Coming back about around 2 and a half years later to re-watch his videos, I realized he won this duel without knowing:
-You can't crit while sprinting
-Would've 10-0'd dream if he had just used his steering wheel
-His strategies were flawless
-Forgetting about his "most intense duel" for about 10 seconds because of stripped wood blocks
-And never got to tell us how he got the crafting table.
But I think he knows that the entire minecraft community respects him and will miss him, goodbye king.

I didn't understand this until recently, but I get Techno's history reference now- after hyperfixating on the Qin dynasty for about a month, that is. The king of the Qin state, Ying Zheng (the guy who ran around a pillar) later went on to conquer the Seven Warring States and become the First Sovereign Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang.
Techno, of course, went on to conquer Minecraft UA-cam, becoming the King of Minecraft and an Internet LEGEND.
And not only did he win this duel, but he also forever won my respect and admiration for his humor, heart, and historical knowledge. I miss knowing that I'll never see a notification from his channel, that I'll never get to chant TECHNOBLADE UPLOADED! to anyone who would listen, that I'd never hear another one of his endlessly witty quips. Watching his videos and hearing his voice again makes me laugh and cry at the same time, thinking about the joy and laughter of what was, the sad reality of what is, and the emptiness and missed opportunities of what will never be. But even though he is no longer with us, he lives on- through every single one of his uploads, the art and lore created by millions of fans around the world, and the people he inspired by his courage to persevere through adversity. Because....
Technoblade never dies.
His content will now age like wine cuz no matter how many times I rewatch his videos, no matter how many time I hear him make the same joke, no matter what I'd still laugh.

The reason Techno is better is that he would actually consider doing that. He has a level of patience and commitment that Dream cannot match. If Techno were the runner in a manhunt, he would just run for thousands of blocks, delaying the fight until eventually he managed to amass a crushing advantage.

high ground is only effective in a game like bedwars where you can get miles of high ground, drop down onto your opponent, and in the tick of taking fall damage, they cant hit you, and you can combo them or slap them off of a bridge.
