IT'S A MASTERPIECE! A few weeks ago I commented on a video of yours about going to a store championship with mono black or dimir skeletons. I ended up going with mono black and placed 2nd! It was my first ever standard event (sadly no Urza Saga for me). SUPER EXCITED to try out Dimir this standard season!!! The Slasher is UNSTOPPABLE! I'm glad I found a creator who enjoys magic in the same way I do!
I accidently discovered this combo (just made a random low cost blue deck to complete daily's cast 20 blue spells) and was like why is this deck winning and this combo was the reason so glad u have put a deck together save me loads of time diving in now to test it ty.
I love your decks and also your videos. Your sense of fun and enjoyment remind me of why I started magic (only in March this year ). I’ve had no enjoyment this last season. Felt very disheartened but watching your videos reminds me of why we should play. Because it should be fun. Fingers crossed this deck brings back my smile and enjoyment of the game of magic. ❤
Very funny deck, watching an opponent waste removal on Miners and Slasher is hilarious! I only got 2 Overlords, maybe I'll replace the missing ones with 2 Bloodletters of Aclazotz until I do... They're adding a lot of pressure too lol
Floodpits Drowner is a masterpiece in aggro creatures deck. Super cool card. For me Drowner + Forsaken Miner and Entity Tracker + new black enchantments are MVPs of my new dimir aggro/flash decks.
Guessing the rakdos trick with Slasher is Untimely Malfunction? lol at least is the one I’m running, no one expects it. That card also works to defend your stuff from removals. So good. Waiting for that rakdos vid!
I’m building this immediately. Drowner has over performed in drafts. Not sure about the skeleton sub theme. Going to swap the package for some other dimir goodies. Great looking deck!
Thanks!!!! Highly recommend trying the Skelly theme. Creates a very quick clock and Mockingbird for 1 mana can copy any skeleton (including the tokens) to make a 3/2 flying haste :)
This deck is awesome!! I think your favorite card ever is mockingbird😉. I just made Mythic with your doll deck it was so freakin fast (and I’m not a fan of fast…but your decks are awesome).

Fun deck but had a bit of bad luck with matchmaker and shuffler and lost 4 games straight in ranked. Changed to your mono red leyline version and three wins in a row. Sometimes it's like that...and also I'm at gold so there's probably more variance in the decks than in mythic. 🤷♂️ Definitely gotta try this more.
Ok I just saw the Mockingbird X Slasher interaction and it makes me think there could be something really cool there with Invasion of Amonkhet X Slasher. If I read it right, either you get Slasher back or you can choose a better card in the grave now (both with Stun counters obviously). It already works with Aclazotz X Invasion. You could even do that whole Overlord/ Battle + Render Inert thing now. Although that might be a bit too cute. Idk if that is your type of deck because it does feel like it would be very value-midrange rather than tempo/ aggro.
Good call! I do like that deck, and if it can afford another 3 drop, could be nice for more synergy if cannot copy an overlord right away :). Note that in my deck, when Mockingbird comes back like this, you can actually turn it into a Skelly token (since 0 mana), that just didn’t come up!

Thanks!!! I think my Black budget deck should still hold up, and the only rare is Corpses which I put in so many of my decks :))). I definitely recommend this Blue/Black one if you are able to get the wildcards at some point in future too!

Especially with leyline. Been using your one drop leyline deck, while I save up but might give your budget black a try! So bored of fling now🤣 it’s no longer funny and unique. It’s now the complete opposite lol
Agreed! We used to be the only channel flinging back in the day - times have changed!!! Budget black should do well (I wonder if switching in a few Anoint with Affliction may be worth to exile red’s stuff). But this Blue/Black one I think is definitely worth when you get it, felt very strong to me, and super fun patterns!

Sweet deck! Since I have most cards already anyways this is going to be fun to try. At 13:00, could you have paid 4 mana for Mockingbird to play around removal by having Sheoldred as a failsafe target, while still keeping 2 mana up for the shuffle or does Mockingbird require exact mana for copying?
Add on question, Im new to trying to get to mythic, highest is diamond 3 thanks to this deck actually. I got to be honest when I first crafted this deck I was absolutely owning, 70-80% win rate out of 50 or so games, update happens this afternoon, and I may be winning 50% now, feels like my opponents are just constantly getting better draws than me. Do things like this happen and just keep trucking? or am I just playing this deck bad? (its ok to be honest! haha)
Could be variance or running into different matchups for a period of time (it definitely happens!). I generally just keep trucking, or could switch to another deck for a bit if getting frustrated. Have a few budget bangers coming soon :)

I had a similar experience-everything was working perfectly fine, but suddenly it feels like my opponents have an answer for every card I play. On top of that, the game now feels much slower compared to how my opponents are playing.
Can you let Mockingbird enter as a copy of a 0 mana value creature when it comes back from the graveyard? Like, for example, the 6/6 flying demon token that one room makes.
Hard disagree! Haha. Avatar comes down turn 2, fuels the graveyard strategy, and dodges board wipes! I think Sheoldred is the worst it’s ever been since it doesn’t even help vs Mono Red anymore
@@MythicMichael All fair points. The mono red comment being the most fair. The reason I disagree is b/c at surface value they both can just be removed, but if not I am pinging you for 2 life and gaining two life, where the avatar is a basic 5/5 (I know it does the mill thing but would like to see deathtouch or menece on it). I feel if the deck has black Sheoldred can be put in the deck, where avatar is more of a situational build around card. It's still a great argument, and ultimately you could 100% be right in this meta, but I think it's a close call either way. ;) Love your content, love these decks. Keep it up my dude.
