard! And what an amazing young man you are… Your parents have to be the proudest, lol! I only say this because, as a parent, I would be… And I’m old enough to be… I just love your stuff.

I am a huge fan of herding breeds, too. They are cllenging, but also so fun to train, because of their intelligence. I think they make great companions.
Very impressive how both dogs calmly STAYED when the jogger ran past them. Kudos to your training of them
My female ACD Ruthie is about Cowboy's age--born July 12, 2020--another Covid puppy. Your description of Cowboy fits Ruthie perfectly! Ruthie is smaller at 37.5 lbs. Having a male Malinois also in our home provides mental stimulation for Ruthie: stealing the Malinois' rawhides like Capture the Flag; tug-of-wars; and taking zero grief from the Malinois. Ruthie will treat the Malinois like a wayward steer with no hesitation or back-down. They're good together. Something else: Ruthie LOVES to swim, even during a cold-spell to retrieve a ball from the river but especially to cool off when it's warm. THANKS FOR THE EXCELLENT VIDEO.
If you want to sell products to me, I'd prefer advertising that didn't start with "your to stupid to own a cattle dog or a herding dog".. I do live on a large property and he is my 5th herder. He definitely won't be sitting around the couch, eating treats all day.
Stop. With the kibble! Fresh food or raw. High quality.food!!!
My Corgi is top tier smartness !
For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕
I had a corgi. Not as smart as a cattle dog but pretty close lol
He’s a dog’s dog !!❤️!!
Beautiful story of life now & a new business/friend relationship. Enjoy your desk!
appreciate it :) and I will I’m sure!

My poor German Shepherd has just done this to herself and I had no idea what to do. Will give this a shot in the morning! Thankyou. Your dog is a sweetie.
He's such a pretty boy.
I don’t agree with you. They are not a city dog
My Blue don’t bite he’s a good dog. Jack is my best dog. But he is out every day working on my farm
My Rottweiler attacks the wheels on trashcan
First of all: Thank you so much for this video. I've got a 4 month old blue heeler and seeing this gives me hope and a dream to work on to have her behave the same way. Im already practicing everyday with her but the trick with the "No" on the long line is something I will definitely pick up. Also the advice about not repeating the command I will follow. I agree with that you have to pinpoint the exact moment when to praise and when not to. At the moment, my heeler is constantly tugging my sleeves and holding my leg with her front paws when she gets excited. She sees it as a type of game and a "come play with me" which Im trying to get out of her. The cattledog academy sounds awesome. Unfortunately, I live in Europe. If you ever feel like doing a startup here, let me know :)
My Koda is 8 years old. He retired from herding several years ago due to a leg injury. He doesn't let that slow him down. He's the best dog I've ever owned. He's extremely loyal, intelligent and very protective. Hope you and Cowboy have many years together. 🐾🐾
takes quite a lot to slow them down! Cowboy has had quite a few injuries and he's tough as nails. Hard to force him to rest if he's injured lol. Good thing they're tough though because they have zero self preservation haha
Thx for the great video. I have a 1 1/2 yr old female blue heeler. When I dna tested her, results were 75% ACD. Her coloring is spot on for full blooded heeler. Her jaw is slightly narrower, and her legs are a bit longer than Cowboys. But not by much. Also, she is very attached to me and hubby equally, unless we try to hug, lol. Is the American ACD vs Australian ACD a little different? I see other ACD YT channels, and their dogs are built more like mine. Not as stocky and compact as Cowboy. Just curious because I heard of the Queensland Heeler and wonder what that means.
@robing1549 Albert is from a litter born in Siler City NC. AkC registered, born on a working farm, and is a little bigger than Cowboys description. Albert is near 60lbs, taller and slightly longer, still all the traits of the pure heeler breed, including the single mask and Bently Mark on his forehead. I've been told, Albert more closely resembles the true breeds size, but the AKC has been favoring the short and stocky versions. Albert has not been professionally trained to herd, I've used him on both cows and sheep successfully. I wouldn't put too much faith into size alone. The Queensland heelers are used for sheep and mostly all black. Randy
@@watsonrk1 My girl is named Winter. We adopted her at 8 weeks from the shelter, so was very fortunate to go there the day she came in. We had a partial red heeler that lived to 15. She was a great dog and a very hard loss. Winter, on the other hand is a handful to put it mildly but is finally calming down some. She still gets nippy. I think she is just using her mouth as we use our hands for interaction and to direct us. Shes also bossy and vocal when she has something to say. Something different I noticed about her is she can actually hook her arms and curve it around our legs to grab hold of us. Didn't know a dog could be that flexible...
Cowboy is the AKC standard which is typically a lot more stocky than most you see out there. They can take on a lot of looks!
@robing1549 yes, Albert is doing the same, grabby with his front paws and mouthy. He is very pushy with his nose as well, when he wants something, he makes sure you know it.
Our cattle dog Albert, is every bit of these 3 things you speak to. People know they are being scrutinized when walking by the house. He's warming up to my wife, been 5 years now. But when im gone, he's all about keeping the house safe and her. Its like a light switch when i come home, hugs are not allowed, i could be hurt.. only when he's not watching for the first few days!
same with my guy, if i leave the house he gets much more affectionate with her and protects the house. same thing if we're hiking he stays on her heels and keeps an eye on her the entire time!
I love my female blue heeler puppies she's 4 months old so smart
such a fun age! take lots of pictures :)
I've been watching your videos for the last couple of weeks, and you're the reason I'm getting one! Very informational content keep doing what you're doing mate!
appreciate the kind words and support...if you've done your research and you're committed then I wish you the best of luck. They aren't an easy breed (and not for everyone) but they can be very rewarding...especially once they mature. Just know the first couple years will be a rollercoaster! lol
I love my red heeler. He's can't be 5 feet away. Loyal as all get out!
5 feet is the max radius for sure! haha
I’m Autistic and my parents were totally against me getting my cattle dog, but she’s my best friend and follows me everywhere. So much we had to have her regestered as a service dog, because if she gets separated from me she flung her self through a car window to get to me when I had a Autisim breakdown. And she’s we never did really any training, she just decided that I’m her job. It’s funny how against the breed they were until we got her, now my dads trying to find a pup for him and mom too.
🙏🏼
Amazing breed and Cowboy is such a handsome boy!
he is a ham for sure. thanks :)
Our guy is super loyal as well; at first he scared me when he showed it, lol! Thank you for the link… I will check it out😊
they have their own way of showing it sometimes LOL. Thanks lmk if you have questions, appreciate you checking us out! :)
@ Ogie loves me so much that he freaked out when the kids came to my window, when I picked them up from school… we had to do some reacquainting… their loyalty is beautiful and hard-core… Honestly, to their owner, they are the sweetest dogs ever…Ogie literally lifts his back leg and rolls on the floor. Every time I come near him, because he expects an epic belly rub… But to others, it may be a bit of a chore… I suggest a doggie door, and a dog run, and places they can go and hide when you have guests… i’m definitely going to hook up with the training when I have some time… I could use it and Cowboy is adorable!
Love most of the advice, but if my blue heeler pup starts nipping my ankles and If I were to turn around and ignore him, he would go to town on the back of my calf's 😢😂 for any other bad behaviour that may work but with nipping if you let it go it will just get worse as it's seen as acceptable behaviour
Cómo puedo enseñarle el ven con el collar eléctrico por favor
Hes a good one.
Too late. Got one in july
There's is such a thing as too many vitamins, minerals, protein etc that can cause people and animals harm. I think it's great your business is doing great. I think maybe there's more profit not selling dog food and just pitching the toppers. More power to you not imo a real good high quality dog food should have everything a good needs.
what's your idea of a good dog food?
Why don't you sell dog food?
we plan to someday :)
Doesn't a good dog food already have all the things a dog needs? Seriously people
do you think eating the same exact food every single day yourself would be everything you need? Yes...it could be everything they need to SURVIVE, but not THRIVE. Not to mention how can one size fit all? Dogs are individuals, some are picky eaters, some have digestive issues, some have immune deficiencies, some are harder on their bodies adn need extra recovery to keep them healthy well into their golden years...and we offer natural ways to solve many of those problems. Plus many of the ingredients dogs require might be in their dog foods but they are so heavily processed that your dog is no longer getting any benefits. I will make some more videos explaining this is that'd be helpful? Lmk...
Great stuff, keep up the great work!
appreciate ya!
I, too, find that keeping in shape helps as a dog owner. It makes for more graceful moves when you trip over the dog. I like your channel. It helps me with my Kelpie. I'm so glad to see it growing! Congratulations!
my dogs force me to stay in shape! I love it. And thanks for following along...Kelpies are really cool dogs...wicked smart and athletic
Fantastic Dogs -- yes they will bite a stranger if that stranger does not back off when confronted. one of the reasons I love them -- but that trait is not for everyone.
Love blue heeler
Since I rarely leave my GusGus home and he’s always in the car but afraid of the front seat…what do you have covering your back seat??? It looks like it doesn’t move when Cowboy jumps on it.
Perfect description of my GusGus…although we left the double wide for an apartment. Lol
Clean
I like how you incorporated parkour skills in this video. My GusGus is trained with obedience, therapy, service, and is now working parkour. It keeps his ACD brain from getting bored.
They are a very fun breed and very intelligent. My boy was playing catch at 6 weeks old for 30 min at a time. It's was amazing how he stayed so focused and was he was never distracted within the house. Outside, if he smells something, he will sidetrack a bit, but come rught back to it. He took it upon himself to catch wild rabbits, but I will call his name and say, "Stop it." He listens pretty well.
