I want to be able to chill like Daniel on that chair. Hood down legs crossed at my welding test. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. They really help me out.
This is dope af! I’m a aerospace welder. I run tig all day, inco625, 718, and hastalloy x. Where I work we don’t weld pipe but I would love to do something like this and gain some experience.
Great tutorial! Thanks for taking the time to share this knowledge. I know the both of you are busy and I hope that you know it's appreciated. I hope that you could help me by showing the whole Tig setup for the SA 200 and put the equipment links in your Amazon store.
Nice video man , I would love to learn how to weld but dont have nobody to teach me near by hopefully some day I have the chance to find a good welder just like you guys , keep uploading some tutorials really help
💯🔥 good ass video. Simple but detailed explanations. Quality work goes a long way gonna have foreman calling you none stop. Stay safe brotha. The Weld Lab FTW! 💪🏽
Damn. Homie is very informative on welding. I will be recommending your channel for people who need help. I’m terrible at explaining things to people, I just weld and let them look/take notes by their observation. You should look into being a welding instructor in the future, when you’re ready to slow down that is.
@@TheWeldLab I’m from HTX too. Maybe we should link up one day and you can show me something on stick. I have zero experience on it. I’m a tig welder for Schlumberger and usually fuck w/stainless. I have a IG welding page too.
when you pull out from the tie in can you explain why its ok to whip out instead of leaving the cup on the bead for the post flow. I just realized that some welders i seen kind of lag the finish so the argon stays on the bead longer. Not talking smak just kind of confused about post flow and how you dont seem too worried about it but u still pass the xray on the regular.
man i just had to come back and say you guys got mad talent and that i appreciate all the hard work you are doing Rico. You really inspired me to continue my welding journey and pursue breaking out. I am still learning and getting my stuff together. so glad i found your channel and i always learn something new from you. I never seen weaves look so slick, that shit looks like dragon skin. I'm blown away that your fill passes are that nice, I thought I was looking at one weld in the beginning but damn. That is next level.
That hot pass he burned the stamped end off his rod. Big mistake. If the QC walked up and wants to verify your using the correct filler metal. But you welded it off your rod. He could potentially make you grind that pass out. Never burn the stamped end away.
Truck video :Half ton,3/4 ton truck or Dually . I have a half ton and I did load up my sa-200 and did good for a léveled truck . Question is will a half ton get me by for a while currently in Tulsa welding school and yes I do have some experience in the oilfield as a labor ,parts runner and welder helper.
Put the wire on rite in between the bevel no inside the pipe but half of the wire will be inside and the other half on top of the bevel and if it’s till falling after that maybe turn the machine down ..on my next video I’ll try to show you what I mean
hello am in Australia.. Have a job that has a lot of steel flooring around job site. Laydown of electode a pain. Using a modern small inverter stick welder. Q) anywhere in USA / your company sell a stick electrode holder with ON OFF switch. ? Have never seem one. Only one on www is one for 12 v vehicle welders it seems. Seems a no brainer to have the option? any info appreciated. Has to deal with wide range amps no doubt.
Hey man I’ve just discovered your channel and wow I’m amazed by it your doing a phenomenal job! But I wanted to ask I’m pretty sure you always get this question but. How does someone new get their first job as a welder if the person has no connections in the industry? Especially in Houston since there’s a lot of companies to look at
you need to take any welding job you can. get even if they pay is not that good till you get some good experience ...also start make friends who are welders get some good contacts ..you in Houston they have plenty opportunity out here
Hey bro can I get some of his info don’t have insta but rn I’m going to lee college and my next semester is tig on pipe my last semester was stick and tig on plate with the bevel but was just wondering if I can ask if I can get alil more practice I would really appreciate it bro just wanna get more experience I’m 22 and willing to learn more so I can be up there like you guys thanks bro hope I can get an answer back but I understand if not thanks
When I try this at the angle your holding it while walking ur cup, my filler rod balls up and starts to puddle long before I makes it to my weld puddle. Am I to hot?
You are obviously holding your torch at the wrong angle and your tungsten is directed at the filler wire so make sure your tungsten is directed into the prep making a keyhole
